I get the impression that you didna know that this song is Haley's own composition, not found for her by a Label. I'm sure she doesna have an A&R man as she is an Indie, not signed up with a major label. Love Haley's new song. It's exactly the kind of music I have been lobbying for her to sing forever. It's very soulful rock music, sort of like James Bay's music was in his first album. If Haley sticks with that kind of sound, she will sell a ton of records.
However, not on this particular album though, as again, she is releasing this new album independently, as opposed to releasing it through her record label, which is very unusual, to say the least.
Hence, the music will receive no record label promotion and support again. So other than her immediate fanbase, no one else will ever hear any of her songs. I can't understand why she continues doing that to herself. The girl needs some serious career guidance bigtime.
In addition, the video for this song sucks to high heaven. It's not only very cheaply made, but the directing and the camera shots are about as piss poor and uncreative as it gets. Indeed, if that's the kind of low-quality low-budget videos she is always going to release, then Haley save your damn money because you will be far better off without a damn video. In fact, this one is so damn bad, that I can't even watch it because the low-quality pisses me off so much that it ruins the song.
Haley, if you can't give us anything better than what you have been giving us with your cheap ass videos, then give us lyric videos instead. I'd much rather watch a lyric video as opposed to something as horribly bad as your music videos. Sorry, but your music videos just suck to high heaven.

Harsh words, but I must admit I wasna very impressed by the video, although the music is great. Poor video doesna matter much to me as it's the music I'm concerned with. However, I expect you're right about it reducing its commercial appeal to youngsters who aren't already fans.

Anyway, it looks like Haley released this new song independently to tease and throw off her fans at the same time, and of course, to also give them a taste of her upcoming new music and to gauge the response. However, the independent release and cheesy music video apparently was all part of an elaborate scheme for the buildup of her new album, which will be called "Lo-Fi Soul" if you haven't heard yet.
As yesterday, Vevo did a promo with Haley to reveal the name of her new album, and what is significant about that is Vevo only works with certain record labels, and Haley's current record label is one of those record labels.
Furthermore, the Vevo promo was obviously to promote Haley's new upcoming album and this promo is about three months in advance of the scheduled release of her new album. Which also indicates that unlike in the past, Haley is going to receive the full package of major promotion, major support, and maximum exposure for the first time in her history this time around. As Vevo promotions don’t come for cheap. Which further means that Haley's record label has a whole lot of faith in Haley's new music and in Haley herself.
Rumor also has it is that Haley's album is filled with very iconic soulful rock music similar to "Don't Know How to Love You", and Haley said the other day during one of her concerts that eventually "Don't Know How to Love You" will hit the radio waves. If it does, it will inevitably become a mega-hit record and Haley’s music career will be launched into outer space.
Hence, I’m betting Haley’s new upcoming album will be one of the top selling new albums of 2019/20 and will garner Haley many accolades and several prestigious music awards.

M-angel sometimes can't seem to get a clue..ovela wants to focus on the video but she distracts him with her unnecessary talking..you can tell she wants attention..she doesn't need it..she is a beautiful woman and one would naturally be drawn to her without her actually having to try..when is she going to realize that? Too much lengthy interrupting of the song by prolonged talking, much of which would have been better kept to the end. Unusual for you to overdo the interruptions like this. Despite that, some good comments made. I think you're right, M-Angel, about a mismatch between the song and the video, and more modern styling and better video overall could catch the eye of the youngsters who are responsible for the huge sales for the stars. Haley's vocals should blow them away. They'll never hear better singing from any of the current stars.
Except Brendon Urie and Arianna Grande. Top three vocalists of all time, personally.
