Who in their right mind has problems with saying that Haley herself and her performances are sexy? Good grief. If nothing else - eye of the beholder and screw them. Great suggestion - Capitol Studios version rather than the Arroyo Seco Festival version (although it is good too). Brilliant recording, with a super baritone sax solo as well. The Capitol version has a very playful side to it as well. Haley manages to impart a sense of humour, almost mischievousness, singing superbly all the while as she does it. I havena heard her tackle a song just like this before. Brilliant.

YOU HAVE TO WATCH Haley's first ever improve with Irvin Mayfield, singing "God bless the child". The reaction from Mr.Mayfield and his band mates is fun to watch. She did things in that performance that I didn't even think were humanly possible.

It's a wonderful performance and the lead guitar player, Anders Grahn, is one of the co-writers of the song along with Haley.
Meanwhile, here is another live performance by Haley singing "House of the Rising Sun" that she did live at the Hard Rock Cafe in LA back in 2912 that will also blow your socks off and your audience away at the same time.

That performance is too good not to react to and it also shows you what kind of true rock voice she has. She has soulful rock music coursing through her veins. Let's hope she sticks in that lane from here on out.

I have a new word for Marco, "sultry". Try that instead of "sexy". "Sultry" is softer and _way_ more suggestive than "sexy". "Sultry" is like turning the heat up slowly instead of just throwing gasoline on the fire. Haley does sultry like it's her natural state of being. Other girls have to _try_ to be sexy. Haley just turns on the heat and lets you melt in it for the entire length of the song. You wind up being like the frog who didn't realize that the water in his pot was gradually, gradually coming to a boil ... until it was too late and he was already cooked.
