Walther PPQ... The manufacturer says "The trigger is the finest ever on a polymer, striker-fired handgun." I agree 100% it is amazing...this gun has the best out of the box trigger I've ever experienced.
Awesome video and isights--Thanks I have been hunting for this gun for a while....so I am looking forward to shooting it soon at a range!!! Great review BTW!!!
Just picked up my ppq m2 a few days ago. 300+ rounds thru it & no issues. The trigger = best polymer pistol trigger on the market. I shoot this gun more accurately than any other gun I've fired. Love it! But, still having trouble finding a good holster for the M2. For those wondering, I contacted Walther, talked to one of their Smiths, and he said a leather holster designed for the PPQ should work. A kydex type, won't work. Assuming, bottom of the trigger guard is wider on the original. Thanks!!
I've got the PPQ M2 in a .40 and I'll tell you what, it's one of the best shooting handguns I've I've had in quite a while. In fact, it may be the best of all I own, especially because of the ergonomics. Really spot on Walther, great job.
Wonderful weapon. In my time in the USMC, DoD and as a Deputy Sheriff this is the best pistol I have been privileged to use and shoot. Thank you Guns and Gear for giving this weapon more publicity.
I knew you would love the PPQ, for exactly all the reasons you just mentioned. It's the Glock killer. Anyone who shoots mine is impressed with the ergos, and yes that trigger, I have had people say, I wish I could put that trigger in my Glock, or in my M&P, or in my XD, XDM. The first PPQ was introduced at shot 2011, the problem was Smith & Wesson who imported them for Walther kept them quiet so they could push their M&Ps, But there was a few of us that found them and fell in love with them.
I love your PASSION - but I love the way you concisely demo and explain WHY you like something. It is one thing to say you like it - it is another to justify it - and with passion. Nicely done. Great video. Sure wished Walther made that same gun with adjustable sights as opposed to fixed sights.
Totally agree that the PPQ has the best striker fired trigger on the market. I also really like that its overall size is pretty compact for a service style pistol. The down side for me is the distance between the back of the grip and the front of the trigger feels very short for my large sized hands. Great vid, keep them coming.
Absolutely a good CCW pistol. Trigger is not to light. Love this review because he accurately depicts the excitement all PPQ owners have when the shoot their gun. Great Job
My PPQ-M2 outta the box was shooting a little low. I bought a shorter front sight (#1) from Walther. Now my POA and POI are the same (at 50-75'). Fantastic gun.
I want this gun in .40 caliber! I've got enough 9's. The fact that the Walther .40 only comes with 11+1, is not a deterrent in anyway to me. The .40 is a great self defense round, especially when you place either Federal or Winchester ammo in your side arm. This was an outstanding review, and left me salivating the more for a Walther. I'll have it in my collection real soon!
I keeping pushing this gun to the back of my short wishlist and I keep watching reviews of this gun. My next gun was gonna be a CZ P-01, but I may just have to get this instead. Every review I watch/read of this gun just raves about the awesome trigger it has.
Vince Lok My understanding of using the "Stop" method is to provide legal protection to you, in case you encounter an overzealous Prosecutor. By yelling "Stop," it is hoped that witnesses are within earshot, and they can vouch for you; that you weren't some "Bloodthirsty Gun Nut," out to kill someone: That you indeed gave the threat a warning. I lived in upstate New York for a number of years, and it was recommended by one of my teachers to use this admonition, "Loudly!"
I shot one of these a few months ago. I was really, really impressed. Great trigger, great ergos, great grip, very accurate, very smooth mag release, sights recover nicely.....just nice. I just didn't like that the grip was G19 sized. I wished it was G17 sized. Makes reloads a bit easier. While my favorite 9mm remains the CZ 75 AccuShadow, this one was impressive!
Good review of trigger and sights. Fired a 9mm for the 1st time yesterday - I am just a casual shooter but this gun is VERY accurate at 7 and 15 yards. Great feel in the hand - really like it.
I agree that is an between from the two guns you mentioned. You won't be disappointed. I love the G19 but this PPQ M2 is a definite competitor. Thanks for watching and commenting.
What a great pistol I had read they were very good but that,s the first time I had seen one in action, that trigger looks a dream to use too, great video,
Great demo, I thought what you did was perfect to show how the pistol performs. I've heard great reviews about this pistol, but this was the first video I've seen on one actually being shot. I prefer a .45 for being in law enforcement on duty, but the 9 would be a good off duty gun for me. Great Job.
I shoot a SW99 (Smith & Wesson 99) with the AS (anti-stress) trigger. It too has a very short reset at about 1/8". The trigger is what sold me on this 40 cal handgun, and the ergonomics are outstanding as well. The only shortcoming to me, is magazine capacity is only 12 + 1. It's very accurate for a handgun too.
Thanks for the video. Think I'm going to purchase soon. I envy you folks that live in wooded surroundings with your own shooting range in the backyard.
I have not shot the Walther enough to be able to make a choice. M&ps and Glocks are very reliable & have proven themselves to me over the years. That being said the ergonomics and trigger of this PPQM2 are superior to any other striker fired guns that I own. I'm a huge glock 19 fan and have to say based on the short amount of shooting I did with the PP Q it is superior to the G 19. That being said I'm still not selling my Glock's or my M&Ps. But I do want a PPQ for my collection!
Jesus this guys a good shot. I guess when you have a world class firearm like the PPQ it helps also!!! PPQ is one of those rare and Special pistols that really get you giddy when you shoot it. Its like GOD made this gun. Its perfection.
I have tennis elbow too. I have four more magazines. It's a sexy pistol to me. It's second pistol I have but I'm planning on getting more firearms another Walther PPQ. I'm a lefty that's why I bought a PPQ.
Any after market sights made for the Walther P99 will fit the PPQ. And there are steel guide rods available also. Again this was S&Ws best kept secret the Walther PPQ since 2011. Yes available this year for you competition guys is the 5" barrel and slide version. Now that Walther USA is set up in the US , Walther is handling there own importation and sales and marketing so parts, and mags will all be available soon. Check out Walther Usa web site. Excellent pistol.
Thanks for the review! Everybody that owns one or review one loves it but I've yet to see one in any gun stores around here. I saw one with the old euro style mag release several years ago but none since.
There is 4.6" barrel versions of the PPQ M2 which would be competitor for the G17. And a 5" barrel version that is a competitor for the G34. The 4" barrel version yes is the competitor for the G19
I love watching your obvious giddiness when talking about the trigger. I have not shot the PPQ M2 but the trigger looks very similar to the Bersa BP9CC which has a very nice trigger as well. Nice video.
First I have seen of the video ..clearly made a while back.. I dont think I have ever seen that much enthusiasm in a gun review..I last week bought a new PPQ.45.. I wish I had time to shoot it.. unlike the 9mm I find the slide a bit to the sloppy side..it likely has no ill effect on its ability to hit the paper..it to comes with a composit guide rod..look... Its a German designed weapon.. Who am I to say it should be made of steel?? They engineered it the way it is..I trust Walther. It is so close in size to the 9mm I would defy you blindfolded to identify which you are holding..which feels amazing in your hand..cant wait to fire it!!
I have a Glock 17 Gen 4, which I truly enjoy. I have been wondering about the Walther PPQ M2 Pistol. Looking for video reviews and bingo, seen yours. As always, you have a way to capture, an audience's attention. Based on the name alone, Walther PPQ M2 should be a quality crafted firearm to own. The downside............living here in Canada we are limited to 10 round mags like some States are today.... I enjoyed watching your informative video this morning on the PPQ M2 , take care
I would say all are great. Over the last year I have used the M&P almost exclusively so that is home base. However, the Walther would be a winner for some, if the mags weren't so har to get. Also the Glock is a proven choice for me. All are exceptional guns.
Interesting how Walther put actual steel better lower profile sights on the less expensive bigger PPX. I think for a range/home defense gun the PPX is the better way to go. But the PPQ may be a hair easier to conceal. The trigger on the PPX is amazing also.
I have looked at these...my only complaint ( and it's pretty minor ) is bore axis ,looks a bit like a hammer fired gun converted to striker fired, it felt slightly top heavy when i handled one at my local shop...really like everything else about it though . great review !
I have shot this gun. It was not for me. I don;t like the DA/SA set up in general. Double action is very long hard and gritty. Especially for a new shooter learning the fundamentals for trigger management. It is so much harder when going from double to single action. FN makes great products. Ultimately is a personal choice. For my students I have found more success when they start with striker fired guns (Glocks, M&Ps, XDs, Walther, ect). Hope this helps... Thanks for watching.
Yes this gun is amazing, the Sig P229 SAS has a very similar trigger (SRT) (short reset trigger), you must shoot this guns for understand what this guy is talking about. Good video.
Great video. First time I've seen someone shoot it besides myself. You do this gun justice. Awesome gun I recommend it for sure. Try gunbroker for anyone that is lookin to buy one of these beauties.
Just got one. Fucking amazing. Ive always been into compact size guns but full size for home and range purpose makes this gun worth it especially with the trigger.
Thank you for a fine video - I bought a PPQ 5" and agree - the trigger is fantastic. I wonder if you could do a 5" video to compare the 4" vs 5" and see if the added 1" makes any difference to you. I also own a Walther PPX and think that it is a good gun - I'd like to see what you think of it in a video. Thanks again for your efforts on your videos - I always like them.
Most P99 or PPQ M1 holsters will work (but not all). What kind of holster? Holsters for the P99 generally fit. Range/OWB use - IMI/Sig-tac roto-paddle (SERPA-like, made in Israel), or fobus kydex passive retention, Safariland 6378.. Competition: comp-tac or bladetech, Safariland IWB - Minotaur MTAC and many others..
Great review. I got my PPQ m1 9 recently and love it. Curious if you've ever messed around with the various Glock trigger upgrades? That Zev ultimate trigger upgrade for the 19 looks like it gives the PPQ a run for its money. I love my PPQ, but if I could get a Glock close to it in terms of break and reset, it sure would be nice to have access to all the aftermarket support and product lines Glock has. Also the lower bore axis is one real advantage the 19 has over the PPQ. I love my Walthers (PPS and PPQ) but I have started to warm to Glock a bit.
Nice shooting and once again, GREAT gun review! But how in the heck can you stand your watch so loose??? lol. Thanks for the vids. You have a GREAT channel and provide great reviews.
I am also in the process of my evaluation and review of the PPQ M2. I really enjoyed watching your video, and I've subbed. I totally understand why you're so giddy in this video. I am having the same experience with mine.
Thanks for watching and commenting you're a lucky guy to own one of these fine pistols. It's definitely on my wish list.
Excellent Demo & Review.
I own the PPQ M2 and I'm equally impressed & satisfied. This pistol is, in a word, "SWEET"
Great review! Your enthusiasm for the sport is contagious. Thanks for the effort. Just ordered mine this afternoon.
Awesome video and isights--Thanks I have been hunting for this gun for a while....so I am looking forward to shooting it soon at a range!!! Great review BTW!!!

Glad to see a Honest and Reliable Review on this Weapon i picked 1 up about a month ago and it a Great Gun..
Thanx for your always detailed explanations. Just got this gun in a 5" barrel…Whoa!
I really loved your review because it was obvious how much your liked this gun (trigger).

grabagun has mags in stock, both 15 and 17rd.
check budsgunshop, grabagun, or gunbroker for a dealer if you can't locate the PPQ M2 locally..
What a great pistol I had read they were very good but that,s the first time I had seen one in action, that trigger looks a dream to use too, great video,
Great shooting - thanks for posting. Never owned a Walther but plan to take a closer look.
Great video and you verified what all other reviews have said about the Walther PPQ, This will be the next purchase I make.
I fired one last week.Yes,the trigger is fantastic.

First gun I bought in 9mm. Its so nice I bought it twice!!
I've done that many times myself. Always goof to have a backup!
Thanks for the video. Think I'm going to purchase soon. I envy you folks that live in wooded surroundings with your own shooting range in the backyard.
I like the opening of the video. Bringing it!
Looks fantastic, trigger is like my M&P with the Apex tactical FSS trigger kit installed.
Thanks for a great Vid dude!!
I've got an M1 on the way and I am really excited....thanks for the video !!!

Love my ppq m2 in .40!
nice just got mine yesterday I've always wanted a Walther ever since I seen Golden Eye

this guy shoots well. But he looks. funny while shooting
Ok, i understand... thanks !
Nice shooting and once again, GREAT gun review! But how in the heck can you stand your watch so loose??? lol. Thanks for the vids. You have a GREAT channel and provide great reviews.
I'm gaga over my M1 version. I just wish mags were easier to come by.
forget the usp.the ppq is the real thing. good vid
Dude you rock, Love your reviews. Sgt Lindner MP, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, US ARMY
Many thanks for watching and a huge thank you for your service to our country. Hope you'll share the channel with others at your base. Stay safe....
I am also in the process of my evaluation and review of the PPQ M2. I really enjoyed watching your video, and I've subbed. I totally understand why you're so giddy in this video. Shooting the PPQ is like driving a BMW down a canyon road - you just can't get the smile off your face.
I'd like to know what holster you're using with it...
Great video and review. I am having the same experience with mine.
Will be picking one up this week.
Nice shooting!
nice pistol great shooting
i wish they made a single stack subcompact version of this. they make the PPS but I've heard the trigger is not the same.
