This exercise is brutal! :) I had pain/tension around my inner thigh for 1-2 years, sometimes harder, sometimes weaker. If I did workout or stretched, always got worse...
Probably the tension in inner thigh was related to sciatic nerve problem, too.
I built in exercise in my morning routine (began 2-3 weeks ago) & it seems to be disappearing... Which is unbelievable...! Even after the first try my inner thigh was much more relaxed than anytime before. It takes just 2-3 minutes every day & I have no tension at all! So, surprisingly this simple exercise really seems to work! :) Big thank from Hungary! :)

My Doc. Dominque here in Whistler highly recommended Foundation Training for me and my lower back issues. I am 58 and have have been very active in adventure sports all my life, Rock Climbing, Skiing, Back country and Telemark Skiing, Mountain Biking Downhill and XC and Surfing. Over the past 3 years I have been experiencing brutal lower back pain. So went to the ex pro snowboarder Doctor Dominque Vallee who recommended Foundation Training and wow My wife and I have been doing the 12 minute work out every 2nd day and "No back pain ever". Close after major Mtn bike rides for 4 + hours I am stiff but hey. This is amazing and have shared with my entire family and business associates and extreme sports enthusiasts - Thanks Dr. Eric!

Well, I gotta tell you. This has really helped me. I’m a contractor for the past 20 or 30 years. I have three or four acute bouts of lower back pain. I miss at least two days of work and probably am in pain for two weeks. A customer of mine who happened to be a doctor, after discussion about my limping around, said watch Eric Goodman’s video. “”It’ll change your life”. It was absolutely right. This works for me like Magic. I’m coming up on a year having learned this technique. I have not had one incident of that acute lower back pain. I do it every morning that I play basketball. It’s been an incredible help.
It may, may, have helped my jumpshot.… Just sayin’…

That’s 3 or 4 episodes of acute back pain every year.

Tried this today and the Basic Foundation Training exercise - two exercises and I felt a different immediately after each one. I am convinced, and I will keep doing them and adding your routines to my schedule. Thank you.

Great explanation for why you are doing this exercise because of too much external rotation. I need to understand why I am doing these exercises as it help me to buy into them and helps me to understand the focus and purpose so I continue to do them. Thank you Dr. Goodman. You always do a fantastic job of explaining things.

When keeping arms in the air, with an imaginary grapefruit in the hands and breething big into the rib cage, are the shoulders suppused to touch the ground or lifting the arms high so that the shoulders lifts too?

This is a great video and helped one of my athletes straight away, thank you for posting! May I suggest adding to the title the actual function of the video, so it's easier for many more to find to address the dysfunction?

Nice one 💕.. just one question , when I tried this work out , I’m getting a arch in my lower back (a small gap between the floor and the Lower back ) . Is it okay to have the arch ? Or should we lay flat on the ground without any arch to get the maximum benefit?

Like a hollow hold? I think it would be a big enough modification that he'd definitely mention it.

consider - 1:12 or so... "the parts of her body that are on the ground are the tailbone, the middle of her ribcage, and the neck and hip"

All good great and make senses but the neck that straight I don’t think so. She should bringing it in natural curve, lordosis cervical. Thanks!

    Hi Dr.
I hope you see this comment cause I've tried EVERYTHING. My sciatica isn't caused by any disc issue. I've had sitting and lying MRIs. It's not my piriformis either. I've been told I just have such weak stability muscles in my lower back and just a dysfunctional relationship between all those muscles.
Will this, or the 12 minute video, help?

    • @FoundationTraining
      @FoundationTraining  2 ปีที่แล้ว

please use the baseline program on our foundation training app if you are serious about learning the details. of our TH-cam selection I would suggest the new 12 minute video, or the anchoring tutorial on repeat.
