Fantastic! thanks for the video. I got mine just before Xmas and wrapped for under the tree but haven't really had any time to explore much (though my 9yo has had a great time making wild noise loops based on them screaming "poopy pants" into the mic. This is my first sampler/Electronic music device so there is a lot of learning to come (and a lot of muscle memory to the workflow - i.e. jammi mode/bank/loop input setting, switch to chompi get sample, back jammi, trim loop, etc.) I don't have much of a setup though I will end up routing through a super basic USB mixer when I finally settle down to experiment. that said, I feel like I get a TON of case/button noise whenever I "chomp" sample using the onboard mic.
after you Get the flow on lock, yall Gotta make the poopy pants EP. three, reaaally short sonGs; just yall. when he's 29, he's Gon feel that EP in his taxes. in the Greatest way. ❤🦾🔊.
haha dude that's like saying you had to swim in the ocean to keep you busy while waiting for the pool :) no disrespect though, enjoy ur chompi when it arrives :)
I didn't think about it much before your comment, and I actually intended to counter your argument as I was thinking about it. But yeah, its not likely that I would use the handle for anything- but more often than not the existence of that handle will negatively impact my music set up with this thing
This would make a better plug-in. 6 knobs, and the rest are computer keyboard buttons, with no idea wher the parameters are set. And some idiot is selling a pink one on Reverb for $1,150, and out there is an idiot that's going to buy this. IMO, the reason this has any appeal is that it looks like a toy. It's limited and flawed. It should be selling for $400 tops.
2023 saw the release of the two most overrated and overpriced gear ever : the horrendously cheap EP-133 and the atrociously overpriced Chompi. Chompi is a big let down. And reviewers need to address what’s missing here. Cause for the price, it’s more a matter of what it doesn’t do than what it actually does. 600€ is a joke. Clearly.
THE MOST NEGATIVE COMMENTS ABOUT CHOMPI ARE ALL FROM PEOPLE WHO ARE INTERESTED AND INTRIGUED BY CHOMPI BUT ARE TRYING TO CONVINCE THEIRSELVES THAT WHAT THEY ALREADY HAVE IS TECHNICALLY BETTER BUT THEY SEE CHOMPI DOES THINGS EASIER AND FASTER IN A MORE INTERESTING WAY THAN THEIR MORE CAPABLE MACHINE SO THEREFORE THEY HAVE TO HATE CHOMPI

@ 2:50 you're so right
finally fellow qwerty keyboardist unite. Does this have velocity sensitivity? maybe can be done ala the teenage engineering switch style on TKO II
No velocity I'm afraid :(
Man, I don't know. It's like $200 for the actual piece of hardware, and $400 for the quirky design. So, where do I sign up for one?
sick
Fish and a Rice Cake
Looks like a toy for a play pen.
I know, right? It's so awesome! 😊
Ah yes, the guitar pedal. The musician's standard unit of measure haha! How much did it cost in guitar pedals???
Thanks for sharing about the Chompi. I'm still on the waiting list. Had to buy an op1 field to keep me busy in the meantime. :)

Buying a Ferrari while waiting for a Toyota is wild.
IT'S LIKE SAYING YOU BOUGHT THE OP1 FIELD WHY YOU WAIT FOR CHOMPI 🤔
The handle is dumb imo

@@RP-mp4ow That’s exactly what I’m thinking. Sure, it’s cute but for a studio it seems like nothing but a pain. Should be removable at the very least.
it's easy to take off (intentionally), 2 hex screws.
Because safely carrying your new 600.00 chompi is overrated 🤣
@@Michael_Jeromy_Kaiser "safely"?
i ordered two, payed and NEVER GOT ONE!!

SCAM!!
Sounds like you bought the Facebook scam ones.

You seem a little angry bro
@@Nick-ox9hb Nah, I'm as happy as flies on poop. I got my hands on a pink one for $650. You passive aggressive much?

Marketed to the kickstarter crowd that thinks they are getting in on some new invention or technology.
@@coopedup2 exactly my point. Well said.
Who pissed in your Moog One? 🤔
@@smaller_cathedrals probably the same guy that pissed in and on your studio, I guess 😂 you made my day tho
