    How do I separate deluge midi channels? When I midi learn values on Deluge I get two different sounds. I would like them separated on different Torso tracks. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for any help you can provide

    • @nooooddy
      @nooooddy 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Mute the other Torso channels you have playing just while you midi learn the one you want to control. The Deluge will only ‘hear’ the Torso channel that remains unmuted. As soon as it’s learned it you can unmute the other Torso channels. Example: Torso Track 1 is controlling a synth on the Deluge on midi channel 1. It’s playing and sounds great. Now you want to add a bass using Torso Track 2 to control the Deluge. Create a new Deluge bass track. Mute Torso Track 1. Place some trigs on Torso track 2, make sure it’s transmitting on midi track 2. Go to your Deluge bass track and midi learn by holding ‘Learn’ and pressing the audition pads. If your bass starts playing, you’ve done it! Now unmute Torso Track 1 and enjoy!

    • @nooooddy
      @nooooddy 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey Robert! Great question. I also tried using an iOS envelope follower and an audio interface. The envelope follower was Envolver and worked perfectly. Envolver allowed me to assign midi cc to control Hypno depending on the audio input. It worked beautifully for DJing but wasn’t a super portable setup because of the audio interface. So far the Rhythm Scope works well but there is a tiny lag, maybe 2ms, likely because of the analog to digital signal path.

    The original Brompton inventor, Andrew Ritchie invented the principles for his especially compact, double folding bike in the nineteen-seventies but also gave rise to a lot of one hinge, and horribly riding small wheel bikes, just able to fold in one direction. But today I'm an owner of the now-former Top model: LightweightH6LXBrompton, and trying to make it even lighter, with all the titanium and carbon parts I may find. I have just added a 535 mm black titanium seat post to mine, though being a rather tall man, also for more ease of putting it in my black B&W travel box. Mine has a titanium fork and the back frame, swinging down. And different parts also from carbon.

    • @finncarlbomholtsrensen1188
      @finncarlbomholtsrensen1188 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      And as most Brompton owners know, you are able to replace the much less efficient, small pieces of - clear tape 🤔, from the factory, with much better and unoriginal pieces of carbon + tape, which cover the back frame-tube at the chain (From the chain and also the - fork-hook and a plate bolted on the front from the cables + also the painted bottom of the crank against hits and scratches!). It was about the first parts I ordered when I bought my bike + I also gave it a full car polish, all over, to protect its paint. And after only a few times folding, the "original tape" was, nearly worn through, so I managed to save my paint after all! And the Brompton Factory obviously knows of all those places, so why don't they give them an honest kind of protection, instead of only - clear tape? I have also given it two sewn-on pieces of leather, to protect the frame and stem tube from wear and scratches.

    • @finncarlbomholtsrensen1188
      @finncarlbomholtsrensen1188 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I’ve had mine for almost 6 months. Rear view is fine, I don’t use it, I will use it if ever the boot is so filled that I can’t see out through the rear windscreen. The side camera monitor surrounds doesn’t bother me, yes, they could be better but they blend in fine with the rest of the dash. The manually operated seats don’t bother me either, I kind of expect it from a city car. You also get used to infotainment, it’s no Tesla tech for sure but it’s okay. What the E has which pretty much all the other EVs don’t have is a 3 pin plug and a HDMI socket. Using a hack means passengers can watch anything from BBC’s iPlayer to Netflix to Disney World whilst in motion - We LOVE it. And you can’t buy more stares & attention from admirers this side of £150k. In fact, I reckon you’d need to Spend tens of thousands more to get anywhere nr the attention this gets.

    Even before I watched this video, these are the things I loved about the i3. One thing more is that the i3 is light enough (slightly more than 3,000 lbs) and this is truly a bonus for hauling the car and my family the extra miles with the relatively small battery pack compared with other EVs. Also, given the current gasoline shortage in the U.K., i3 and other EV owners would certainly feel so lucky and privileged for owning an EV!

    Thanks for this - waiting for mine to be delivered in the next few weeks, and hearing about both the bad and good from someone who actually has the car is really helpful. Most of the points I had heard of in one way or another - I definitely won't be leaving the key at home, that is for sure. As for the software, everything is relative. I am coming from 4 years in a Zoe, which was great value, better range than the e, and I do like it but the software has always cut phone/USB audio for a second after every nave announcement or beep, and for the past couple of years once every week or two preceded it with an almighty, full-volume 'bang' without any warning. Dodgy menus and the odd lag notwithstanding, CarPlay and not driving a moving jump-scare will be heaven! I also laughed more about your unrepeatable description of the looks than I have in a long time.

      @@TheReubenBonnici As I share this car with my wife, I adjust the seat regularly which is why it’s probably a much bigger deal for me! Thanks for you comments Reuben. I will flag them up in the next video if that is ok.

    Its a city car so whats the point of saying the range is not like a Tesla - very irritating. Its not rushed out infact this car was already developed and made before the supposed launch of the Urban E, the car on the Honda stand was actually made for the show only as the E was already ready for production, Honda don't rush things to market.

      I will address these comments (and your irritation) in a further video. Irrespective of the market segment and average miles driven by folk, 100 mile range at this price point is not competitive. Comparing it to Tesla is extreme and I’m grateful for the extra info re production of the E. Thanks for commenting.

    Regarding the flappy paddle issue. Hondas thinking goes something like this: they treated the paddles as direct replacements for an ICE with a semi automatic gear box. As you approach a corner, you smash down the gears using the “minus” paddle therefore increasing engine braking. If you think about it this way, it makes sense.

    Great video, thanks. You've had the E and the BMW i3, which do you prefer?

      I think the i3 is more refined but the Honda is more fun. The tech and build of the Honda feels marginally inferior to the BMW, the driving position of the i3 is a little higher and for me felt a little better. The i3 feels a little faster 0-30mph. However the Honda feels more planted and stable. The actual driving characteristics of the E feel more playful and fun. The i3 feels kinda studious and serious- which is fine if you just want something well behaved but I like the mischievousness of the E and the fact it has real driving character. It’s a hard comparison to make as they feel like very different cars but my wife has said she would prefer to have the i3. Maybe that’s ‘grass is greener’? Maybe she’s forgotten what it’s like to drive. I’ll try and make more E-related videos talking about it’s character and charm!

    People just seem to look at this cars negatives more than I think any other EV.It seems a great Car to me futuristic,stylish full of tech.In a boring world of SUV blandness its a breath of fresh air.

    This was hard to listen to - how cynical can one person be? Why did you bother buying it if all the quirks that make the car cool are just another thing for you to turn your nose up at? Moaning about things that don't really matter but doesn't mention the worst thing that plagues all new cars - all these cameras but there's no built in recording for crashes.
