Congrats on the victory! If I may ask, what led you to choose Olympia over Kassai? I really like the feel of Olympia, but Kassai’s gold generation doesn’t risk the opponent getting benefits and has an ability that rewards cracking gold
I guess I'll answer that. Olympia's main advantage over Kassai is that his name isn't Kassai. Really. This simple thing makes him unable to play Kassai Specializations which are really weak and bait and require playing other weak cards to make them work. That way you're freeing about 10-15 main deck slots for cards that are actually good. Also hatchets are natively better than sabers in almost every scenario
Olympia doesn't have the requirement of running yellows to generate gold and is not "forced" to run swords. Red and blues make your deck more effiicient in general and trading the popoff potential of Kassai for more consistent value per turn.
The wagers are optional so you can weigh the risk/reward before you wager.
But the real reason is because i got an Up the Ante mat and I promised to play Olympia for a RTN once I secured a slot. 😂
