  • Orly Shani is getting into the holiday spirit by taking solar lights and decorating them to resemble candy canes. Make sure your lights are weatherproof so you can display them outside.

    I always love the acting as if they’ve never heard of said items that they’re using 🤣

    You can also use pool noodles instead of pvc pipe

    I would use green garden stakes they are 3'...and slip the PVC over it...LOVE the idea. But in north ground is hard. LOVE the idea.

      Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. The ground here is solid at times.

      I would stake mine in the snow...we get a foot or two of the stuff each Christmas

      I was thinking the same thing. Besides the PVC will break if you hit it too hard

      just know, the stripes do not always come out evenly spaced. My tape is smooth and flat with no bubbles and one side is further spaced. Might leave it because it gives the illusion of a fatter bottom for my North Pole.

    Did this years ago and the tape turned yellow after a week. Great idea just not for san diego, CA where the sun kills everything

    You can remove the writing by using clear pvc primer!

    Can anyone tell where these lights are from? I want this particular light because they look like crystal and are very elegant. Would’ve been nice to link the products used 😢

      Not those specifically, but I bought mine from the following site. They are REAL crackle glass and light up beautifully. www.crov.com/p/gigalumi-solar-lights-outdoor-cracked-glass-ball-dual-led-garden-lights-landscapepathway-lights-for-path-patio-yard-color-changing-and-white-3-packs_erqYVEbgvcDo.html?gclid=CjwKCAiAt4rfBRBKEiwAC678KVXI9S-eIC1nxa6TQcu3FY4eIVFLKVRPvz2p6HmQ3cBCrpUOoW8QYBoCzsAQAvD_BwE

    Wouldn't work well here in upstate NY, they would be buried in snow quickly. Just the other day we got 12" over night.

      I'm born and bred Californian, I was at my daughter's house in Utah for Christmas we had a light snowfall on Christmas Day-I was so excited! But only for a few inches of snow. Not 12" overnight. You all are brave souls to live in so much snow!

    The poles mark the way to the barber/bleeder. ... Kinda silly or grim if you think about it.

      @carmingo55 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Denise De Jesus she said 2 inch and regular red duct tape but u can use any size u want

    • @RealityBytes228
      @RealityBytes228 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      she mentions it at the 1:36 mark. 1-1/2" PVC

    • @carmingo55
      @carmingo55 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      U can make 3 out of a 10 ft pvc pole $6.50 approx Home Depot (3ft) and put them over any stakes or cut them like she did at angle
      Plus dollar stores sell solar lights super cheap!

      @@carmingo55
      She said 2 feet, so you could make about 5, with the tape and PVC total is about $12ish, the real cost is the lights, they are not cheap, usually 3 to 4 per box, around $20 per box and up...but I guess these are still cheap in the long run, maybe approx $20 to make each one, give or take a few $$

    God does not, dam anything,by the way, Candy canes are a symbol of Jesus lashings, by his stripes we have healing, I peter 2, 24

      Janice Witzke candy canes were already popular long before this symbolism theory emerged. It’s a nice theory, but just another stolen holiday tradition.
