- Today we take a look at HelloFresh (The Beehive), Bermuda Industrial Estate, 1 St Georges Way, Nuneaton CV10 7JS.
We cycle down a cycle lane from a roundabout which leads directly onsite site and begin filming.
Security come and and try to communicate.
Eventually they retreat and we carry on.
We highlight a HGV slip road which is being used as a car park and speak to fencing contractors about a tick box excercise.

As a security officer and supervisor I'm supposed to be impartial,, however, this is really getting under my skin.
It cost me a lot of money to complete my training and the recent upskilling to maintain my licence.
And still there are these issues where officers are employed who can't string a sentence together and who have zero ability to engage people professionally.
It's embarrassing and annoying.

They can definitely speak english, but they don't speak clearly. Not the best at engaging the public. I use Hello Fresh and love the idea, but i am not impressed with the performance of their staff here.

As someone who has worked security for over 30 years I can honestly say seeing mupets like them working security just boils my piss ! Amateurs full stop and even though I'm a photographer and drone pilot so know the laws I'd expect anyone in security should have some knowledge of the laws, but going by that guys attitude guess I should not be surprised?
From my experience most security guards are muppets, it’s the rule rather than the exception.
There's a few of us that feel the same way. Had many a run in with security outside of work for making the rest of us look bad.
And if they don't know the laws, then don't pretend to do so either.

I used Hello Fresh for a while and it tastes good, I was really impressed with a lot of the meals and it made me try things I'd never ever think of eating otherwise. It's a shame the security aren't up to scratch...

HelloFresh made a number of mistakes:
1. The first security guy with badge said he wasn't recording, when in fact he was. I don't know whether the same rules apply as police, but data protection handling laws certainly apply and a member of the public has a right to know if they're being filmed so they can request a copy of the recording at a later date if need to be. So when asked are you recording me he should have said yes. Which then lets you exercise your FOI request legal right to request a copy of the recording, and maybe even ask them to delete it.
2. The second guy had no ID card and as pointed out, that's a legal requirement to wear it but he claimed it wasn't and he didn't need to wear it.
3. They seemed to think as a company it's ok to record a member of the public (not even on their property) but that you're not allowed to record them even from a public space. That's not how it works. Anyone can film anyone in a public space, including them and their building. Technically, since DJ was on public land and they're a commercial company and so subject to data protection handling law, he could object to being filmed by a bodycam and could ask them not to do that to respect and protect his privacy. Whilst the public has the right to video record anyone and anything they can see in a public place, commercial companies are more restricted in data collecting and handling.

For the SIA on display you could give them an analogy of a car reg plate, if you get pulled over witihout one on your car its not good enough to say "I've got one, its inside"

To have security staff who are incorrectly trained, who do not understand UK laws, can't de-escalate a scenario and who have difficulty understanding and speaking the English language really doesn't bode well for the company. Who ever the security company are, they need investigating.

2) look at what the staff eat? Was it free? Was it new and exciting upcoming meals? Did they bring their own (that looks bad)? Why did team leaders drive/walk off for a meal (that looked really really bad, extra bad for missing “a” Lader)?

The road is publicly maintained by the council and all the cars should receive parking tickets from the council.
