    The absolute cutest moment was when you and your sweet baby were both looking into the camera with such trepidation. You can't make that happen..that was so special.

    You did an excellent job contructing that dress. You should be very proud of your accomplishment. You learned your patience and commitment to finish a task from someone and it shows. Great job!!❤❤❤❤❤

    Your dress turned out beautiful. I do exactly as you mentioned; I walk away from a project, when it becomes overwhelming. Then, in a few days, I can go back to the project, with a fresh outlook, and the project just seems to fall into place, every time. Enjoy your dress. Looking forward to your next video.

    it looks awesome, I love the sleeves! When I get stuck almost at the point of throwing it out, I actually take a break like you did but then I come back 'dressed as though I was ready to wear it' .. ie, do my hair, shoes, makeup etc as though I was about to toss on the outfit & head out the door. I find that helps as I'm normally sitting sewing covered in threads, cooking dinner at the same time and supervising arguing kids so if I come back ready to rock the outfit then I find my mind is in a better headspace!

      Wow really! I bought this sheet a few years back and have had it sitting on my shelf for the longest time. Knew I wanted to use it for something but finally came up with a design that I thought would work well with it. It’s so soft too.

    Lovely results! I sew with thrifted sheets, curtains, tablecloths and even tapestry. I too have played the thread game with my serger. I've won many times by tying on a new spool to the old spool. YEHAW when it works. Maybe you can too. New subscriber.

    How much fabric do we need for skirt part?

    • @brookedweller
      @brookedweller  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      About the width of a queen sized flat sheet haha. Didn’t seem to measure that out. I usually just measure for length and gather up as much fabric as I can muster for ample fullness.

  • @kilodeltawhisky1504
    @kilodeltawhisky1504 ปีที่แล้ว

    Can't hear this... My volume is up as far as it goes. I can hear the narrative though. Love the blue and white bedsheet!
    Added:. Your baby is adorable. I applaud you for being able to continue your sewing and such with young ones underfoot. I never had children, but many animals and can't imagine how much more everything children require from us. Time, love, patience, when your tired, frustrated... It's all (emotions) multipled when it's your children needing you.
    The dress looks soooo pretty with, and without the sleeves. I agree that stepping away is the best way sometimes, to deal with the parts when you're not sure how to proceed. I do this all the time. Which probably explains why I have so many hobbies and projects. It's also hard to make clothes for ourselves because we just can't reach and see parts (sides and backs).
    Anyway... This is going to turn out just fine, despite setbacks and frustration. Sewing can be so...🤬😫😕😑🙃🙂😏🤪 . lol. 💃

      @@brookedweller I hate to complain. I was a bit cranky... Lol. It can't be easy filming what you're doing. It just takes time to get proficient. Lord knows if I filmed myself it would be a sheetshow...😳😆😁. What's great is that we crafty types can understand the frustration and relate. I appreciate you being so open in that respect.
