good vid, except what you refer to as the Buzzer + pin is actually vbat and your camera wire should go there. just so you know since you seem to want to keep it neat. The buzzer plugs into the buzzer - and 5v right next to it... says so in the manual ;)

If you insert cable before soldiering then you solder it from back side it’s better
Thank you for taking the time to post such an informative video. I’m also in the middle of a 6” 3km range Flynocerous Aether frame Kakute F4 V2 build and can confirm UART 3 (T3 & R3) can also be used for a Crossfire receiver. It seems UART 3 can auto-detect whether to invert or not. Very cool ! I now need to figure out if I can use the SP pad (UART 1) for Smart Audio to control a TBS Unify. That then leaves UART 4 for GPS and UART 6 for Runcam control and UART 5 (Rx pad) for ESC telem. Happy flying ...

if you want to put a wire through a hole and solder it you should try to put the wire in the hole and then aply heat and solder, and if its hard then try to do it under the FC witch the wire comes out the hole.
dont just add solder on a pad with a hole and block the hole for the wire.
I was thinking, since people make comments about you using a large soldering tip for every pad... you could have one of your other portable irons set up with a smaller tip for the signal pads. I’m guilty of never changing my tip size either to be honest. Keep up the great videos! 👍🏻

Awesome build! Love your channel! I'm using kakute v2 in my build as well. I routed the vtx/cam differently though, and I'm having some noise and flickering osd issues. Could you help me out? I power the cam from the VTX 5v output. And the VTX power lead is connected to the B+ pad next to the 5v pad instead of the battery. Might this be an issue? And also I think the problems started when i switched the VTX power to the higher settings (600mw).
One more question, what temp. is set on your soldering iron?

Dronography-Aerial Meditation my advice is to have about 4 cups of coffee and maybe even a red bull right before you solder. The uncontrollable shakes really adds to the challenge of soldering lol
3 cups down, may have to go in there and give it a shot. LOL
Am I the only one that see's the camera is crooked? I know you said that you had a problem with mounting it, but I don't know if I could fly with it that way. I am already going cross-eyed when flying FPV...LOL Otherwise, great build! I have yet to build a six inch and I think it's about time. I want it for distance and some free style... Hi Drone Mesh, question about the Tekko32 esc's i got 5 wires coming out to my board, + / - / TX / White one / Blue one / Gnd . Where is that last one GND going ? i see you leave it without wiring ?

First time builder question...
For the Tekko32, you only solder the (white) PWM to M[n] and (blue) Tx to Rx5 pins, but not the ground?
Any reason why not (since they seem to include a smaller black wire in the stack kit)? :)

If you use a multimeter, you find continuity between both GND pads, therefore it is OK to leave the one next to the TX pin

Hi there! I am quite a beginner, and I wonder: ground signal for for ESC is not required?
And if it does so (in my case maybe haha), do we have to join GND (small port GND next to PWM and TX in the video) of alll ESCs and then put it on GND of the board?

I have a question which only you might be able to answer - I have a Holybro Kakute, and when I plug in the USB both the power light and the status light light up - but when I plug it into betaflight I can't connect at all?
Did you check your drivers?
@@DroneMesh i did and unfortunately the FC doesnt get recognised as a USB device in Zadig at all.
I was looking to see where you were gonna put capacitors, and you did not put any....
Man love all your vids but i have tell you some... This ESC is piece of art and you hide them like they will be kiss ESC :D. GET SOME TRANSPARENT HEAT SHRINK. I order them after you review and i dont see the LED so sad.

Hi Eric. Yes on the Kakute F4 and F4 v2 the Gyro is already soft mounted. So you really don't need to soft mount it further. You can do it still if you want though...
