    These were some of the exact reasons why I chose Liberia as well. Not to mention the rich history and great food! A lot of work needs to be done there but I beleive there are enough great minds that are up for the task.

    You made a great choice - you'll find that Liberian English is very similar to the U.S Southern way of talking just with a tropical twist.. the past history and relationship between America and Liberia is one that should be taught more in U.S history.. Welcome home brother! 🇱🇷🌴

    Also, the Diaspora do not need to give up citizenships of their birthplaces to participate in local politics, representing Liberia in the international affairs such as United Nations, or even in African Affairs.
    You see, any Black person can come to Liberia and be great or set your children up to be great.
    And yes, Liberia was a great nation and is on it's unstoppable path for greatness once again.
    Although many who participated in the destruction of the country may be saying negative things about the current condition, i would say, he who has eyes for opportunities in time of chaos is one who is wise
    My friend, you are wise.

    Thanks for the inspiration- I agree; Liberia has a lot of potential. Things are progressing gradually for the better, and one lot that sells $ 800 - $ 900 outside Monrovia will cost a lot more in the next few years. As a Liberian myself, I am planning to do the same as you are. Already bought land in few areas. Love the greenery of the country and low cost of living. One part of me hopes it does not get "over developed".

    What struck me most in your commentary is that " Liberia is the ONLY country yhat understands African Americans the most!"

  • @EveryThingAfrique
    @EveryThingAfrique 28 วันที่ผ่านมา

    You've chosen the best African country to live in, despite the outdated mindset of many in Liberia and its history of leaders who lack vision but excel in corruption. Liberians often see themselves as African Americans and have a deep admiration for them. The constitution of Liberia allows African Americans to own land and even be elected to government positions, offering them protection. Liberia’s biggest challenge is its lack of vision, but you’ll find true friends and a welcoming community there. Liberians are a kind-hearted people-they just need more visionary leadership.

    As someone who is an Americo_Liberian, it comes as no surprise to me that you chose Liberia. Liberians are perhaps the most 'American' among Africans from a cultural standpoint. We have the distinction of having been founded by private American citizens who brought with them their cultural and societal norms to the motherland. Liberia was and remains the first independent African republic on the continent. And it remains one of only two nations on the continent that was never colonized by the European colonial powers. Although there was only loose political affiliation with the United States, the friendship and diplomatic ties have been consistent. Also, many Liberians consider Americans - particularly African Americans - like they would a cousin

    Hello there brother, I can tell you have made the right choice. Liberia is about to explode in terms of development and so many aspects. Also, most Liberian are descendants of African-American. Liberia was fully built on African-American platforms. You will be amazed how happy your decision will be in the future. Because at the moment Liberia is still cheaper to do business and buy more Lands. Once everyone starts returning which has started since 2015. Liberia will be very expensive in the nearest future. You the very few makings some wiser choices while Liberian still under discovered by many people.
