    Great question, I've been concerned about all the new pieces on the O-line, especially the amount of nfl experience, or lack there of. I think they'll be great eventually, just worried about growing pains, learning curves. Great work Matt

    You should look into doing a similar segment to DK's j1q. I'd love to have you answer analytical questions some of us have, given your history and expertise in personnel and statistics especially

    Matt - love your channel. I’ve been saying for 20 years, the 11 most important decisions for the Steelers should be the following. 5-OL, 3-DL, 2-CB, 1-QB. Put your money in those positions, you have a strong chance to win.
    That’s why I wanted to trade Watt to rebuild those positions.

    But you have to admit that we were ridiculously lucky to have Frazier still be available at 51

    How much tape did you watch of frazier? He played guard in college but was the leader of the offensive line which is why they moved him to center.

    ‼️🗣 Matt this show is growing on me more and more. I want to know if you believe that TJ can take Joe Greenes place as the greatest Steeler of all time? Play wise,I know what Papa Joe means to this franchise

    Hey Matt great show, is it a wild idea to have James Daniel’s call the protections from the guard spot until ZF shows he’s got a handle on it?

    We're going to have 4 rookies start this season. Fautanu, Frazier and both Wilson's

    You obviously haven’t done your homework on Frazier, he only missed one game with broken leg, he also played one year as a guard at WV. He’s very versatile and very physical, and has fine tuned skills as a centerpiece center.

    • @yurky1
      @yurky1 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ya I agree. Only seemed to read what others have said about him. And is listed at center and not guard because they expect him to play there. And he was moved to center at WV because of his football IQ. He doesn't have the pancakes on tape that others do, but last time I checked we don't get extra points for takedowns. I watched his tape all his games, and he is legit player could play guard at this level, yes he has some limitations as a athlete but wasn't Jason kelce a top 2 center with a lot less athletic ability. Technique could use a little work but also his fellow line wasn't the best, but he did also cover up a lot of mistakes from his guards. And I didn't see a bad snap or to be honest his last 2 years what looked like a bad line call. Barton aside was the best center in the class. Only had 5 games on Barton and that was his freshman year. Johnson was rated as a 4th or 5th rnd pick before the 1 senior bowl practice, and made a massive jump, but didn't play after that. Yes he dominated but then couldn't practice because of a injury. And he wasn't going against what I would call amazing DT. Which was a aweful class. Frazier out of the 10 centers I watched easily was the best, body have the flash plays others did but was just steady eddy.

    Frazier had a 4.0 gpa, a 4.5 gpa, and a 3.88 gpa in college and was selected to the academic all big 12 every year, he played an extremely high college snap count at an extremely high level. Im willing to say he is heady enough to start at center much like pouncey, who played center from day 1 for 10 years.

      I hear ya, but it isn't a matter of being smart...more passing off stunts, reacting very quickly, etc

      @WilliamsonNFL I understand your concerns. I just don't share them, but I do respect them. I just honestly think he is going to do well. From everything I have heard from his coaches, he was the qb of the WVU line he made all the calls and shifts at the line and kept the line on the same page. That on top of a high IQ player, I think he can be better than we even expect 🤞🤞.

    I think the Steelers pick & chose when they decide to insert a rookie from day one Matt and it usually depends on need, not Tomlin's style as people would have us believe. Otherwise, how in the world do you start Kendrick Green from day one and not Broderick Jones??
