Every time I hear Gone Away all I can think about is my sister. I lost her when I was 8, she was 12. She was my rock. I'm 43 now, and this song still pulls on my emotions. Black roses and Hail Marys can't bring back whats taken from me.
Definitely glad they didn't use a ton of the vocal backing tracks and instead brought the songs down a step or half step so he can sing them without killing his voice.. sounds so much better than hearing him strain and catching the backing tracks.
Gone Away with the full band needs to come back. I’m so bummed they didn’t play it when I saw them in October, by far their best song imo. It was cool to see they played it kinda both ways here.

Dexter looks so great with the losing of weight. He is so much more energetic and his singing improved as well. It's almost like I'm 20 years back in time :)

I will say I remember noodles guitar cutting out at least twice and Dexter had to kick in and cover a lead while he got a new guitar. I was at this show so I saw it with my own eyes and ears. Wonder what the issues were. Something wrong with the guitar or wireless system I’m sure.
And the same thing happens at the beginning of Can't Get My Head Around You. Edit: Actually it seems to be Dexter's guitar that's in the wrong tuning, as Noodles and Todd are tuned the same way...
I saw The Offspring in 2016 and enjoyed the performance. It wasn't the best, but I was hyped and it was the festival crowd psychosis. But then I saw the recording of this concert and man it was bad. Dexter was off key for most of the show, the whole band seemed bored, lost a spark. So seeing this makes me excited beyond my limit to describe. Dexter did some vocal training, the whole band kicks ass and they genuinely seem to have a good time again. Seeing them again next week
