I was in shock and aw in a mall watch shop and my awesome wife caught me with my jaw on the floor. She got it for me for my birthday I think four or five years back, simply a piece of beauty.
I've had this watch for 6 years and I can tell you it's a show stopper. It will always keep a smile on your face. It also picks up the radio signal extremely well and I'm on the east coast.
I just pulled the trigger and purchased one on amazon for $399...I could not beat that price! Thanks for the in-depth video, I can not wait to get the watch tomorrow!
I took delivery of one last week. Still working on figuring out the slide rule, but I'll take my time and figure it out. The watch is actually more stunning than in the video.
I was gifted the Blue Angels version of this watch by my company for my tenth year with them. I love it. Looks great and I'm learning new things about it thanks to your video.
I got this watch and also the black one. But some of my favs are actually pretty cheap wood one, skeleton one and some others I didnt pay more than $50 for.
Great review! Speaking from experience with a Red Arrows Skyhawk AT (which has a similar movement), the battery did need replacing after 9 years - they do stop storing the solar charge eventually. Not quite lifetime then, but still better than most. :)
Ma786sai Dua great video. I just bought a NAVIHAWK CC9030-51E. A terrific time piece. I was going to buy this model you have but some how came upon the steel cc9030-51E and THAT was The one I had to have. God bless you with all the time pieces that you adore and cherish in your heart
I have the model in titanium, with sapphire. Lighter. Easier to read black on grey LCD's. Nicer bracelet. Much less blingy... and only a few painted screws! Bit cheaper too.
I have a Navihawk. It is my favorite watch. It does terrify me when it comes to getting it set properly. It's not exactly difficult, but it is time consuming. I'm not a pilot, but it looked so cool I could not resist.
I've had my Navihawk for a couple years now (wear it daily), and I've never noticed that the plaque isn't a real plaque lmao. They really did a good job on that.
I have had the red arrows Titanium vision for 8y now and it is still going strong very little on the wrist also it is the that Attracts peoples attention
Dont let that mineral crystal touch anything... New skyhawk has sapphire, and is the same U680 movement. You're preference though, enjoy it and wear it in good health. That Navi is a good looking watch though. My Skyhawk JY8070 54E arrives in a few days, got it for $522 US from Citizen's website, cant wait.
I have the very same watch and I only wear it for special occasions. And yes those frames around the small gauges are glued on. Ridiculous! Had to take mine to the watch repair shop yesterday cause all the frames are moving all over the dial and damaging my watch hands.
Sort of watch I might have drooled over too in my youth, loving the dashboard at the top. However these days need something legible and simple. If your a pilot I’m sure it all makes perfect sense as will the size. Suffice to say not for me, nice though it is.
Great review once again! This watch as well as the Bulova moon watch are both on my wish list. If you could only pick one, which would you choose? They both look fantastic!
People complain about this watch. I've worn third watch for 3 years with plenty of compliments! I've worked on my vehicles while wearing it and haven't damaged it yet! I have ZERO scratches on the face of the watch and hit it on things many times! The ONLY thing that's difficult about this watch, is reading the LED screens in the dark!
Shame on Citizen for not putting Sapphire Crystal on this beautiful watch. Probably so many people are not buying this watch for that reason. Including me.
I thought this was going to be the original Navihawk, Blue Angels, all pilots i know bought one from Argos, cheapest best pilots watch for price (pilots are tight). Think you might have been looking at that model... Was £130 15 years ago. I have 2 of the above, but compared to earlier, bit chunky, more likely to get damaged.
Great review 👍 While researching this watch (model JY8030) a couple of years ago before buying my own (I got the black version, JY8037), I was surprised to learn that the 'Navihawk' versions were only sold in North America and the UK. In Japan and mainland Europe there are titanium variants with sapphire glass and a positive LCD (including the PMV65-2271/JY8020 model). Citizen now markets the watch as a Promaster Navihawk in North America, but curiously at the time there was no mention of Promaster anywhere (despite the logo on the crown).
I got this and returned it for a skyhawk. The black LCD is almost unreadable unless you are under the most perfect lighting conditions. I opted for one with the traditional grey LCD that is sooooo much easier to read under all lighting conditions.
Titanium version is better ! The electronic display is not bright enough and letters are quite small to read. As any Citizen is very accurate, no maintenance, long life to be expected 20 years very easy in normal condition. I did not test this watch on sea water or shower. If anybody can demonstrate you can swim with this tipe of WR200, I will be very happy!

Nice. I saw that deal but I opted for a used model on eBay for $200. I love it!
Argos and Index catalogues were the internet shopping of their day, haha.
Yes indeed, memories...

This review is SOOOOO much better than that Watchshop channel's review of this watch.
Finally got to buy mine, and your review helped me decide, got mine in black, really love it, fantastic time piece
I've had mine for several years and gotten many compliments primarily from pilot friends.
I was gifted the Blue Angels version of this watch by my company for my tenth year with them. I love it. Looks great and I'm learning new things about it thanks to your video.
Love the design of this watch and it has to become a permanent guest on my wrist. :)

I used to do international all the time and loved the Navihawks. I now have my third one.
I have the blue angels version and I like it very much
Great version 👍
Interesting review. Regards.
Thanks!

I have the Blue Angels edition. Great watch.
Nice
Now I have to get one.
Yes. You must.
Argos and Navihawks. Yes!!. Always wanted one...but never got any further than Casio or Lorus!

Fair enough Mark! Thanks for the comment
Best feature is it is ALWAYS accurate and never needs batteries.
Great review once again! This watch as well as the Bulova moon watch are both on my wish list. If you could only pick one, which would you choose? They both look fantastic!
Thanks! Oooh that’s a tough one indeed! They’re both equally as well made so it’s down to what you prefer in terms of looks and functions.
Both, they're not expensive.
Just bought a Lunar Pilot on a bracelet and its stunning! The dial is so crisp it's awesome...
What is the lug width on this watch? Seems like there is a lot of conflicting online about whether it’s 22 or 23mm.

the mesh strap looks good on it. not much on the night hawk.
Shame on Citizen for not putting Sapphire Crystal on this beautiful watch. Probably so many people are not buying this watch for that reason. Including me.
....And for not telling day of week
@@MadMax-qy8gg it tells the day
But to busy for me I was prob looking in the starwars selection
Haha fair enough! I had an awesome A wing toy from Argos. My favourite Star Ward ship 🤩

At that price must be the Titanium. 2 i bought about £300.
I've worn this watch for 3 years. I work on my vehicles with it on... it hasn't been damaged not once!

True
Can the bracelet be changed to leather?
Yes.
They use a mineral crystal so in 5 years time they can bring out the Sapphire edition, and make you buy it all over again.
Mineral is fine, the watch "community" has most believing you need it. You don't.
I ordered this watch a few minutes ago and now I’m wondering if anyone makes a glass protector for the crystal?
If it breaks you can get it repaired, pay a few bucks extra and have them put a saphire crystal on it
Is it chinese? Crystal glass?
Hi there, just sent you an email my friend. By the way, I LOVE your videos! Keep it up!
Thank you!

Stunning watch. Unfortunately too big for me.
The channel called watchshop copied your review, in some cases word for word
It’s the same person.
Minaral Cristal cheep qulitiy??????
....but it doesn't tell day of week!
It does tell the day of the week, it’s in the right hand digital display
you tube trolls you with 360p :D
Haha you must have watches it before the higher resolutions were available!
10+
tengo uno igual y es excelente reloj...
This watch alone is the reason why I am not going to buy a smart watch. Period.
