      His store actually pays higher than most video games store if you go back to his previous video he did offer to pay 60 % price charting value. I assume some viewers complain in the comments that he was either undercutting or buying for to much or what ever and his no longer wanted to disclose the value he paid.

    Now that I realize your shop is in Conway, Arkansas, I may need to make a trip back that way. I stopped in Conway on the way to Amarillo, TX. I am from Fayetteville, NC. I stopped in Conway for the night to stay and make the rest of the trip the next day and I actually loved it there. It kind of reminded me of Fayetteville. I went to a vape shop real quick and scoped a bit of the area and said I would definitely come back if I had a chance. Now I have a reason to come back and check out the store. Love the videos and all the stuff you have in stock. I'm gonna have to have a good amount of cash and pick up a few items. Keep keeping on Retro Rick.

      Really depends on the situation. Selling things on ebay takes significantly more time. Sometimes the loss that they eat by selling it to a game store is made back by not spending all that time selling it themselves.

    • @Jbones636
      @Jbones636 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Cris Yes ebay takes time and effort, but going to a game store you are gonna get 50% or so trade in value, if you go cash even less than that. So if you are willing to take the loss already makes more sense to just price chart everything, then post the lot on Facebook for like 75 percent the value or less and someone will pick it up super fast.

    • @angrybirdbob2881
      @angrybirdbob2881 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Jbones636yeah and a lot of people do, but not everyone really wants to. Some people want quick cash without work. Having 100 videogames to look up on price charting can take time, some people just don’t like the hassle. People do how they please yaknow 🤷‍♂️

    You probably can't answer this and I hope it doesn't come across as rude but with a store full of stuff, I don't understand how you can afford to buy complete collections. I guess because everything you sell you make profit but I've always wondered if stores like this are loaded with debt. It kinda reminds me of taking out huge student loan debt in hopes that you can make enough money one day to pay them off. It just stresses me out seeing these clips on your channel and others because I hope you are making a healthy profit.

    The price of retro gaming is becoming so ridiculous that more and more people are selling off their collections and that’s why all the retro shops have such good stock….ten years ago the same shops had nothing. Ultimately it’ll implode on itself and retro stuff will drop in price significantly.

      Price charting has all the prices people pay for video games it the most accurate way of findinga games value. Retro rick used it a lot so what ever a game is worth he will most likely offer 60% of it value but not too sure a filler games though I assume a lot less as it slow to move and few people want it.

      This brings me back, because - and you know by now but you'll feel it more over time - the first console we buy with our own money stays in our heart and mind forever.
      In my case it was during the summer of 1997 from my very first partial-time job (summer job during vacation, high school years); worked to buy myself the PlayStation.
      It's not _the_ first console I ever had (for me it was the NES, in December 1991) but the first PlayStation is the first console I bought myself. The feeling was incredible knowing I had 'earned' it myself. I don't have my original unit anymore, but I did buy a very mint condition PS1 2 years ago on eBay and it is immaculate and clean, loved it.
      You'll remember your GameCube experience forever, it just sticks with us.

    Hey rick, any interest in some modded dreamcasts for the store? I have a few just sitting that i was selling on eBay for 350 with a 64gb sd card formatted correctly. but got a strike and can't risk my account. Selling modded consoles on ebay is frowned upon, apparently. If interested, let me know. i can do 500 for just 2 modeed consoles and sd cards, and you can throw a controller and cords in for 350-400 each. I also do av modded atari 2600, 7800 and 5200s

    I guy GC stuff at yard sales and just resell them online. I pay $1 for each game at the most.
