Thank you Stephen! That's very kind of you. Yes, I am quite selective on what parts of the Delectable Duchy that I cover, especially because of ease of getting there and (relative) quiteness. I do hope to do St. Catherine's Castle nearby at a future point. Cheers, Paul 🙂👍
Oh gosh, yes, Cathy! I thought the bus driver was amazing! I find driving very stressful these days - try to use the train and/or bus where I can. Glad you enjoyed the video 🙂 Cheers, Paul 👍
Thank you Stephen and Yhana! Glad you enjoyed the video ☺️. Yes, it is a lovely little town - very picturesque and a photographers dream 📷. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍 Cheers Paul
Oh lovely! I have never been to Fowey! It looks gorgeous! The.bus journey sounds a very reasonable price too compared to parking. Really enjoyed this video!
Thank you Louise! You can get a through train to Par from Taunton, and the bus journey takes about 15 minutes. Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers, Paul.
Hello Paul - greetings from Poland. How lovely to be back in Cornwall and in Fowey too. It looks to be a busy little place - I hope the crowds weren't too much for you. What a superb tour around the town. Very interesting information about the china clay industry and its connection with the port of Fowey. The shots of the ferries and across to Polruan were wonderful. Beautiful gardens with very impressive views across the estuary. And once again you spoil us with your gorgeous still photographs. A beautiful video, superb camera work and an excellent commentary. Thanks so much. Stay safe please
Thank you Michael - glad you liked the photographs at the end. The town is a photographers (and painters) dream - the light, similar to St. Ives, has a special clear quality to it. Thanks for your kind comments. Take care, Paul.
Was there just at the beginning of the month, Paul. Really nice place. Bodinnick car ferry was £2.20 for pedestrians and very regular crossings, almost to and fro without pause. There is a rough ground car park within easy walking distance of the ferry (and town) - £1 per hour. I believe the main town car park was free in the evenings (after 6). Did you get your ice cream from “Game of Cones”? Funny pun; good ice creams though - up near the Bodinnick ferry end of town.
Thank you Ian! Yes, it is a lovely spot - think they should make the town centre car free during the day time. Yes, you can use the Bodinnick Car Ferry on foot too - sadly I didn't have time this time to do either - maybe another time. Thanks again, take care, Paul 👍🙂
Thank you Faith! Fowey is one of my very favourite Cornish towns, but it does get quite busy in the summer and on bank holidays. Probably at its best on a rare sunny day in January. Cheers, Paul.
Thank you Cara! Yes, I prefer to use the train whenever possible - but, of course, it isn't always. I am very fortunate to live within walking distance of a mainline station. Yes West Wiltshire isn't too bad for trains, but North and Mid Wiltshire is a bit of a railway desert. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍 Cheers Paul 🙂
What have you done to me Paul, I'm now aching to get back down to Cornwall. We love it there, second home. Film up to the standard we have become accustomed to. Thank you. Ron
Thank you Ron! Sorry I have stirred Cornish memories for you! It was only a quick day trip, would have liked longer, but accomodation is now very expensive in Cornwall. Still, it was good to see Fowey again - I love the town. Take care, Paul 🙂👍
Like Daphne De Maurier I'm very much a fan of this forgotten corner of the Duchy as I'm also a fan of your accompanying soundtrack's 🎵 well selected 👍

Thank you Paul. Very charming. Good that you came by train and bus in those narrow roads.
