Aww cheers Andy, it was lovely to meet you. Don't be a stranger! We would've stayed longer but we needed to get back home and get warmed up from our cold dip! 🥶
Fantastic video. Absolutely love Fowey. I regularly drive the bus from St Austell to Fowey, and always stop on Hanson Drive to take a photo, especially at 6am on the early run. 🙂
Thanks Altitude Aerial 🙏🏼 I used to drive trucks in Australia and often I was up super early catching the sunrise and having the most amazing scenery all to myself! Good stuff 🙌🏼
Just visited Fowey and this is a spot on video introduction to this beautiful place. So many interesting shops and views of the river and estuary, well done, if you are in the area don't miss out on a visit here. The two pound charge for the bus back to the main car park is well worth it as it goes to parts you may have missed.
Your vlog not only served as a virtual tour guide but also ignited a sense of pride and admiration for the city. The way you highlighted its unique features and shared interesting anecdotes made me fall in love with it all over again.❤❤
Earth, our mother, embraces us all, nurturing not only 8 billion souls but also the very parents who brought us into existence. Your exploration and dialogue on this topic is truly commendable, for it highlights the incredible significance of the planet that sustains us all. Keep up the great work!☺️☺️😍
Fowey is a beautiful place and lovely to visit - your video captured it on a quiet, empty day, and this is generally not typical - I would strongly recommend not to visit Fowey on any UK school holidays as you will regret it unless you like you holiday destinations completely packed and overrun with lots of stressed tourists in a similar vein (albeit much smaller) to Barcelona, Venice and Santorini etc , definitely go in the shoulder seasons - Fowey is very much a victim of its own success, in many ways like most of Cornwall which is now completely overrun in the peak UK holiday season - it must be a total nightmare if you're a local person, notwithstanding that very few local people can even think about owning their home or indeed renting as most property is owned by second home owners or rented out for pricey holiday lets, sorry gone down a bit of a rabbit hole there - lovely video
Thanks for the comments Richard, I think you've touched on some very important points there and I thank you for bringing it up! Many destinations around the world are dealing with overtourism now, Amsterdam has a stay away campaign, Mykonos is similar and Cornwall locals are definitely near the end of their tether when it comes to tourist shenanigans! We need to find a way to manage the tourist population and ensure that we don't strain our environment and resources in the name of making a quick quid.
@@cjexploresYour quaint shops are not popular with the long-standing residents. Many of those miss the ‘real’ shops that were an important part of Fowey until recently. I grew up and went to school in Fowey but now have no incentive to visit, it’s not the genuine town it once was.
We have decided to separate the two subjects and have a sole travel page as well as another channel dedicated to being vegan and travelling youtube.com/@veganexplores ❤️🙏🏼❤️
Beautiful video! In love with how cute and charming Fowey is. Thanks for sharing! Definitely adding this to the list. 👍

a small suggestion,, it would nice to see a shot of a map of where you are in the beginning, for us not familiar with that part of the world.
Thanks Van, I’m sure we included one in the intro!!
