If you would like the hands-on experience, John recommends purchasing at least two pounds of Guittard Old Dutch. But, feel free to simply watch the master from the comfort of your couch!
Many of you remember John from his time as an Aggie basketball player from 2002 through 2005. His senior year at USU, John played on the Big West Conference Champions squad, coached by Stew Morrill
John stayed in Cache Valley after graduating and is well-known throughout the valley, having assisted many Aggies and other locals to fulfill their home-ownership dreams. By day, John is a mortgage loan officer at Bank of Utah.
John grew up in the Bay Area of California with a chocolatier mother. For the first 18 years of his life, he witnessed the buzz that was created every Christmas time by the chocolates that his mom delivered to neighbors, friends, and, family. John finally realized that he had too many character flaws to make any real friends, so he called his mom to learn the family chocolate secrets. That call was the turning point for John toward what has developed into a passion for chocolate and ever since he has been dedicated to learning and improving his chocolatier skills. In 2017 he graduated from the EcoleChocolat Professional Chocolatier Program, and continues to hone and share his skills.
