Sorry about the Lyme disease. Take care of yourself. Congratulations on the house purchase and thanks for the update. I really enjoy your content. Thanks for taking the time to film, edit, and post.
Glad to see you're doing well, friend! Congrats on the new home - thank you for your consistent efforts to show your work to the public! I'm doing my due diligence for an upcoming foam mini-van build and going back through the building system videos. Keep on rocking, you're definitely a light in this world! Wishing you and your family the best of health and happiness in your new mission in New England!
So happy to see you have found a place in Vermont. We were going to try to get to New England this year but didn’t make it. Now it’s on our list for 2024. Hope we get to see you two when we get there. Merry Christmas from Casey, Donna and Frankie!
Thank you for teaching me about foam bones. I plan on using the method on my build. We plan on ending up in Vermont too. I'm so sorry about the Lyme Disease. It's something we don't think about but, again, your videos are so helpful. Hugs, and thanks.
05/05/202455 Hello Nomad. Just to say hello. I enjoyed your build and trip. I was just looking over my subscribed channel and remembered you. Stay safe and happy inn your new home. Don
12/31/2023 Hello Nomad. Sounds like a great trip. I hope you have had a great year and best wishes for the Next Year. I hope you have a happy holiday but ... Remember alcohol hurts in the morning after. I have learned this by trial and error. Stay Safe and warm. Sincerely Don
Thanks for the new video! Other than the lyme disease, you guys are living my dream life. Hope you're feeling better. I can't wait to get started on my own amazing journey!
👍 Nomaaaaaad wudup, so glad you're getting over that damn Lyme Disease! That was some trip you guy's went on. I saw you made it to that fern canyon, nice man. I pussed out and went ahead and bought an 06 Winnebago view with the straight 5 Mercedes engine (pre DEF). I wanted to do a lightweight build as you did but it just seemed too daunting once I started doing the ordering list and imagining how long it would take me to accomplish. Take your time on the vids, you take care of you and your lovely wife bro, we're not going anywhere.
Nice shop; get a heavy duty industrial sander. Varnish that floor three or more layers...itll look sweet. Get well sir & sending you positive thoughts!
Thanks for the update and I'll take Lyme disease versus COVID anytime, really hope you get better fast, love the videos and looking forward to the new videos and chat sessions, congrats on the new shop. Give the furbabies a hug for us, thanks again
Nomad, I just found your channel. A lot of great information. I'm in Massachusetts and wanted to welcome you to the East Coast. I am building a foamie camper and was wondering if you think that 1" foam sandwiched between 5mm underlayment would be strong enough for the body? I am going to use finger joints and then PMF over the whole thing.
I understand that you rebuilding your new home might not count as "NOMAD" content, but I would be very interested. Or else just more videos about the van. Or else just links to your github/wiki/blog/whatever is easiest for you to update. I feel like you're the modern incarnation of the Nomad Furniture book (Hennessey and Papanek).
Your content is amazing. I'm going to use it to plan o DIY truck camper shell for our Great Danes. Its going to need some electric ventilation, sliding windows, probably a bed liner exterior paint, and possibly some reflective heat deflecting material on the top. Any suggestions?
Limes disease, what a horrible thing to get ...hope you feel better soon. Long time travels around your side of the world ,looks interesting. 🏴🏴
Hi do you think your foam bones method as it is or with some modification could be used to frame and build a slide in truck camper? Steve(68yrs) Manitoba Canada
I'd be really keen to hear your thoughts on external materials. I'm planning a housetruck build on a flatbed, there will be some elements of steel frame to support an upper area but for the walls mostly I'm just thinking foam. I'm unsure whether to fiberglass the outside, glue aluminium sheet to the foam or make a more complete steel frame and bolt aluminium to panels to that. I appreciate your expertise seems more in internal structures but if you do have any comment I'd be glad to hear it.
I watched a Mr Ballen video where a lady with Lyme disease got stung by a bunch of killer bees and it cured the Lyme disease. Did the doc stick you in a room and unleash a swarm on ya?
Your jugular vein looks really distended. It’s usually a result of very serious and life threatening circulatory problems, such as heart failure. I hope you’re OK. I hope this is a stupid internet diagnosis. I felt I should say something though.

Can you just paint the foam? I like your idea since it is easy to cut
Thanks for sharing your experience and knowledge. I hope you all are doing well.

That's quite the journey and to get Lyme disease too. How did the Transit perform ie engine, transmission, fuel mileage, etc?

Hey man, I’ve only kind of just discovered you. Anyway, I did a double take I’m a Vermonter -Bristol. Welcome!
Ahhhhh… thanks!!! All the Vermonters we’ve met have been soooo welcoming!!!
I’d like to include myself in that! Sounds like there are F 22 fighter’s in the background…
That’s a Vermont air National Guard out of BTV that I’m referring to. Maybe I’m wrong though.
Nømad- Love it!really amazing , 😉
Thanks!!
Hey, how are you settling in? Happy new year!
There is so much tech and substances can help with Lyme
Which website did you use to track the stopping points?
It’s called RoadTrippers… it’s good for planning and recording but NOT good for turn by turn directions.
Congratulations on the epic adventure and the new home! (What app is that map?)
Make sure to be triple proactive on the Lyme's disease. Lifetime illness of it can have horrific if not stopped early.
So far so good!
