    My grandma used to make us practice walking while carrying a book on our head. She also used to tell us, When you walk alone, your facial expression and body language should say " I have a secret"!

    I'd say another important aspect is having shoes that properly fit. Not only does it look more elegant, but if a person has shoes that do not fit well, whether it causes discomfort, there is concern the shoe may come off, etc. then most people would be putting a good deal of focus on that, which can result in their walk being more awkward opposed to elegant & effortless.

    • @tinalettieri

    1. How to walk up the stairs elegantly in heels;
    2. How to walk down the stairs elegantly in heels (without sounding like an heavy animal in heels);
    3. How not to get your heel stuck in escalators and cracks on the ground; and
    4. How to elegantly “get your heel out” if stuck?

    Equestrian horse riding growing up taught me to be aware of my body and posture. The teachers would tell us in order to win in a horse show "your shoulder blades should be touching in the back, back of head, shoulder's, hips and heels should be a straight line sitting on a horse and you should be aware of your face... smiles and confidence are always judge's favorites.
    I don't think she can stress how important this is!!! I once had a very wealthy man tell me that when I walked into the room, there was something about my walk and smile that demanded attention.

    Why is it so important for women to attract attention from men when they enter a room? The attention they will receive is the wrong type of attention but such a woman doesn't care for the simple reason that she has issues with her self-esteem. No woman should seek validation/attention from a man by walking with a confident gait. She should be naturally confident and carry herself well for herself, her self-respect and her dignity.

    Great video. I'd like to also add the top two tips i got about the elegant walk:
    1- Imagine your shoulders being pulled back along with your head with a string attacked to a balloon that pulls you up and almost lifts you, hence there's less weight on your feel so they can slide smoothly while maintaining a good posture. The best walk is when you look like you're elegantly floating through air so this really helps.
    2- While walking, keep you legs as straight as possible. Of course they'll naturally bend a little when you walk, but in your mind try to keep of the knee areas from bending to maintain straight legs. This makes a BIG difference

    I totally agree with you Anna! Walk is really important because during my diploma days, i joined modeling and as i become senior, i teach the others how to walk. There are different walk depends on what u wear and how u want to present yourself. I also watch tons of video and practice a lot to get used walking with heels. I still learning how to walk elegantly and present myself elegantly (i learn this since i was kid because i'm so passionate in modeling). And it's true that we can fake confidence because sometimes i did that but people still believe i'm confident😂
    I hope i can join your next class because i really want to learn it so bad😊❤
