Tidbit correction. Puerto Ricans can travel to and from mainland USA without a passport. We only need a US passport as any American citizen would to travel outside of the USA.

Hi, just wanted to let you know that Puerto Ricans do not need a US passport to travel to the US. As far as voting in a presidential election they can vote if they live in the US. But yes if they live in Puerto Rico, then they can’t vote. Love your channel so I just wanted to give you heads up on the information you gave. I enforce immigration laws so that’s how I know 😂

5:52 correction. There's no Puerto Rico passport. Puerto Rican are USA citizens and carry USA passport. There's no passport control/immigration between Puerto Rico and the US mainland, so a passport is not needed to travel between Puerto Rico and the US.

IMofongo was created in Puerto Rico, Dominicans in Puerto Rico and New York learn and introduced in Dominican Republic where is now part of their cousin.
The earliest known written recipes for mofongo appeared in Puerto Rico's first cookbook, El Cocinero Puerto-Riqueño o Formulario, in 1859. The title of the recipe is mofongo criollo. Green plantains are cleaned with lemon, boiled with veal and hen, then mashed with garlic, oregano, ají dulce, bacon or lard, and ham. It is then formed into a ball and eaten with the broth in which it was cooked.

    WRONG!
We DO NOT need a passport to travel to the mainland.
Since Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory, flights between the island and the mainland are considered domestic. We just need a valid government-issued photo ID, like a driver’s license, for TSA screening.

Mofongo is made of green plantains , fried and mashed with garlic a bacon. It’s a puertorrican dish , a very old puertorrican dish. Dates from early 19th century. Mangu is a RD dish, made of boiled green plantains. Oh, we don’t need a passport to go to the USA, just a valid I’d card.
This time of year, north shore beaches are very risky, due to undercurrents . South coast beaches are safer. You’ll love the Caribbean Sea.

I lived in San Juan for 3 years and absolutely loved the lifestyle. You all captured some amazing footage that instantly had me missing it! Just a heads-up, though-La Perla isn’t a little town; it’s a neighborhood in Old San Juan that's beautiful during the day but known for gang and drug activity at night. Definitely a spot with a lot of character, but not without its risks

This 👆🏽. Im puertorican and have never bothered going down to La Perla. Still don’t se the draw quite honestly. Even during the day can be dangerous. But if you must go, know what you’re getting yourself into. People (often tourists) have been killed for taking pictures, for example. So you should know you can’t be taking photos/vids down there. Since 1917, (107 years) Puerto Ricans have the same Rights as any other Americans when our residence is in the Main land, and Any Main land Americans that move to Puerto Rico have the same rights any Puerto Ricans living in the Island. In other words we all have the same rights. If you were born in Colorado and move to Puerto Rico meaning your residence is now Puerto Rico you Can't vote for the President just like any other Puerto Ricans living in the island. Most North Americans don't know this because we are seen by many like any other hispanic speaking country or maybe just because we don't have the same skin color, it won't surprise me if some North Americans don't even know Hawaiian people are as Americans as any other Americans are. If Puerto Rico was Mexico there was no border it would have been like driving to Washington DC except People living in Washington DC can vote for the President., to put it into perspective I don't know if I can make it more clear

We can travel to the United States with an ID or driver's license. If we are going to travel outside the United States then we do need a passport.👍🇵🇷
P.S.: Remember if you see a Puerto Rican using the passport to travel to the United States it is because the passport is also considered an identification and for that reason they use it but they do not stamp it as they do on international flights they only verify it as identification of the person . 😊

I am an avid watcher of OWT and I am just going to ask this because of what I am seeing and noticing...... By all of the different camera angles and the hiding of Olivia's mid section with a purse and always of her walking away camera shots, are we expecting??????... Just curious..... Love the channel and always watching here in Michigan...

Voting rights are tied to where you reside. Even you would lose the right to vote for the president, senators, and representatives if you moved to Puerto Rico. As for the ID requirements for traveling, there is no difference between a Puerto Rican living on the island and an American living on the mainland.

  • @JenuelGonzalez

Puertoricans don't need a passport to travel to the mainland. We can move freely just like any other US citizen.
