@@jamieolberding7731 Hi Jamie, sorry for the very delayed reply! We had an indoor shoot lasting 8 days, then an outdoor shoot lasting 5 days, then finally 1 day to shoot our water miniature. So it was 14 days shooting the miniatures in total!
@@AndrewJMuir That's alright, your apology is accepted. And also, thank you for telling me about the shooting. Will you guys one day be doing any more World War 1 or World War 2 short flims featuring more amazing Dogfights or even Tank Battles too? Just in case you didn't know, I'm actually from the United States of America.
Incredible quality, better than many high budget movies, also as a modeler congratulations for the quality of the models (painting weathering etc.) and for the choreography of the shots
I hope you get to make a follow up film to this, though you really do need to find someone who can "loan" a Spitfire or a Hurricane for a scene, a real one, THAT would be so cool
Hey guys, could you tell me how did you add the propellers? Is it a 3d model or just a video layer? I am shooting a 2ww dogfight on miniatures but still didn't figure out the best way to shoot this detail;)
Our sound designer, Jay Price, did all of the audio for the film. Unfortunately we don't have a dedicated video documenting the process, just the section shown in the Making Of documentry.
@@turningtide6578 Thanks for replying. I ended up writing you a message through your website about contacting him. You guys did an amazing job there! Loved it!

Now we know how the original 3 Star Wars movies were made.
This is so cool, young me would have been so inspired
Old you isn't?
@@briost123 well no, I'm not into making short films anymore but they are still cool. I use to spend all my spare time making them.
@@CeinX Ooh that's awesome that you did!

Goes to show how good practical FX can be even when without a $100 000 000 budget
The framerate, the color, the speed, the effects, the models, the compositing, just... OMGG WOW!!

where do you get a rig like that for moving the plane? did you build it?

Awesome!
Very cool! I've always had a huge soft spot for Practical Effects. Great work
Wow
Why did you use red backdrops
Awesome!!!! Fantastic work and great breakdown also!
Wonderful!! ❤❤❤
Great work! Those models were gorgeous!
Freaking awesome! LOVE the practical and digital combo done right!
That's what's called lovingly made. Congratulations.

Love it. Great work. Look forward to checking out the full film.
They should get you guys to do an adaptation of 'The Machine Gunners'.
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Bravo!!!
SERIOUSLY DUDEs! This is better than some of the crap Hollywood turns out!! Nice job!!
This is just insaaaaane!
The models look amazing, although it looks more like a WW1 air battle than a WW2 one. Those planes seem too slow and wobble around too much.
Me too I've been on my movie for 12 years
They should use remote planes
How did you do the ww2 planes audio for the dogfight scenes? Do you have a behind the scenes video for that?
Our sound designer, Jay Price, did all of the audio for the film. Unfortunately we don't have a dedicated video documenting the process, just the section shown in the Making Of documentry.
