As a (former) SFX/VFX artist I would've done the warehouse shot completely in 3D. Quick to model and to give loads of detail in the front and animate the doors is trivial.
The launch pad is something that makes miniatures (unless you have a Saturn V rocket detailed 3D model) very realistic and cool. I love prop making, especially painting so much more than 3D modelling.

Man I love seeing this kind of stuff. In an age of massive budget, bland, over stylised empty Hollywood block busters, and the over reliance on CGI, it’s so cool to see there are still some real craftsmen doing this kind of work.
I love seeing the use of ‘hands on’ crafting skills to achieve these kinds of works. I definitely appreciate CGI, and it is certainly necessary, but I don’t like how it’s just become the norm and everything else like the use of miniatures has mostly fallen out of the picture (pardon the pun). Digital and practical should always compliment each other I believe.
    Fantastic work!
