    Oh wow, this was such a well made video. Its nice to learn the history of bodybuilding as an outsider with barely any knowledge

    Great list, imo ‘93 changed everything and the sport has NEVER been the same sadly.

      @@daveyadict_ flex looked better but dorian was superior in more mandatory poses. mainly due to his wide lats. and flex never took his dieting seriously for olympias, so dorian had condtioning edge too

      The problem is how do we define that "flex looked better"? Its completely subjective thus there is no way to objectively measure it. Dorian's work ethic was designed to adhere to the the judging criteria as much as possible i.e. size, conditioning, symmetry, posing, presentation etc. No one else did it better than Yates thus the reason why he was virtually unbeatable.

    8:47 that quad stomp may be the MOST iconic bodybuilding shot ever

    • @JakeUltimateFitness
      @JakeUltimateFitness  13 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      I’d agree, easily the most memorable shot in Olympia history.

    Great list! New mic sounds great. Love the inculsion of the '99 GBP, I totally agree one of my favorite shows ever. The one show I would include would be '03 Olympia, as in retrospect Ronnie showed us what most fans consider the greatest BB physique of all time.

    • @JakeUltimateFitness
      @JakeUltimateFitness  11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I was thinking of including it, however I didn’t really know what to talk about for it. It didn’t really change anything-sure, Ronnie was big and had the best physique ever at that show, but it didn’t really change things or set a new precedence in the sport. I do agree though, it’s certainly one of the best shows ever and is up there with my favorites

    As great as Flex was, he never dialed in his legs from the rear. His glutes and hamstrings always looked so soft.

    How did you leave out 1981 that was even more controversial than 1980

    • @JakeUltimateFitness

    Flex wasn’t the pinnacle of symmetry. His abdominals were not symmetrical and unfortunately that could not be changed, never understood this notion that he was the most symmetrical bodybuilder, not to mention the synthol use. Bob Paris is a much better example of perfect symmetry.

    • @JakeUltimateFitness
      @JakeUltimateFitness  11 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      People use symmetry interchangeably with proportion which is incorrect, but that’s how the name came about
