Thank you for your videos! I adopted a puppy from the county shelter and it turns out he's a cane curso. At the pound they told me he's a pug mix. When I took him to the vet they said he's a Cane Curso and is very young 5-6 weeks old. I had never heard of this breed before and have been looking for guidance with raising him. Right now he's recovering from a nasty kennel cough and is sickly. He's settling in and is already showing high intelligence and is extremely sweet. I'm looking forward to training him once he's healthy. We named him Luca.
Great information thank you. My Bella is six months old and doing great with commands. She was fearless but recently she’s been jumpy about cars passing, people voices in the neighborhood and squirrels 😂. The part of the video about socialization really addressed my concerns because I’m not a dog park or out and about person thanks.
I have a 6 month old Cane Corso and his name is Duke also. What I has learned is you need to be consistent with all of his training. Your videos are very helpful. Continue to provide content it helps a lot.
We took our little guy to a flea market it was crowded but a very good mix of people kids and he was in his crate in a wagon we pulled around. ❤. It was a nice day. We gave the breeders a blanket the day before we picked him up and then he had a piece of his home when we brought him to our home. He was partially potty trained when we got him. They are so smart. Easy to train. ❤ we had two rescues before this that had passed. We love this breed. I will not have another breed. They are the most loyal, intelligent , but you must respect and be the leader.
hello, i got my cane corso and 6 week old, breeder wanted em away from mom that early, so training is going, she has had a few accidents in the house which im not worried about but she has also lets out a whimper when she needs to go, so she has que'd us to when she needs to go. still working on alot, but she is so smart i cant belive how quick she is learning at her age.
Yes. I everything discussed should be continued throughout the life of your Corso. Just be consistent and put in the work. Thank you for supporting our channel! 🐾❤️

I’m glad that you posted this video. I plan to purchase two puppies. I’m really excited but the more knowledgeable. I am the better dog mom I will be. 🌹🌹💙💙🐶🐶🐶
Thank you for breaking it down to the ABC's. A lot of what you taught reaffirmed what I was doing and a lot of what I needed to know that I didn't. One of my downfalls was crate time . . . oh well, she's still doing great but I see hiw it would have helped.
This was a fantastic video with alot of good content. feeding manners was specifically an area that I had not thought over as I gear up to purchase my first Cane Corso but a wonderful chance to get quality training in. Thank you and look forward to more content.
About your potty training, advice, I have to tell you my French bulldog I honestly can’t remember having any potty issues ever. My husband and I constructed a puppy apartment for her with a tarp underneath for our living room, it also had her wire kennel attached to it where she would eat and drink, And I don’t remember her ever not only in the puppy apartment but definitely not in our house because she didn’t have access to it. I feel like if puppies are able to roam around the house of course they’re going to find a spot to potty in that you can’t see. They may even do it right in front of you while you’re watching them. This is why we decided to do a large puppy apartment for our Frenchie when she was little. It worked amazingly.

Love this video! Very well done. Subscribed. Just got my Corso a couple of days ago. We're already working with him on a couple of these, but a couple of tips we will implement in our training of him.
Beautiful dog. I hear they are great big babies that like to cuddle up to their people. However they can go from snuggle bear to grizzly bear when a stranger comes around. If I had some land I'd love to have a couple of those.
You missed the first most important thing.. pre set up your home before bringing them home..set yourself up for less stress, make areas safe and secure for a puppy.. they will chew on everything.. cords, bark, the furniture.. ect. You may want to pre install a dog door for easy potty training?
No, you have to let your home exactly how it is, in order to teach him what he can and what he can’t do, of course when your out now you should remove all the dangerous items
@@poosingalexandre4813 I understand your train of thought, but let’s be honest.. Most of us can not watch them 100% of the time perfectly.. I’m talking from experience.. Gee! You are so through in your tutorial. I am very interested in buying a puppy and am gathering all of the information that I can get. I have subscribed to your channel and will be checking out all of your videos. Thank you.
Really helpful v video, thanks! Did you ever neuter Duke? We have a 9 week old boy and vet recommended neutering at around 18 months or about full grown.

Just got a Cane Corso puppy. He is 8 weeks. And im amazed at his intelligence and demeanor. I have a question. I want to take him out with us. To socialize him. But i worried about parvo. When it comes to stores. How likely can parvo be transferred from shoes?
You know what my cane corso is smart. I took him outside to potty and he peed but no bm so he went in the cage and did it and I wasn't mad. So I have the dog on a long chain so he can't go in all the places I didn't want so I put paper down for accidents that puppy went on that paper and had a bm. I'm like what this literally blew my mind. He's only 4 months and I had him for 4 days. I taught him to sit kept giving him treats and he sits. This dog is everything ❤️ Ok negative side he crys in the cage sometimes and loves to jump on you all the time and when you move, he moves but crys after everyone in my house when they leave. That's my story😅.
New to your channel and i am interested in getting a cane Corso my question is how soon should there ears be clipped and the cost as well? Great information by the way i been definitely putting myself on all the info.
Great advise ! I m a new cane corso owner . They are a magnificent breed but very challenging. I was wondering how long do I have to have the long leash in the house ? Mine is 5 months and still needs it otherwise he will get into all kinds of mischief .
Any advice on a female corso 9 weeks, she potty’s outside, but when she has to take a leak, she pees inside, i used those cleaners that removed the stain, but sometimes she’ll pee outside and pee a little then pees a lot more inside, she has no medical conditions as well and is healthy and tips?
Great video, I got this cane curso at 6 months old , going to a week in my house, she won’t eat when I’m around her? She will alway want to run to hide even when I try to take her for walk she will not Move . I literally carry her to bath and when she hear sound she will also run to hide . What should I do .
I did some pet sitting with my nephew corso who was 2 years old and now I am considering owning one myself but I was told they are expensive to purchase. Is it better to try to find one in a shelter and if so what is the right age to get one from the shelter? If not do you know of any good breeders? I stay in Nevada do you have any here?
Question about Potty training you mentioned that every 30 minutes what if you at work and you don't have those 30 minutes all the time No what. Please explain
Yes, but only if you have the time and resources available to work with her every day. You have to plan and be prepared for an adjustment period. That requires patience. At 9 months she is big and strong and used to a certain way of doing things. If you’re confident you can handle that, then yes. If not, you should let her go to someone who can handle that situation. 🐾❤️
Deff gonna need a bed that size and prob more than one cuz the first one is getting chewed up 🤷♂️ u Les you crate em which I don’t cuz he’s too big for the crate 🤷♂️
I do have another question now, what if you get a puppy from a pet store? Those puppies have already been almost conditioned to go to the bathroom in their “kennel“.
I have a 4 month old corso puppy and I missed that window of socialization, now he barks at people before they approach him, I am very worried that no matter how much I expose him to people he will remain too defensive, if that is the case I won’t be able to keep him.
Socialization still has to happen for the remainder of their life. Just continue to work at it and get him exposure. You have to know your dog and control those situations and interactions. Muzzle training him may be a good thing for you to do also. Just in case, to put you and others at ease. Just dont get one from maximo kennels out of California. I ordered mine and max said it was 5 weeks old, couple days later after i paid, he said hes ready next week. Dog looked anorexic and he had two different types of e coli. Max took the puppy back and told me i would get a refund, but he has snubbed me
No you don’t have to. I don’t feed Duke raw. Here is a video about what I feed him. What I Feed My 145 Pound Cane Corso th-cam.com/video/OiS1b05Q5SA/w-d-xo.html
Cane Corso not definitely not for the average person. My neighbor has one and when I first saw her as a pup, she didn't really look like a Corso. She's the neighborhood sweetheart and isn't your typical Corso. But my female GSD does NOT like her at all.
This is not a pure bread corso. This came from somebody who mixed an italian dannif back into a female corso, and then here are the results. All the pups from that liter won't look like this... Only a few. Certain pups take different characteristics from their parents. You can always tell by the ears. But once you do a DNA test on the litter, everyone comes back with different results. Some have more than 65% cane Corso, which makes them Corso. And the others don't have as much, they have more great dane. Beautiful dog, but i wonder if we're doing the right thing in America for the breed. Or are we tainting the blood and giving it more health problems... I currently have a Cane Corso and also a Great Dane, and this dog matches the characteristics of both. Love your dog man
And this how wen you don’t sleep around and you don’t know who love for you behind the scenes… this is how it happen. Cuz I don’t know whose watching. Zuckerberg got a fade.. 👀👀👀👀👀
"CANE CORSO" is phonetically pronounced "KAH-NAY KOR-SO". "CANE (KAH-NAY)" is not pronounced as in candy cane, walking cane, king or anything other than KAH-NAY.

Just dont get one from maximo kennels out of California. I ordered mine and max said it was 5 weeks old, couple days later after i paid, he said hes ready next week. Dog looked anorexic and he had two different types of e coli. Max took the puppy back and told me i would get a refund, but he has snubbed me
while iam driving but he's only 7 weeks old should I stop letting him lay on my lap
Does the crate have to be heavy duty?
I wouldn’t get one of the heavy duty ones unless your pup shows a need for it. Like potentially hurting himself trying to get out of the crate.
Do you have to feed a raw diet to the cane corso
No you don’t have to. I don’t feed Duke raw. Here is a video about what I feed him.

I’m a jogger, can they handle 9 miles at a decent pace?
I don’t recommend doing that with them.
Do they sleep in the cage at night
Got 4 males 3blue 1 black
My corso runs up to strangers. How i stop that?
Off leash?

I’m Italian so yeah it our breed dog don’t need to know how to train it when it our national dog
My puppy thinks he's a lapdog he's 7 weeks old should I stop letting him lay on my lap
That’s fine. Let him Dow it now, it helps with bonding. Also, he isn’t going to be small for long! 😅
Cane Corso not definitely not for the average person. My neighbor has one and when I first saw her as a pup, she didn't really look like a Corso. She's the neighborhood sweetheart and isn't your typical Corso. But my female GSD does NOT like her at all.
Hi, Duke is well trained .. People should know you can't play with these dogs, it's a must they be trained properly...
True, indeed! 🐾❤️
Sorry don’t know why that said that twice
Beautiful boy, makes me miss my beastie girl.
Pronounced kayne corso... like candy cane
"CANE CORSO" is phonetically pronounced "KAH-NAY KOR-SO". "CANE (KAH-NAY)" is not pronounced as in candy cane, walking cane, king or anything other than KAH-NAY.
Happy to hear that worked for your family! 🐾❤️
Trying to source a cane corso pup at the moment hopefully I get one but how would this work around me working?
