I've been wearing Earth Runners for four years and, of course, I love them. In all that time, I've never had the buckle come undone on its own. And, those strap contact points on the bottom have held up fine. The material is tougher than you think and the weight of your body/foot is minimal at those points. The key to strap comfort is breaking them in slowly and following the tips the company suggests. It may take some patience. Well worth it! This product has improved my life markedly on multiple levels.
@@joelhorlen20-zk3xr thanks for sharing your experience with them! That's awesome the laces have lasted so long, definitely puts my mind at ease about 'em
I've got my first pair of Earth Runner Circadians with the Adventure Laces (the hard ones) about 10 days ago, I've had them pretty much glued to my feet since, we're currently under extremely strong heat in Spain, and cannot wear closed shoes... even if my Vivobarefoot Addis are pretty breathable For the first few days, they were a bit rough in between my toes, and the canvas was eating up the skin at the bottom of the heel a little bit more than any other sandal I've used before, after 5 or so days, and taking the sandals by the water, they have fully broken in, and now I can use them the whole day long without any pain or discomfort. The single adjustment I need to make, is that when wet, the material on the laces shrinks and softens a bit, and to keep the sandals tight, I need to tighten the strap a little bit, otherwise they become a bit loose, which, while I don't mind because they don't come off, I prefer having them snug. They have been an absolutely great purchase, and cannot be happier with them so far!
Those are some nice sandals man . I am so glad to see you doing sandals as well . I do like how the front of the sandal is open to people who have very feet 🦶 . & with my toes being Evenly straight across i like how you can fit my toes into the sandals with no problem . I got a pair of Bedrock sandals that are the same way too but the only problem is that they are not wide enough for my toes . But the sandals is very very comfortable to wear . I wear them for kayaking 🛶 , riding my bike 🚲 with my boys , & for walking as well . Good video about the sandals . You should do a review of the Bedrock sandals , the Shamma sandals . I have a pair of the Shamma sandals as well & i love them as well & i wears all my sandals weekly . I take turn wearing each one of them .
Running in sandals is a fun idea, super nice when it's hot out especially, but yeah, if you're running on a trail with little rocks and sand or loose dirt, that takes away a lot of the fun haha
I haven't found a pair of huarache sandals that I can keep on my feet. The heel strap always slides down, no matter how they are adjusted. Idk if it is my foot shape, the volume or what but I have to use an extra strap like on Xeros or Lunas tech straps. Not really a fan of that either. Now, I haven't tried these so I can't say for sure that they won't work but I have two pair of homemade huaraches and have the same issue with those as well, lol. I've really been considering a pair of bedrock sandals because they look like they secure to your foot better. Maybe a bit higher in stack height than I would prefer but it would be a compromise I'd be willing to make. Have you had any experience with Bedrock? Thanks for another video, guys!
