My buff idea for accel is basically the same as how Machinery from Doomspire Defense works, basically: if accelerator is charged up and gets stunned, whenever the stun is over he instantly continues from where he left off without having to charge up, this wont reset his overcharge to keep it somewhat balanced and so he cant fire forever

Also, i think this is the probable worst feature of accel, is that accel only locks on to 1 enemy and only moves on to another either when that enemy dies or it goes on overcharge. Hidden wave abuses this by sending huge loads of enemies that only turret, engineer, golden minigunner (some might disagree but it has insane dps, just bad range), gatling can deal with. I still remember prime accel being an absolute beast in dps even without the help of other supports.

Accel’s DPS should be nerfed, but the DPS added by the drones will make it relatively the same. If stunned, the drones will still attack, at the cost of less damage during accel’s stun time. If they are stunned AGAIN, then the drones will stop attacking. However, accelerators stun time will not reset. There we go!
Accelerator needed to get that nerf because engineer which costed more was much worse for BIGGER price. The only thing they can do now to accelerator is to make enemies stop abuse stun ability.
now that we know why accel is kinda bad at the current time, here is my bad idea to fix it energy shield. at level 4 it will have a energy shield that can block stun and regenerate every 20 second and at level 5 the shield can block 3 stun and only regenerate when all 3 block broke (or no stun for 20 second)

But accel is overall better in trio and squad (lets say you have 1 dj,8 farms,1pyro,and 3 commander in a squad match then accel would be better). This tower is like the signature hardcore tower for TDS but yet still it struggles on reworked Fallen. You can't solo Fallen anymore with only Accel, farm, gold scout, dj like the old times. They should actually give this tower the insane buff which it deserves for being the number 1 to go tower for any event or gamemode of the last 4 years despite it recent buff.
Am I the only one who finds mercenary base as a relatively meta dps unit, if you use it’s ability right it can deal like 50k total damage on a shorter map, and like 100k on a longer one Edit: it can also tank stomps

Yeah but the sentries will still attack if the Engineer gets stunned and is still stronger with buff and more cost efficient, and Golden Minigunner is more cost efficient than Accel, plus with 50% COA and 20% DJ buff GMini deals an average 432DPS and Acell deals 450. Add Merc bad and GMini is stronger. The only thing Accel has going for it is slightly more range, good at shredding boss when it spawns, and cheap effective hidden detection.
I literally used accel more than engi but now i learned to use the towers that everyone thinks that sucks but have a great potential and are actually goid like military base, electroshocker, rocketeer and much more. Becoming more hugh level made me understood why thenpros use such a different loadout than i originaly expected
@@theunknown479 Turret has lower placement limit which makes it more compatible with other dps towers+ has higher range so it isnt as affected with stuns also 8 max accels cost more than 3 max turrets, Brawler and Engi are the better options for gem towers and Ranger overall is better option from coin towers. I am not saying turret is better but it can be better in some situations especially multi player
people are saying to buff accel but for 2500 gems, its honestly a really good tower for its price. and also gems are the most abundant it has ever been, the devs are giving them out like hotcakes with the weeklies and with how easy hardcore is. a top 5 tower in my heart.

@@_Pardo_ accel does NOT need a buff. The DPS towers as a whole just need to be nerfed so accel doesn't need a buff to get caught up in the META. Here's an example. The devs ultra buff military base to the point where it's used in 80% of loadouts, but they're too afraid to nerf it so they buff ranger to have more damage so it's not outclassed. Then they buff engi for a similar reason, then gatling gun falls behind and they need to buff gatling gun. But then the military base falls behind and they need to buff that again. Instead, they could just nerf the ultra-buffed mili base to stop this cycle. Me and hyperlaser_merc discussed this somewhere else iirc.

I disagree about accel being better than golden mini, accels has to always take breaks and pause then rev up a lot longer than minis do, and minis are a continuous stream of dps and they don't stop till there is nothing left to shoot at, I've always had a much better experience with gold mini over accel
The accel rev up time is kinda low at lv 4-5 and normal you will have something to defend early game so you can eventually afford an accel of that level while accel also has a far better range, dps and overall it's more viable than GAMBLING for g mini The only thing I give to g mini it's the ability to be spammeable
6:45 not really for me. Its still a pretty decent tower but like u said, its fallen off the meta. I only use it to solo molten but for fallen not really. Plus molten is getting reworked idk if its gonna be bad for accel. I hope they buff the stun part a bit
Red_Toppat, this tower is the key reason why I won the haz3mn Collab. Other runs without this tower fails. But when I brought accelerator, I won. I think this tower is good in terms of a few enemies that their total hp is less than accelerator's overcharge metre. Here's an idea for a buff. Remove crook boss's flying detection.

What they should do: Make accel stun immune, but every time it gets stunned, it has to charge again. It wont be a perfect fix, and they might have to tweak charging times on max level, but it would def help the accel in some way.
Sledger before: Best tower for stalling without bugs hands down. Not that many stunners until the boss arrives Sledger now: Poor excuse for a stall tower, dps is not worth its cost, placement limit kills its use, and stun enemies kill the tower.
Ill tell you this as a guy who owns sledger from fi-2021, the past sledger was far more way better than the current sledger now, current sledger stalls for only 1 sec making it almost impossible to double hit due to his atk cooldown, and current sledger is outclassed by many such as jester, fb, freezer, etc.
How to fix accel: give him drones that start firing if he gets stunned, with half his damage and overcharge. If they run out of overcharge before the stun ends, they crash into the targeted enemy and explode instead of recharging.
The accelerator has been getting small nerfs over time while other late game dps towers like the turrent have been getting buffed constantly. They most likely did this to make loadouts more different and not constantly using the same towers
I personally use accelerator but I tend to place it away from the path so it’s less affected by smaller stuns, dj also helps since it gives accelerator more range so it can more space it can be away from the path
I've seen a lot of people argue that the current META in TDS is the worst in the game's history. While I do agree that the balancing is... questionable, it's much better than accelerator only META. There should be NO tower in the history of the entire game that effectively shreds most bosses, which is why gatling and ranger need a substantial nerf. Another thing I'd like to address, baiting enemies is NOT strategic. It's just placing towers randomly. This made stunning just an absolute joke overall. Now they're smarter, as you said, and that's arguably a lot more strategic. The only problem is that there are too many stun immune towers. Brawler should have stun resistance like the Warden, and ranger should have ground-based stun immunity, not stun immunity to everything. There are a lot more ideas that I have, but I think TDS gets the point that having stun immunity towers makes medic useless, which they countered with night 3 of this event (good job devs). Accelerator is also really good now. It's no longer outclassed, being useful for trio and quad runs with the good CE. It is literally META for night 3 on both easy and hard mode, but that doesn't count because it's limited time only. Now, it's a great DPS option to bring overall. No tower should be accelerator in 2020-2022, just as no tower should be like gatling and ranger in its current state. It does not need another nerf, but it could use a rebalance overall. Maybe something that reduces its placement limit? Hot take, TDS should nerf a lot of late game towers. An overall DPS nerf to everything would fix this, and appeal to the content-hungry level 300s that want everything to be a challenge. Yes, they could just buff the enemies, but it wouldn't make a noticeable difference unless you gave fallen squire 800 HP, fallen giant 7k HP, fallen shield with 20k HP, fallen honor guard with 125k HP and fallen king with 300k hp. The easiest way to fix the powercreep and balancing in TDS is just to nerf the DPS of *LATE GAME* towers (meaning towers that are good in late game) and find a way to make early-mid game towers not as good in the late, and vice versa. That and... ... not being so generous by handing out detections left and right in tower rebalances. Hidden enemies aren't a threat, flying enemies are only annoying due to their speed (almost every META tower has flying detection) and there are only 3 lead enemies in TDS (molten rework pls save us). Why is this bad? Well it makes every enemy that has one of these detections basically a nonexistent threat. Sure, you have fallen seraphs in fallen, but those are only annoying when buffed by fallen jesters, which to be fair make everything annoying. Sure, you have the 3 lead enemies in HC, but for some reason every tower has lead detection so its not a problem. Fallen summoner is the ONLY one that doesn't follow this rule, by being a high HP tank summoner and a stealth enemy at half HP. Another hot take, he should honestly be a ghost (meaning units can't collide with them), which is much more fitting for somebody who does magic, and wouldn't make too much of a difference anyway. Another fix is they could add another detection, and give less OP towers such as freezer, warden, mortar and pyro (yes they're still useful but not META, and I'm talking about normal pyro btw) those detections and only those towers the detections to make them really good. They could also combine detections, such as lead and flying (that's so stupid though). What about hidden and flying? Or this hypothetical new detection + lead? Or the new detection + hidden? With at least 4 detections, there are a lot of possibilities. dont read allat
Tbh I agree with balancing being janky. Like why does Gatling have 1.5 pierce with full map range who thought this was an good idea? I don't really like how towers that were good like accels and pursuit gets so outclassed when they already were really strong. It just doesn't feel right.

Accelerator is added to take down some crowds of enemys and the reason why engineer exist now is to help out accelerator's single target when all of the enemies are gone exept the boss (idk i made it up)
1 of 2 things, 1. Make it so accel can't be affected by stun while charging up/give it stun avoidance were it has less of a chance to be stunned 2 (kinda a joke) make it stun amune, it has a suit of armor after all.
Why not fix it with a medic rework? Medic could have a ability that makes towers on its range stun immune for a limited time like mechanic from tower blitz, a passive ability that reduces how long a tower is stun, and maybe make the normal stun cleanse cheaper, like lvl 2 or something, or make medic a reliable early defense so the “why not bring another dps tower” option is less considered. After all accelerator isnt the only tower with the issue, and the issue will definitely get worse.
I honestly think its still pretty good, but since it is a gem tower, requiring you to be level 50+ and having somewhat of a grind to get, it should be somewhat better. I think the best way of balancing it is with the stun. Maybe when it gets un-stunned it doesn't have to charge up again and just continues?
I honestly think that accel should be THE tower you use for dps and only dps. What I mean by that is they should buff his damage and his overcharge to be one of the top 3 dps towers. Engineer replaces accel completely in dps AND crowd control. The sentries not being able to see hidden felt like a good trade off for doing more dps than accel, but since they can see hidden now, they are just more powerful for simply no reason. I think the price increase for accel on the final level should be increased by a lot as well as give is a LOT more dps and overcharge. 6k overcharge and 65 damage every tick. This is my opinion, don't rip me apart in the replies.
He fell 3 inches and made some friends, the tds community just got so used to accelerator being the only relevant dps tower that competition actually existing is unfathomable.
I'm not sure if accel is the one in need of buffs or if the stun immune troops are just a tad too strong currently, however I think accel SHOULD have the highest DPS in game while keeping his weaknesses to make him unique
They should add an explosion every time accel finishes his ammo, maybe around 400 dmg max lvl to make it more reliable for aoe and makes up for the reloading time
imo accelerators should simply have a little animation when they get stunned, then come out of it attacking relatively fast again with the same charge they had when they get stunned. example being they get hit by the stun and stumble backward a bit, shake then smack their gun and get back to shooting. or if it's something like ice witch or dank accel, they shake and blow on their hands before shooting out lightning again.
Community praised it too much, making accel get noticed and nerfed like 7 times. So if it was anything, it would be the community’s fault (but I wasn’t there when accel was really strong so idk maybe it was actually too op)
Under the best conditions, if you were in a party where dj and commander are being used and the accel doesn't get stunned, it's the best dps tower in the game (mathematically proven by zeuseO7, also has better value than engi given the support buff)
I think what would solve the problem would be to increase the charge time rate of the accelerator and also reduce its upgrade value, which is very expensive in hardcore. I prefer to spend more gems on a better accelerator than a tower, which is useless even in hardcore.
My buff idea is to make accelerator pre-charge basically meaning to charge up before the enemy has entered the range.But if that isnt possible then i belive the best thing to do is to lower the rev up and overcharge time during the levels for example level 1-rev up: 2 seconds Overcharge:2.5 seconds level 2-rev up:1.5 seconds Overcharge:2 seconds level 3-rev up:1.4 seconds Overcharge:1.5 seconds Level 4-rev up:1 second Overcharge:1.3 level 5-rev up 0.7 seconds Overcharge:1
In my opinion, accelerator has fallen in the consumibles update, because the damage and fire rate buffs make that his recharge mechanic makes that he is more time recharching than dealing damage.
I think you're more complaining about the new mechanic in accelerator rework update. Before, it used to shoot for a certain amount of time, but after that update, it has a damage threshold that it can't pass, so if accelerator gets a lot of outside buffs, it spends half of the time recharging because of how quickly he deals damage.
i think the downfall started when engineer got buffed significantly, gold mini and turret got rebalanced, gatling got added and maybe even when merc got added
Honestly, from how far accel has gone down, id honestly just reccommend to new players whos grinding HC to get it only to help them get engi and brawler, then just forget about him. I think for accel to be good it needs have some kind of stun immunity and also slightly more dps. If the devs don’t do anything in a few months,accelerator might even be forgotten. I missed when accelerator was op,now Gatling gun took over accelerator.

Accelerator simply needs partial stun immunity. Here are my ideas: 1. Give it a shield that tanks 2 stuns. So it’ll take 3 stuns to stun accelerator. 2. Make it so it can’t be stunned whenever it’s charging up or cooling down. This negates most annoying stuns. 3. Half the time accelerator is stunned for. The awakened fallen king can literally stun towers for 20 seconds once it spawns. Now, some things to note: 1. People might say accelerator shouldn’t have partial stun immunity. If so, then you’re gonna have to give it A LOT of DPS to counter the overwhelming amount of stuns in fallen mode. It’d probably take ~3,000 RAW DPS to even rival minigunners. 2. Giving partial stun immunity isn’t going to SOLVE EVERYTHING about accelerator. It’s still just a minigunner with extra steps at the end of the day performance-wise, which makes for rather boring gameplay. Accelerator needs to be an ACTUAL BOSS KILLER, like RANGER. The simplest way is to change the charge-up to 4 seconds, and change the overcharge accordingly so that the DPS stays the same.

As an original player, I miss my old Accel, but it’s still my main DPS tower. I believe that if it were buffed to attack multiple enemies like the necromancer and given a plasma shield to resist stuns and regenerate, it could reclaim its status as the greatest of all time.
You know, theres something thag could be done to stun immune towers. Reworking the stun immune system. Maybe, a stun resistance system. Heres how it could work: Lets say a tower has 20% stun resistance. Lets refer to this tower as TOWER A TOWER A gets stunned by an attack that lasts for 10 seconds, for a tower that has no stun resistance, that will still be 10 seconds, but TOWER A has 20% stun resistance, which could mean that TOWER takes 8 seconds of being stunned instead of 10, this could work on some towers like accelerator (maybe a 45% stun resistance could work) to prevent it from falling off. And maybe, make cliff towers have 75% stun resistance instead of them having stun immunity. This is just my opinion, feel free to criticize.

Yeah but the sentries will still attack if the Engineer gets stunned and is still stronger with buff and more cost efficient, and Golden Minigunner is more cost efficient than Accel, plus with 50% COA and 20% DJ buff GMini deals an average 432DPS and Acell deals 450. Add Merc bad and GMini is stronger. The only thing Accel has going for it is slightly more range, good at shredding boss when it spawns, and cheap effective hidden detection.

I literally used accel more than engi but now i learned to use the towers that everyone thinks that sucks but have a great potential and are actually goid like military base, electroshocker, rocketeer and much more. Becoming more hugh level made me understood why thenpros use such a different loadout than i originaly expected

It's still really good. It's cost efficiency isn't as horrid as Turret, it has high range, and it has 8 placement limit.
@@theunknown479 Turret has lower placement limit which makes it more compatible with other dps towers+ has higher range so it isnt as affected with stuns also 8 max accels cost more than 3 max turrets, Brawler and Engi are the better options for gem towers and Ranger overall is better option from coin towers. I am not saying turret is better but it can be better in some situations especially multi player

people are saying to buff accel but for 2500 gems, its honestly a really good tower for its price. and also gems are the most abundant it has ever been, the devs are giving them out like hotcakes with the weeklies and with how easy hardcore is. a top 5 tower in my heart.

@@_Pardo_ accel does NOT need a buff. The DPS towers as a whole just need to be nerfed so accel doesn't need a buff to get caught up in the META. Here's an example.
The devs ultra buff military base to the point where it's used in 80% of loadouts, but they're too afraid to nerf it so they buff ranger to have more damage so it's not outclassed. Then they buff engi for a similar reason, then gatling gun falls behind and they need to buff gatling gun. But then the military base falls behind and they need to buff that again.
Instead, they could just nerf the ultra-buffed mili base to stop this cycle. Me and hyperlaser_merc discussed this somewhere else iirc.

I disagree about accel being better than golden mini, accels has to always take breaks and pause then rev up a lot longer than minis do, and minis are a continuous stream of dps and they don't stop till there is nothing left to shoot at, I've always had a much better experience with gold mini over accel
The accel rev up time is kinda low at lv 4-5 and normal you will have something to defend early game so you can eventually afford an accel of that level while accel also has a far better range, dps and overall it's more viable than GAMBLING for g mini

Red_Toppat, this tower is the key reason why I won the haz3mn Collab. Other runs without this tower fails. But when I brought accelerator, I won. I think this tower is good in terms of a few enemies that their total hp is less than accelerator's overcharge metre.
Here's an idea for a buff. Remove crook boss's flying detection.

What they should do: Make accel stun immune, but every time it gets stunned, it has to charge again. It wont be a perfect fix, and they might have to tweak charging times on max level, but it would def help the accel in some way.

Ill tell you this as a guy who owns sledger from fi-2021, the past sledger was far more way better than the current sledger now, current sledger stalls for only 1 sec making it almost impossible to double hit due to his atk cooldown, and current sledger is outclassed by many such as jester, fb, freezer, etc.

How to fix accel: give him drones that start firing if he gets stunned, with half his damage and overcharge. If they run out of overcharge before the stun ends, they crash into the targeted enemy and explode instead of recharging.

The accelerator has been getting small nerfs over time while other late game dps towers like the turrent have been getting buffed constantly. They most likely did this to make loadouts more different and not constantly using the same towers

I personally use accelerator but I tend to place it away from the path so it’s less affected by smaller stuns, dj also helps since it gives accelerator more range so it can more space it can be away from the path

I've seen a lot of people argue that the current META in TDS is the worst in the game's history. While I do agree that the balancing is... questionable, it's much better than accelerator only META. There should be NO tower in the history of the entire game that effectively shreds most bosses, which is why gatling and ranger need a substantial nerf.
Another thing I'd like to address, baiting enemies is NOT strategic. It's just placing towers randomly. This made stunning just an absolute joke overall. Now they're smarter, as you said, and that's arguably a lot more strategic. The only problem is that there are too many stun immune towers. Brawler should have stun resistance like the Warden, and ranger should have ground-based stun immunity, not stun immunity to everything. There are a lot more ideas that I have, but I think TDS gets the point that having stun immunity towers makes medic useless, which they countered with night 3 of this event (good job devs).
Accelerator is also really good now. It's no longer outclassed, being useful for trio and quad runs with the good CE. It is literally META for night 3 on both easy and hard mode, but that doesn't count because it's limited time only. Now, it's a great DPS option to bring overall. No tower should be accelerator in 2020-2022, just as no tower should be like gatling and ranger in its current state. It does not need another nerf, but it could use a rebalance overall. Maybe something that reduces its placement limit?
Hot take, TDS should nerf a lot of late game towers. An overall DPS nerf to everything would fix this, and appeal to the content-hungry level 300s that want everything to be a challenge. Yes, they could just buff the enemies, but it wouldn't make a noticeable difference unless you gave fallen squire 800 HP, fallen giant 7k HP, fallen shield with 20k HP, fallen honor guard with 125k HP and fallen king with 300k hp. The easiest way to fix the powercreep and balancing in TDS is just to nerf the DPS of *LATE GAME* towers (meaning towers that are good in late game) and find a way to make early-mid game towers not as good in the late, and vice versa. That and...
... not being so generous by handing out detections left and right in tower rebalances. Hidden enemies aren't a threat, flying enemies are only annoying due to their speed (almost every META tower has flying detection) and there are only 3 lead enemies in TDS (molten rework pls save us). Why is this bad? Well it makes every enemy that has one of these detections basically a nonexistent threat. Sure, you have fallen seraphs in fallen, but those are only annoying when buffed by fallen jesters, which to be fair make everything annoying. Sure, you have the 3 lead enemies in HC, but for some reason every tower has lead detection so its not a problem. Fallen summoner is the ONLY one that doesn't follow this rule, by being a high HP tank summoner and a stealth enemy at half HP. Another hot take, he should honestly be a ghost (meaning units can't collide with them), which is much more fitting for somebody who does magic, and wouldn't make too much of a difference anyway.
Another fix is they could add another detection, and give less OP towers such as freezer, warden, mortar and pyro (yes they're still useful but not META, and I'm talking about normal pyro btw) those detections and only those towers the detections to make them really good. They could also combine detections, such as lead and flying (that's so stupid though). What about hidden and flying? Or this hypothetical new detection + lead? Or the new detection + hidden? With at least 4 detections, there are a lot of possibilities.

Tbh I agree with balancing being janky. Like why does Gatling have 1.5 pierce with full map range who thought this was an good idea? I don't really like how towers that were good like accels and pursuit gets so outclassed when they already were really strong. It just doesn't feel right.

Accelerator is added to take down some crowds of enemys and the reason why engineer exist now is to help out accelerator's single target when all of the enemies are gone exept the boss (idk i made it up)

g mini is easily the best dps tower, 15 of them gives the maximum amount of dps with proper medic and commander placement
The issue is stuns, price and range. Thats what makes it balanced.

1 of 2 things,
1. Make it so accel can't be affected by stun while charging up/give it stun avoidance were it has less of a chance to be stunned
2 (kinda a joke) make it stun amune, it has a suit of armor after all.
Why not fix it with a medic rework? Medic could have a ability that makes towers on its range stun immune for a limited time like mechanic from tower blitz, a passive ability that reduces how long a tower is stun, and maybe make the normal stun cleanse cheaper, like lvl 2 or something, or make medic a reliable early defense so the “why not bring another dps tower” option is less considered.
After all accelerator isnt the only tower with the issue, and the issue will definitely get worse.

I honestly think its still pretty good, but since it is a gem tower, requiring you to be level 50+ and having somewhat of a grind to get, it should be somewhat better. I think the best way of balancing it is with the stun. Maybe when it gets un-stunned it doesn't have to charge up again and just continues?
I honestly think that accel should be THE tower you use for dps and only dps. What I mean by that is they should buff his damage and his overcharge to be one of the top 3 dps towers. Engineer replaces accel completely in dps AND crowd control. The sentries not being able to see hidden felt like a good trade off for doing more dps than accel, but since they can see hidden now, they are just more powerful for simply no reason. I think the price increase for accel on the final level should be increased by a lot as well as give is a LOT more dps and overcharge. 6k overcharge and 65 damage every tick. This is my opinion, don't rip me apart in the replies.

imo accelerators should simply have a little animation when they get stunned, then come out of it attacking relatively fast again with the same charge they had when they get stunned. example being they get hit by the stun and stumble backward a bit, shake then smack their gun and get back to shooting. or if it's something like ice witch or dank accel, they shake and blow on their hands before shooting out lightning again.
Community praised it too much, making accel get noticed and nerfed like 7 times. So if it was anything, it would be the community’s fault (but I wasn’t there when accel was really strong so idk maybe it was actually too op)

Under the best conditions, if you were in a party where dj and commander are being used and the accel doesn't get stunned, it's the best dps tower in the game (mathematically proven by zeuseO7, also has better value than engi given the support buff)
I think what would solve the problem would be to increase the charge time rate of the accelerator and also reduce its upgrade value, which is very expensive in hardcore. I prefer to spend more gems on a better accelerator than a tower, which is useless even in hardcore.
My buff idea is to make accelerator pre-charge basically meaning to charge up before the enemy has entered the range.But if that isnt possible then i belive the best thing to do is to lower the rev up and overcharge time during the levels for example
level 1-rev up: 2 seconds Overcharge:2.5 seconds
level 2-rev up:1.5 seconds Overcharge:2 seconds
level 3-rev up:1.4 seconds Overcharge:1.5 seconds
Level 4-rev up:1 second Overcharge:1.3
level 5-rev up 0.7 seconds Overcharge:1

In my opinion, accelerator has fallen in the consumibles update, because the damage and fire rate buffs make that his recharge mechanic makes that he is more time recharching than dealing damage.

I think you're more complaining about the new mechanic in accelerator rework update. Before, it used to shoot for a certain amount of time, but after that update, it has a damage threshold that it can't pass, so if accelerator gets a lot of outside buffs, it spends half of the time recharging because of how quickly he deals damage.

Honestly, from how far accel has gone down, id honestly just reccommend to new players whos grinding HC to get it only to help them get engi and brawler, then just forget about him. Accel needs some sort of stun resistance to be good. Turret doesnt suffer nearly as much because of its crazy range and 0 charge up

Accelerator simply needs partial stun immunity. Here are my ideas:
1. Give it a shield that tanks 2 stuns. So it’ll take 3 stuns to stun accelerator.
2. Make it so it can’t be stunned whenever it’s charging up or cooling down. This negates most annoying stuns.
3. Half the time accelerator is stunned for. The awakened fallen king can literally stun towers for 20 seconds once it spawns.
Now, some things to note:
1. People might say accelerator shouldn’t have partial stun immunity. If so, then you’re gonna have to give it A LOT of DPS to counter the overwhelming amount of stuns in fallen mode. It’d probably take ~3,000 RAW DPS to even rival minigunners.
2. Giving partial stun immunity isn’t going to SOLVE EVERYTHING about accelerator. It’s still just a minigunner with extra steps at the end of the day performance-wise, which makes for rather boring gameplay.
Accelerator needs to be an ACTUAL BOSS KILLER, like RANGER. The simplest way is to change the charge-up to 4 seconds, and change the overcharge accordingly so that the DPS stays the same.

By your logic, which I’m assuming is based on pricing (an already flawed argument easily disproven), ranger is a stepping stone for turret, turret is a stepping stone for mortar, mortar is a stepping stone to pursuit, and then we EVENTUALLY end off at GATLING GUN. Because gatling gun isn’t a stepping stone at all, you can then JUSTIFY it being LUDICROUSLY OP.

As an original player, I miss my old Accel, but it’s still my main DPS tower. I believe that if it were buffed to attack multiple enemies like the necromancer and given a plasma shield to resist stuns and regenerate, it could reclaim its status as the greatest of all time.

You know, theres something thag could be done to stun immune towers. Reworking the stun immune system. Maybe, a stun resistance system. Heres how it could work:
Lets say a tower has 20% stun resistance. Lets refer to this tower as TOWER A
TOWER A gets stunned by an attack that lasts for 10 seconds, for a tower that has no stun resistance, that will still be 10 seconds, but TOWER A has 20% stun resistance, which could mean that TOWER takes 8 seconds of being stunned instead of 10, this could work on some towers like accelerator (maybe a 45% stun resistance could work) to prevent it from falling off. And maybe, make cliff towers have 75% stun resistance instead of them having stun immunity.
This is just my opinion, feel free to criticize.
