Everyone should experience Aurora live at least one time in their lives. FIX'D 😋 Seeing her live is unreal. The energy she fills the room with is extraordinary.
SHE'S SO GOOD.. Her voice is really one of a kind, and so is her capability to convey strong emotions in such an ethereal way.. I'm completely in love with her and her music! Thank you for reacting to this :)
LOL Auroras best live vocals is an endless list of her songs. All she touches becomes to gold, pick a song and you find a treasure💎 Tanks for your beautiful reaction❤️
“Her belt reminds me of Avril Lavigne “ 😍😍😍 just says it all really! She has a very similar yodel quality to her voice. Auroras song Queendom, in the chrous she sings “my Queendom come- yodelah yodeliah “. This reminds me so much of Avrils yodels in things like I’m with you, or sometimes Avril has a lot of ladedahs which she yodels in her songs. I feel like it’s a very Norwegian or Icelandic thing to do, and I could be very wrong here, but Canada is a very cold place aswell so they could have similar folklore inspirations. I could be very wrong but I just love the connection made there. But I genuinely feel like there yodel qualities are very similar as yodelling in a contemporary or pop style isn’t exactly easy 😂❤️❤️
Loved this reaction! You’re not far off when it comes to when she started writing: She started composing melodies at 6 - the vocalising bit from “Queendom” that you heard here was composed at that time. When she was 9, she began writing lyrics in English. “Lucky”, for example, was written when she was 9 and “Runaway” and “In Boxes” at 11. I honestly think she's a generational talent.
I actually wrote a whole-ass high school paper on the lyrical content of the album "The Sensual World" by Kate Bush. She is tantalizingly mystical. Thanks for mentioning her once in a while.
She is not even in my genre of music... I listen to mostly 80s 90s rock. Then I heard Running With the Wolves as a soundtrack on the TV series Hanna and I had to look her up. Ever since then I can't get enough of her, she is so captivating... That stripped-down version of Through the Eyes of a Child is amazing! I'm hoping she is the next evolution of humans, I truly hope that the world doesn't break her.
Yes please, do take a look at the amazing Susanne Sundfør "White Foxes" or "Undercover" (Live) at Stoller Hall, to begin with. Susanne is another Norwegian artistic genius.
When you said that you hoped her voice wouldn’t change too much, I immediately thought of Joni Mitchell who had such a beautiful, youthful high voice. Her voice is still beautiful but has changed a lot
If you want to be further mesmerized by this wonderful human listen to her interviews, you will realize that a singer is a small part of what she is, they are very therapeutic
I am now 49 and have been a mega fan of Mylène Farmer for almost 40 years, nothing or no one could compete with it until.... Aurora came and Lorde, never thought that someone would dethrone Mylène as favorite artist and not just a little bit but hugely. great, not only in terms of best songs and albums but certainly in terms of singing technique, the beauty of her voice and especially Aurora's personality. Meanwhile, almost half of my top 100 consists of Auora songs. in other words she is indeed Unique Aurora stands alone This is by the way a beautiful compilation of responses for which thanks, but I would also listen very carefully to wishdom cires and infections of a different kind (haik concert), the vocal technicality is simply astonishing and contains very unique elements
Interesting concept for a reaction video, taking snippets of "Best of" performances. Not one I had seen before but nice to see a round up like this, especially with someone like Aurora who has so much to choose from. Might be an interesting idea to look chronologically to see her growth as a performer. When you said to look up Kate Bush I had a little chuckle. As many would know Kate has had a resurgence of popularity thanks to Running up that Hill featuring in the fourth season of Stranger Things. Absolutely agree with the similarity.
I just discovered Aurora and I'm so glad you've covered her. I've seen some other "vocal coach reactions", but unfortunately the reactions were purely emotional and did not contain your level of analyses. Thanks, Georgina!
Great reaction! I’d love to see more reactions to any of her live performances! A personal favorite is the performance of Infections of a Different Kind at the Haik concert :)
Yodelling is something I’m trying to add to my vocal skills as I feel there very technically hard to pull of as your switching registers incredibly quickly on ascending or descending scales? So it’s something I’m trying to do all the time?! X❤️
Another Vocal Coach mentioned 'Kate Bush' too whilst watching Aurora's Cover of the Song "God is a Woman"! It was a UK V.Coach & she mentioned Kate twice & I agree. Having grown up on Kate's music I hear what you'll both mean. Great peice of footage to watch with you, TY.
Hey Georgina, I'm from Brazil and I have been following your reactions about Aurora. I wanted you to do one on Black water lilies, where she is outdoors. thanks❤
Oh my god. You mentioned Kate Bush and in fact a friend of mine that had never seen an Aurora video before mentioned the same thing. Definitely an influence. And Björk. And Enya.
Just such a shame that uniqueness is less popular than sounding generic. Sometimes it’s hard to distinguish who’s singing a song as a lot of artists voices and singing styles are the same.
LOVE the Aurora reactions, but whilst watching this I remembered yet another soft lovable voice...it would be nice to have some Lisa Hannigan reactions :D
Her voice has many of the same qualities as Dolores O'Riordan for me, from The Cranberries. Such control and placement of every note and transition. A master of her instrument.
My goodness, never thought about the Kate bush comparison. I’m a young person who has known about Kate bush for years, but I’ve only just discovered Aurora recently.
Aurora is a unique musician in every ways. And I agree about the reminder off both Bjørk and Kate Bush ❤️both outstanding and unique musicians. If you want to hear some of Aurora inheritance in music, we ( west coast of Norway) have another outstanding musician ( and singer) Susanne Sundfør. Please listen to her : Uncover and When the Lord ( film music) 🙏🙏🙏🙏. Love from Norway 💕🇳🇴
I’m sitting here like “uuhhhhhhh.....I can hit quite a lot of the notes she hits and idk man it’s weird....I don’t like singing in front of people, I never have, properly.” When I notice this I always say to myself, “your just to scared, get over your fear”
Not just Aurora but I love the way you describe what's going on, always fascinated by understanding how people are capable of doing this and you've bridged that curiosity really well.
I love Aurora. And as well as many great singers, I prefer her live versions much more than studio recordings. If you like her I suggest you check out this Croatian singer called Nina Kraljić, they kind of sound similar at times, very similar.
Nice! A while back, I requested Georgina a reaction to Exist for Love, so I'm kind of satisfied with this. 😁 And Aurora does sound a bit like Björk, indeed. She's mentioned her as one of her big influences. Her hand/finger movements are SOOOO Björk, as well. The transitions and use of head voice also remind me a little of Ellie Goulding, even if the texture of her voice is different. ❤
Nice reaction! Aurora is here to stay, for sure. I don't see any reactions by you to Angelina Jordan. Another young Norwegian singer who is amazing. You like comparisons. Adele and Angelina A Million Years Ago, Rihanna and Angelina Stay, Lana del Rey and Angelina Born to Die. I think Angelina outsings them in all cases. Or check out Bohemian Rhapsody from AGT last January ,She was 13. So many more. Think about it.
Bro I can’t even breathe when she sings
yeah, i caught myself holding breath every time she goes into the long slide
Aurora sings so beautifully, that just her breathing counts as music...
@@harveycustodio2625 she was my neighbour for a long time
@@Chris_Lodi WHAT? tell me more about it!!! i'm very curious now hahahaha
The way she mixes her registers is beyond my understanding
That what makes her songs so difficult to sing
and the fact that she has had no musical training AT ALL.... incredible.
Aurora's voice is otherworldly
Ethereal. I imagine she can fly back up to the heavens anytime she chooses.
Everyone should listen to Aurora at least one time in their lives. She's pure magic, her voice is so beautiful ♡
Everyone should experience Aurora live at least one time in their lives. FIX'D 😋

@@theuniversewithin2065 I did. I will never forget it.
SHE'S SO GOOD.. Her voice is really one of a kind, and so is her capability to convey strong emotions in such an ethereal way.. I'm completely in love with her and her music! Thank you for reacting to this :)
She is so amazing, probably one of the most talented singers of this generation in my opinion
She's got one of my favorite voices ever. Her tone is just so mystical.
This girl is so underrated 😮
LOL Auroras best live vocals is an endless list of her songs. All she touches becomes to gold, pick a song and you find a treasure💎 Tanks for your beautiful reaction❤️

4:42 For me one of her GOLDEN vocals 😭
Aurora reminds me of a little fairy who sings around the forest 🥺
10:03 very pleasing to the ears amazing she has an amazing voice
Her live performence of "soulless creatures" is just amazing, and she has only done it once! (plus a phone livestream)
Soulless creatures is such an awesome song
She is not even in my genre of music... I listen to mostly 80s 90s rock.

i tear up every single time i listen to her live performance of walking in the air
So good reaction, thank you very much! Also, the ending of Black Water Lilies is just unbelievable!
So underrated. She's pure perfection.
The seasons of Spring and Autumn have a spirit and Aurora is actually the spirit of them together 🦋🍁
She really is the voice of nature.
🍃
Aurora is crazy talented. I’d definitely recommend you take a look at Susanne Sundfør too, their style strikes me as a bit similar.

I just commented the same just now. Lol. Glad Im not alone, she might consider it the more people requesting it:)
I love that she uses twang and a sort of yodeling-ish transition and those are things that I usually dislike but sue makes it work
When you said that you hoped her voice wouldn’t change too much, I immediately thought of Joni Mitchell who had such a beautiful, youthful high voice. Her voice is still beautiful but has changed a lot
She is insane 😍
Aurora have the voice that takes you to a different place..❤thanks for reacting to her.
She is AMAZING ❣️ So underrated

I love her so much, she's the reason I have faith in the next gen. of artists. loved your reaction, can you do Aurora singing "
Life On Mars".
It was on here 2x briefly. Good cover.

Missing "Through Eyes of a Child"
Just constant goosebumps watching this video
I just discovered Aurora and I'm so glad you've covered her. I've seen some other "vocal coach reactions", but unfortunately the reactions were purely emotional and did not contain your level of analyses. Thanks, Georgina!
Just adore Aurora. Thank you.
Aurora is honestly just extremely haunting and her voice sounds like the music you would hear in a movie when the protagonist reaches their goal
Her voice makes me want to run in the forest and be one with nature gosh
Your reaction says it all, she's so unique and amazing, great video 😁🤩
OMG YES THANk YOU FIR REACTING TI HER ♡♡♡♡ AURORIE IS AN OTHERWORLDYLY TALENT

You comparing Aurora with Avril Lavigne don't just made my day it made my whole life 😍❤️
The Fact that she looks so Mature when She Younger it blows my Mind
Just in love with her... ❤️
I love AURORA! The Seed is my favourite song by her 💚

Listen to all her three albums. All three are amazing.

Ty very much for this reaction!
I love ur videos sm
You actually explain what's going on ♡♡
Aurora’s voice is ANGELIC. She’s the voice of the north wind in Frozen 2 calling Elsa to Ahtohallan. And she’s Norwegian.
Her voice is what I imagine mermaids sounded like to enchant sailors.
Thank u for this video! I love Aurora❤️
My goodness, never thought about the Kate bush comparison. I’m a young person who has known about Kate bush for years, but I’ve only just discovered Aurora recently.
She done a amazing cover of god is a woman and a small part in frozen 2 she was the one calling out to elza
Imagine if AURORA had wings and started flying as she sang🥺 That would be so beautiful

Really short hair is when she was 16 and the longer hair with bangs is her recent videos when she’s in her 20s
always hipnotizing perform of Aurora
I’m sitting here like “uuhhhhhhh.....I can hit quite a lot of the notes she hits and idk man it’s weird....I don’t like singing in front of people, I never have, properly.”
When I notice this I always say to myself, “your just to scared, get over your fear”
Love this
Omg thank you
Aurora lets less be more sometimes. True in my head.
I wasn't expecting to hear the little boy in the grass today. It messed me up even in twenty seconds.
Wow!!!
never heard of her before.. if i close my eyes and listen i hear a lot of Dolores O'Riordan as someone else alredy mentioned... She is great tho
Wow - I didn't know about this compilation video. Her best vocals could be a whole video series! :)
2:25 she sounds a bit like grace vanderwall here
Yes, and i love Grace too.
hey queen!!
PERIODDD I LOVE HER SO MUCHH
You have such beautiful blue eyes Vocal Coach

Are there much effects on her microphone in your opinion? Also is it a yodel technique that helps her get that drawn out vocal effect? Thanks!
Just reverb
Aurora kinda reminds me Florence and the machine and the cranberries at the same time
❤️
