  • Today, I go through a few of the steps I take to paint hair! It's best to spend much more time refining and shading / lighting your hair to get it where you want it to be! But take a look at this tutorial and keep painting until you feel you're finished :D

    I have a bit of an issue, though. Is there a good way to make use of brush flow when using a mouse ? I'd like to achieve a similar effect to this but I don't own a tablet that would let me make use of brush settings like pressure and tilt.

    Configuring the pen to match the video's is really difficult and frustrating to do on a surface studio laptop. I applied all the changes done to the pen in the video, but the stroke still looks like a bundle of individual lines instead of joining into a single tip like hair does. I don't have a tablet so I'm using the laptop's touch screen with the surface slim pen 2. I would really appreciate any help.

    How do the ends of your brush strokes taper like that? Is it because I’m drawing on my laptop screen and not on a graphics tablet?

    hola tengo un problema
    pasa que cuando hice un dibujo mas grande que el lienzo, y lo fui moviendo hacia el canvas con la herramientra que parece una cruz de flechas, en la parte gris me aparece como copiado el dibujo, a medida que lo voy arrastrando, mas veces queda calcado todo en una misma capa, es un error?

    • @TutsByKai
      @TutsByKai  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ¡Hola amigo! Veo que dejaste este mismo comentario en tres videos: D de lo que puedo reunir, suena bien. ¿Creo que estás hablando de la herramienta de movimiento? Y si es así, se supone que debe aparecer un pequeño plus gris en el centro de la capa. Una vez que presionas enter, debería desaparecer.
      (Hey pal! I see you left this same comment on three videos :D from what I can gather, it sounds fine. I believe you're talking about the move tool? And if so, it's suppose to bring up a small grey plus in the center of the layer. Once you hit enter, it should go away.)

    Are there any differences between drawing with a mouse and with a pen? I have been doing the same thing, but couldn't get the same results.

    • @avnivohra2840
      @avnivohra2840 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      ik this is a year late but with a pen there is a pressure component which, with brushes, can affect size or opacity, but with a mouse, those things will stay the same throughout your stroke

    You wouldn't say cry-ti-cal when saying critical. Seems like everyone has said Krita the same way for years.
    Anyways - neat tutorial. I'd love to see more painting tutorials. I've always loved handpainted textures in digital art, but digital painting has never really been a strength of mine.

    • @TutsByKai
      @TutsByKai  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, but not all words are spoken the same way. For instance 'tornado' and 'tornadic' are pronounced differently. Caramel is the same way. Many people say care-a-mel... and many people say car-mel. (I personally say car-mel) Toe-may-tow, toe-mah-toe, tah-mae-tow, tuh-mah-toe (I say tuh-mah-toe) :D And thank you so much! I love digital painting! Best way to grow your strength is to just do it :) Jump into Krita and give it a swing :)

    Okay so I painted the skin first then wanted to draw hair from this tutorial and I got the settings and everything but when I put on my stroke black turned golden over the part of the skin colour then continued as black……
    I thought digital art was no different then other subjects like biology because you still have to work hard down to the last detail because a single rule broken and your whole is toast but this worse then physics at least in physics I could tell I was doing it all wrong and I’m gonna fail🥲like oh no if I studied I would have some clue of WTF IS GOING ON now I don’t even after hours of doing the hard work I’m praying that god please make at least on thing work 🙏🫣 cuz all the time I have no clue wtf I’m doing right now😄😆😂😭😭😭
