Yes it makes life easy when animating or drawing with closed lines. Sometimes however when I have to animate something smaller or a fast motion that is when I go back to using one layer for line work and then another layer for the color.
If I'm understanding corrently, I need to make a colorize mask, convert it back to paint layer then add another colorize mask to repeat the process? Not to mention I'll need to be careful to add the frames in the desired spots before merging them. There must be a quicker way to use the masking method, can't it be used in the timeline? Plus there are quicker methods with the bucket tool it's just that they don't let you fill in for its own layer.
Yup. I have a video coming this weekend (hopefully, if I can finish it in time) I will show you how to implement the colourized mask in a animation situation so more understand how I use it on a grand scale.
and I'm always astonished how many people want quicker ways to create animation. "Animation takes time and effort, if we are not willing to work at it then why are we doing it?" (Richard Williams)
Wait can you animate multiple frames with the mask?? Ive tried to do it but it just ISNT working 😭😭 (I’ve got one- but when i go to do another the masks i make just merge into eachover 😔)
@@pascers1543 I do one example in this upcoming video. Ill make a video specifically for your question. Its a good one! th-cam.com/video/7iVinAkDsdU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=4se3qhPnZKxKL-tQ
I feel dump not knowing this feature.
Thank you for this video.
Welcome. Once you get used to it you can use it for animation and just drawings. You will get faster the more you use it.
WOAH, THIS IS AWESOME
I'll definitely have to try that next time I'm drawing!

this tutorial is awesome !! but how can i use this feature in coloring multiple frames at same time in krita?
Unfortunately until Krita creates a better way, this is the only way I know how to do it. th-cam.com/video/nl31fymV5EE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=YHqc71sxAcyUJ5tN
OMG I NEEDED THIS SO BAD. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! HELPED A BUNCH 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
time consuming method... thanks a lot
😄
It's very fast if you are used to doing it. The first couple times might take some time.
Thank you
Welcome!
is this faster than TVpaint coloring?
Not sure, never used TV paint. Sorry
0:37 actually color mask works with non closed lineart
Wait can you animate multiple frames with the mask?? Ive tried to do it but it just ISNT working 😭😭 (I’ve got one- but when i go to do another the masks i make just merge into eachover 😔)
@@pascers1543 i will find the video that shows how I do it.

@@animationstationm thank you!!!
yes just use the same method with all frame but don't forget to create a color layer below to merge with him always
What this is similar when you color in blender lol, however great video
