3 years! For 3 entire years, I have been searching for this. The countless books, videos, tutorials, websites I went thought trying to find out how people do this... And for me to accidentally come across this video. Completely by accident!! I started crying through this video. Thank you so much!
i like the way you actually explain things i have been searching for a fu**ing decent video on how to color on this blasted app for 2 months now and i think this is it
my mouth dropped open SO FAST when you got to the mask layer bit. I’ve been trying to figure out colorizing masks and clipping layers and all of that for MONTHS and been so jealous of artists that had seemed to have mastered it. I felt so dumb and behind, but this video clearly explained it within a minute and cured that!! thanks so much!!!
honestly thank you so much for this. I was trying to find out how to do this for weeks by going on the official website but good god it made no sense for my small brain. You were straight to the point boom done lineart coloured. Honestly, thank you for that so much
if only I found this video 4 YEARS AGO but I finally found this YOU DONT KNOW HOW MUCH THIS CHANGE ME AS AN ARTIST🙏🙏 spending DAYSSS looking for how to do this that you so much
You did it! You showed me the ways of the Digital Art Wizards. I always wondered what kind of magic tricks artists use to just 'colour' over their line art to change the colour.
i've excepted this was made by using the fill tool, or doing it from scratch. but instead it was easier than i've thought. thank you so much. now i can finally make my cheap drawings look better
Oh my god I have literally never used a mask layer because I had no idea what they did (still don’t really) but this was so simple and made coloring line art SO EASY. Thank you so much man
I started drawing digital paintings only recently and i was really struggling getting used to all this stuff since i was a traditional artist but finding this channel was a game changer thanks a lot for making these tutorials (Sorry if i made mistakes English isn’t my first language)
I've been doing this the hard way for as long as I've been doing digital art, and now that I've figured out it could be so easy I don't know if I should be mad or relieved.
I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR SO LONG FOR THIS!!! My personal fav artists always had this really unique style with line art and could never get an answer to how they did it. Thank you so much you have no idea how much you just altered my work for the future!
Oh the pain my hand had to endure for a whole day from manually coloring the lineart and erasing the edges when I could have just done this instead. You sir, have prevented me from further developing carpal tunnel syndrome and for that I am grateful I owe u my life
Easier: just click the the outer right square (the one that looks like a tiny transparent box) next to the a. That locks your outline layer and then you can just color the lines like if you were using a masking. Just click it again to unlock it if you want to keep drawing.
this was perfect for me to know how to color line art a bit, thank you! now if only I knew how to figure out how to color the way I color without making a mess outside the lines that I have to clean up. would actually make my coloring go by way faster
thank you so much for explaining it. ive been struggling with it cause idk what im doing with digital art and no one ive seen just explained it like that
for like 5 years when ive been using krita i didnt know that.... my art would be much better if i wasnt lazy to search for that xd so thank you very much for this video !!
Thanks for the vid man, I have been binge watching your Krita playlist and I'm loving it. Krita is a slept on app, I hope you decide to do more videos in the future.
I can't believe it took me this long to ask myself this question and actually look up to see how other artists did it. I've done full illustrations where I've done nothing but draw colored lineart with specific colors already in mind, to keep them from clashing I just used layers to help simplify it. But that became a nightmare the more things I needed to draw, and also made progress a headache to figure out which layer needs to be on top of which. Again thank you so much for your help and I'll look forward to seeing what else you have for advice.
AA thank you! I've been trying to figure out Krita cause I wanna try it. I was so confused as to why there was no clipping and was tempted to do the linework then put into another program then import it back but this will save me time and space!! Thank YOU
THIS IS PERFECT , JUST WHAT I NEEDED !!! Glad I'm just starting to go digital and I didn't spend three years in agony like Suki Ai , poor fella . Thanks a lot for the info , much appreciated !!!
Wow these are so helpful things to use!! I've been using Krita for a long time now and I really love it, but there's still so many stuff I haven't tried yet! Thank you for this video! ❤️👌🏻
thankyouu so much bro i recently started digital art on krita and ur channel has helped me the most, not even exaggerating but these tips help me so much by making my drawing look great. Thanx man :)
Ty so much!! I’m animating something but I decided that I wanted to change the library color, so this helps a bunch. I was scared redrawing all of my frames lmao
You can use clipping mask before make the lineart be in color! After clipping mask, use brush to color on the layer that is clipping mask on the other layer :)
Really nice ... Not a Krita user cause I'm more inclined to image manipulation in GIMP but this technique you showed looks like it can be done in GIMP. Looking forward to the video tip on how to draw with a mouse ... great video, thank you!
I've been spamming search about how to use clipping groups and shading. U have the perfect requirements for me to help with my digital art in Krita. I beg you please do more tutorials on Krita about layers, shading and background.😍😍😍
Thank you very much. I've been looking for this for months, and all the tutorials I found were too complicated for me. Yours clearly explains everything. Great material ❤
