The Eliza Lam death is strange because it’s almost identical to a movie that came out years before it happened called Dark Water. It’s a good movie. It’s a remake of a Japanese movie.
On February 19, 2013, a body was recovered in a water tank atop the Cecil Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles. It was later identified as that of Elisa Lam, also known by her Cantonese name, Lam Ho Yi (藍可兒; April 30, 1991- February 2013), a Canadian student at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver.
Ahhhh I was just there about a month ago, on a weekend where there was several people taking pictures and stuff. The feeling I got was weird, I couldn’t explain but definitely wasn’t a good feeling. Anyway, Loved the video, good job guys😬
Legends become legends because many stories couldn't be told. Places like hotels though it would be bad for business if it got out that they were haunted or a murder took place there. So in many cases it wasn't reported, but people still told the tale to keep the memory alive.
If you actually check out the construction of the building, why would they put fire escape ladders leading down BETWEEN the building walls? It just seems as if there is something extremely weird about the building itself. No wonder it has such a violent and macabre history. Strange place, weird vibe all around. Awesome video as usual, the Legion of Grimmlifers can't wait for the next one! Grimmlifers Rule! Happy Halloween!!!!!
Since that side of the building was not given any windows, either another tall building was right next to it at the time of construction or was anticipated in the future.

I think it important to note that Elisa Lam was suffering massively with her mental health, she had stopped taking her meds and this may have led to a schizophrenic episode sadily. It also should be noted the area the hotel is located in would lend it to having tragic episodes happening within it due to so many vulnerable people in a small geographical location. As for the serial killers, they prayed on the vulnerable and given the area, this would have attracted them to here, it was also cheap to stay in.

The Lisa Lam video was edited by LE, there were two guys who handed a small object to Lisa as they walked by, when she was in the elevator but they were later cleared of any wrong doings so LE decided to edit them out of the video. Downtown LA has a dark history. That is interesting. Cecil Hotel another scary place. No matter what anyone says. People have a need for scary places and things. Thank you Jessica and Michael. Your the best.
We stayed there in 1978. Rooms were relatively cheap for L.A. Rooms were basically clean and very small. The lobby was quite elegant. Right across the street was a public parking lot and one night there was a shooting there. This was pre-Ramirez, Lam, et al--not bad vibes. I was surprised to later learn that it is considered "skid row"--it was not obvious like what you'd find on the East Coast, Boston, NYC, etc.
I've caught some of Peet's livestreams in the past of the Cecil and first time I did, I passed out due to lack of sleep and I kid you not, I got woken up by a guy's voice saying "Hey There"; I don't know if I was dreaming or what, but that was a lil bit unnerving, and I don't get scared easily
Well done! Thanks for the tidbit about U2. I was not aware of that, and its just those nerdy little facts not everyone knows that I thrive on! Many people will want to stay in Richard Ramirez' room, though sadly I hear those floors are being renovated, so I doubt it will be the same as it was. If you look at the reviews online, more than one guest complained about the place having bed bugs, so if you do stay there be careful, as you dont want those little demons coming back to your house! Great video as always. Cheers! : )
If you ever get a chance come to the Pacific Northwest...Seattle Underground is creepy and Manresa Castle in Port Townsend, Washington. 6:29 the handwritten sign in the window indicates that sometimes someone is available there to accept package deliveries, which indicates to us that the place isn't completely vacant & abandoned, so don't be too spooked when the 24/7 live cam pointing at the hotel shows lights turning on/off around the hotel all night.
Out of all heinous activities in cecil hotel Elisa lam's case is the most creepiest case with unsolved questions still online and the things which gives me an eerie feeling is her synchronical things linking with her when she died like the last book store location which is her cemetry on googlemaps and tb which broke after her death in skidrow which is somehow linked with her name LAM ELISA and the movie dark water is the quite a similar story of elisa lam i hope she is happy the other side of this world.

The Lisa Lam video was edited by LE, there were two guys who handed a small object to Lisa as they walked by, when she was in the elevator but they were later cleared of any wrong doings so LE decided to edit them out of the video. Lisa's death definitely had all the markings of an insider job to it!
That fence around it looks menacing. Well done video about the Cecil. I like the spooky music too. 🙋🏼
Loved yet another video of yours!!!❤️
Michael, I don't know if you and Jessica have had a meet n greet with your fans , but if you haven't yet, please consider doing one ASAP. I would love to meet you and I guarantee so many feel the same. Y'all are amazing. I'm a huge fan bruh.
So…we do meet n greets all the time. At least once a month. Follow our social media for when we do
Downtown LA has a dark history. That is interesting. Cecil Hotel another scary place. No matter what anyone says. People have a need for scary places and things. Thank you Jessica and Michael. Your the best.
I enjoy watching your videos ! Keep them coming my friend 👍🏻
I would love to see the room Richard Ramirez stayed in. Wouldn’t stay the night there though
This is really cool, I would love to go there. AHS 5 Hotel is my favourite, I'd actually like to be a ghost in that place, sometimes anyway. 👻😁
You are on “The Job “ Michael! Sure Appreciate your efforts to go where I wouldn’t go!💪💪💪💪
We stayed there in 1978.
I've caught some of Peet's livestreams in the past of the Cecil and first time I did, I passed out due to lack of sleep and I kid you not, I got woken up by a guy's voice saying "Hey There"; I don't know if I was dreaming or what, but that was a lil bit unnerving, and I don't get scared easily
wait this is so scary
Maybe that is Richard Ramirez saying to you because he is staying at the hotel Cecil in 80s
@@maryrosebarawid5656 Thing is that I couldn't tell if it was coming from my TV or my room
@@samanthamorales7797 I know, right? Freaked me out a lil
@@Ghosthost22 cool story bro.
Dude I found your channel yesterday and I'm HOOKED! Keep up these awesome vids I'm loving the content!
Also Victoria, British Columbia is a really awesome location with a lot of occult history. Love your videos and how respectful and professional you guys are! Much love and respect to you and your adventures!
I live in Victoria BC.
Born and raised we do have many ghost stories and occult related tales.
What a great video. Thanks for doing this. 👍🏻
I loved the video! I had never seen footage shot on the streets around the hotel! Very cool! I'm a big fan of the channel! Kisses from Brazil !!! 👏👏👏😍❤🇧🇷
So glad to have found your channel. Such great content and very well done!
I went there a few weeks before the Netflix doc. Came out bc I knew it was gonna get crazy w ppl visiting it...only thing I really felt was sadness
I absolutely love the channel, just subbed and I can't wait to visit LA, all the best to you from London!
@ 2:14 I believe is the alley Richard Ramirez went through after he did his evil stuff
Hi Michael and Jessica. Wanted to let you know that I got my picture today. And thank you thank you thank you. I love it. Totally makes my day 😊🎃
I’m so glad it got there okay. Be well 🎃
@@grimmlifecollective thank you 😊
Wtf? That’s insane. Especially with the story of the dead Asian girl that was killed and left in the water tank up on the roof. My goodness.
No one knows if she was killed or not... Could’ve possibly been suicide.
I don't think I would ever recover if I knew I had consumed that water.
I lived there for about 5 years and believe me it’s a dark place that whole block is dark
Oh my goat I've been obsessed with this place since AHS Hotel (I know I'm a nerd). The Netflix docuseries just brought up more questions.
So much dark history! Thanks Michael and Jessica 🤘🏻
I found your channel going down a rabbit hole, I’m so happy I came across it. I’ve been missing out on your videos 💯🖤🙌🏻
I've actually stayed at this "hotel" about 30 years ago now. Used to be a Super 88 burgers on the corner. Awesome burgers.
