Beautiful Martin, as you know as well as the old Bedfords I have a very soft spot for the ERF’s, when you said what colours you were going to do the brown and black one I thought, not sure about that, but when I saw the finished result I thought wow, I really like that and it looks very much in keeping with the colours of lorries of this era, the two tone blue one looks stunning too and I love the loads, all three are spot on, what else can I say, another fabulous restoration, I love them👌👍😊

It was a last minute decision to go code 3 with the colours .

Nice challenge, that, Martin - plenty of reference in all three models to help you along with getting them all finished, yet subtle detail changes in each. Cracking new colour schemes on all three. Super job! I even found the expletives useful: I'll use them myself!

Hey Martin, this video was 3 times the fun! You have more energy than I do. Expert work once again. I appreciate how fiddly the masking work is to get this kind of two tone result. You know what, I'm surprised to admit that my favourite is the black/brown one. It's striking. All three are winners though. Top work! 🍁 Looking forward to next weekend's Porsche!

Superb work martin ,the tipper truck looks similar to the lorries I saw delivering grain or hops to the fullers brewery in Chiswick I live nearby ,I use to see them going down the A4, be safe mate and take care ,Mark 😊👍🏻

Dear Martin, I'm sure you know that Tunnel Cement was the name of the Company for the cement mixed ready to tip onto surface. Your restorations are always excellently described and the results very respected. I know the ones referred were finished over year ago but still worth a good look.

great results, love the colour schemes. :) I watched you fiddling with the tipper bed and lid, and could almost hear you think, "How! How did they do it back at the factory?" XD I'm amazed those filigreed lids are still in place. they look to me like the first thing breaking off while playing.
My thinking Lothar was doing 3 of the same brand of truck would save time as well as showing the different colour schemes of the day .
I would think it was a tricky process for the workers until thay got the hang of it ..

Those caps look like what they fitted to certain parts of machinery ie metal lathes. i think the common name for them is oiler caps or cups. The wagons look really nice.

Another great job Martin , I love how you do the cabs two tone and the brown and black is a great combination . I have done all 5 of these but made them all the same colour including the red tipper which is now yellow as the rest of them

Three fine models Martin, all looking brand new again. Great choice of colours, very "period correct" and, like everyone else, I love the black/brown combination. You're going to need a whole lot of shelves if you keep doing these in threes.👍👌😁

Three absolutely stunning restorations Martin, I loved the video. These are a similar cab and chassis to the ERF dumper truck you did about a year ago, you've now got the full set of Corgi ERF's. The brown and black colour is fantastic. What type of sheet metal did you use for the base plate you made? Take care, all the best. Peter.

I used part of a cornd beef tin for the base it was a bit stronger then a beer or soft drinks can.
Great restorations and great colour schemes, as a newbie to the restoration of classic toys, can you tell me how to get the windows looking so good and scratches removed.
Hi steve , if the window unit isn't covered with paint ,wash it in warm soapy water,
Then you can use different grades of sandpaper, depending on the depth of the scratches, I find the ideal thing is a multi sided finger nail sanding stick which you can buy at most places that sell womens stuff, making sure it has a polishing or buffing side .
Or you can use wet and dry paper 250 grit up to 2000.
Some people use auto sol metal polish or lamp doctor for car head lights ..

Hi Steve. The colours I used were all from the Hycote range.
Ford rimini blue.
Ford Olympic blue
Audi brilliant black
Rover russet brown.
And the single coat one was ford coral beige.

every time i think of doing a resto someone beats me to it .. i was looking at spares for the cement truck ..... model supplies have listed them under an incorrect model number they do the red caps tail gate , glass and decal

Did you use caustic soda to strip the paint? I'm a bit reluctant as I'm afraid it will damage the wheels.
These smooth hubs can be put in costic but thay come out with a rough surface and black in colour, so need cleaning and sanding, I don't do it any more with the corgi smooth hubs anymore, I remove them . The old dinky cast hubs can be put in the costic no problem.
