When I was a kid in Yorkshire, 'spice' was the name we used for sweets (candy in the States). So a bag of spice was a bag of sweeties like a bag or jelly babies, or a bag of liquorice allsorts. I genuinely thought that he was about to sit down to overload on sugary treats!
Why would they not give him the curry sauce on the side or at least suggest it to purchase if it is part of the whole experience? It would be like not getting gravy on your poutine here in Canada.
He probably needs a tool bag to carry them in. The ones you strap around your hips, which also includes some napkins, a waste bag or paperweight to hold the rubbish down and his wipes.
You can even by "spice bag" seasoning in supermarkets and Tayto brought out "spice bag" flavoured crisps. The quality can vary widely from takeaway to takeaway though.

Hi danny, I’ve just found this channel but i would like to make a suggestion. If you are in Ireland again go to a little chipper called Aaron’s in a tiny village called Kilsheelan in County Tipperary. This place does 20 inch wraps that easily 4 inches in diameter and 5 layer burgers. Typing this comment is making my mouth water 🤤. They do burgers, chicken, chips and curry sauce in the wraps just to name a few things. People go from all over the country to try the wraps. Check them out and I’ll leave a link to their website in the replies

This is an Irish takeaway/chipper classic, one of the most commonly ordered things here. Obviously, bad ones are out there, but they're usually delicious. Glad you gave it a go and glad you're enjoying Irish grub Danny!
