If a book is believed to be divine, even a single word or meaning differs, it is deem corrupted by man. Because it is rewritten and copied by man from different languages and words over many times can mean different things hence the contradictions in the Bible. In order to avoid reading Bible that is corrupted, there should be an original text to refer to which I believe no longer exist.

If there would be a original manuscript it would have been easy to corupt the text. The Quran is the best example for a corupted text because they gathered and burned nearly all versions of the Quran exept for one. For hundreds of years, scholars only had fairly recent copies of the Old Testament (most were 1000 years old or less).
When the Dead Sea Scrolls, which were written between 150 B.C. and 70 A.D., were found, many supposed that there would be a lot of huge differences between the Scrolls and the copies that had been available.

      🙇‍♂️🙇‍♂️🙇‍♂️🤔🙇‍♂️🙇‍♂️🙇‍♂️🤦‍♂️🙇‍♂️🙇‍♂️🤷‍♂️~👨‍🏫
My mistake, does not make proof for disbelief or the Bible.
Furthermore, my mistake is only in thinking that most of the New Testament text's were found in the Dead Sea Scroll's. ( _i would like to say there are some portions of the New Testament texts included within, but I'm obviously not the expert at this particular history of this cache of scripture._ )
As for the additional texts, so what? I don't see any reason for assuming that having texts unrelated to the Bible, matters one wit in this case. But I would appreciate your reasoning for this mattering in the historical context, if you'd please share??
As for so called errors. I stand by my first statement, even if it doesn't always apply for the biblical texts of the Dead Sea Scroll's.
To wit; it's close enough for near verbatim translations, in the vast majority of cases.
If you're looking for 1st century textual evidence, we have something approaching 94% of the Total Bible that is able to be sourced from the total body of 1st century texts. ( something around +66,000 manuscripts are considered by historians as biblical texts. The closest competitor is the Iliad of Homer. The earliest manuscripts of which is centuries after the author's death, and of which there is maybe 6,800 or so texts that have been discovered. ( _Maybe verging upon a possible 10,000+/- textual fragments if I'm off. But if my precision is off, my accuracy is not._ _Because generally speaking, if you're talking about historical evidence of Ancient texts..._ _The Bible is the LAST text that you would be able to dismiss due to lack of evidence, or similarly the quality of said evidence._ )
Even if you dismiss & disagree with the historical textual evidence, which includes contemporary secular sources, your stuck with the problem of explaining why/how Christianity spread if you're assumptions about the biblical errors were to be true.
By all accounts, within centuries we have Christianity influencing nations and empires. And no one benefited from being Christian in the traditional goals of people seeking power... (☝️👨‍🏫Sex, Wealth, or Power.🤷‍♂️ Or something similar to this.🤷‍♂️ You know what I mean✌😁)
Most of the original followers died/persecuted for their Faith, and nowhere is there evidence of the Disciples or 1st century Christians, getting...
Worldly Success, for lack of any better term.
Again, apologies for thinking that the Dead Sea Scroll's contained the majority of the New Testament texts.
Incidentally, how does the fact that there is a essentially complete copy of the Old Testament Book of Isaiah contained in the Dead Sea Scroll's, fit in this criticism about the 1st century texts that you're relaying in your comment?

I'm a Christian and I don't find these arguments compelling. Look at any English translation of the Bible and you're bound to find contradictions. There are differences that extremely difficult to explain away.

We have more copies of the bible than we do for historical texts of historical figures and the works of romeo and juliet type stories that we never question, Our earliest for documents we trust is LATER than the documents we have for the NT and OT, There are no major variants at all, This video didn't do a good job at explaining that, When you think of the 'insignifant' argument, That is not at all saying that ANYTHING was actually changed, The "insignificant" stuff he is talking about are Flipped wording like Christ Jesus instead of Jesus christ, and mis spellings and numbers possibly, But we can trace all of those back and still come out with the exact meaning. No meaning of the original has been lost, You can use The Codex we have to simply look up the original if there are any problems,
But again, No gospel message , no teachings on sin , etc the Big ones, have ever been changed, the bible is 99% preserved and the 1% is spelling errors and Flipped wording. Meaning has not been lost. The dead sea scrolls alone matched some books Word for word even with changing langauge. The point is The bible we have today can be fully used to teach without it ever being incorrect while you are teaching it, Every book Every word is the same as it would have been taught back then, If you have a hard time believing that, Then as a christian... Why trust The words of Jesus.. Why trust anything. If something can be changed and taken away from God who promised that all scripture would be preserved than God is a Liar. You can't have it both ways, Either we can trust ALL of the bible to teach Gods word.. Or none of it.

    • @salamander4173
      @salamander4173 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      This is just a guess:
Matthew describes how Judas chose to kill himself, while Luke describes the final state of Judas’s body. Matthew tells us that Judas died by hanging. Luke, being a doctor, gives us a graphic description of what occurred following the hanging. There is no contradiction, but rather two descriptions given by different authors of the same event.

    • @grayintheuk8021
      @grayintheuk8021 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@salamander4173
      Firstly;
You hear this all the time where people think they can use the term Doctor!! to get round this issue, Luke is a Doctor so gives a graphical description. Firstly it doesn't say that he was hanging and fell head first when the rope snapped. Normally if you were hanging anything and the rope snaps (maybe after years so not too much liquid left) the item would fall to the ground. Crumple in a heap really, so the you need to add rocks to cause a trip and a fall forwards to dash open the insides. It's a big old stretch of anyones imagination to make it fit.
So this 'story' only appears in Matthew and then via Luke in Acts.
Three of the gospels skip this story out totally.
Back to the actual point which I think you have missed somehow trying to 'explain' another problem.
I'll try to explain what the problem is:
Matthew has Judas throw the money down in the temple and the priest say the money cannot go back to the treasury as it's blood money. So they go off and buy the field which is called the field of blood, purchased with the blood money.
Luke has the body burst open and all his intestines spilled out, blood everywhere and that is why they call it the field of blood.
This is the problem and these two accounts cannot be reconciled.
Why is the field called the field of blood then?
Here are the verses from the bible so it's from the source.
      Matthew 27-5
3 When Judas, who had betrayed him, saw that Jesus was condemned, he was seized with remorse and returned the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and the elders. 4 “I have sinned,” he said, “for I have betrayed innocent blood.”
“What is that to us?” they replied. “That’s your responsibility.”
5 So Judas threw the money into the temple and left. Then he went away and hanged himself.
      Acts 1-18
18 (With the payment he received for his wickedness, Judas bought a field; there he fell headlong, his body burst open and all his intestines spilled out. 19 Everyone in Jerusalem heard about this, so they called that field in their language Akeldama, that is, Field of Blood.)
Is it called the Field of Blood because of Matthew or because of Luke.
      They cannot both be correct.
      Many thanks
      Gray

Hey brother, Jesus said we will be persecuted, we need to stand firm in our faith and preach the gospel with love even if people think it is not love. I would ask them the question “If Christianity were true would you become a Christian?” If they answer yes then ask them “Have you considered that the bible is a reliable collection of historical document that were written by eyewitnesses in the life time of other eyewitnesses and they claim to have experienced supernatural events that took place in fulfilment of specific prophecies?” encourage them to read the Bible and to do there own research on the reliability of the Bible and of course pray for them. If they say no to the question “if Christianity were true would you become a Christian” then just keep praying for them and share the gospel with them, be careful not to continuously share the gospel every time you are with them, this can just push them away from the truth. I also encourage you to watch some Christian apologetics, these are some great apologists: Dr Frank Turek, William Lane Craig, Martyn Iles, Allen Parr, Rad Apologetics and David Wood.

If I find two Toyota Corolla car manuals. One says the car is a 4 cyl engine, and the other says its a 6 cyl engine, then the most you can say is that this car has an engine. But to get a final answer on the engine size, you need an expert to arbitrate or some absolute evidence to determine which copy was right and which was a fabrication or mistake. So who would that be? Well, ideally you would ask the original manual creator, but that guy isn't around to settle the dispute. Same with the bible. Jesus isn't able to dispute errors. True. Translators messed up. For instance. "Orge" translated as wrath, can also mean PASSION.
So now we have scripture saying, we are to be saved from God's wrath by Jesus. Whilst Jesus is God.... So Jesus saving us from Himself..... that is bs.
In stead what it should say is: we are restored back to completeness by Jesus because of God's passion!!
What lots of people (even pastors) don't (yet) understand.
God created us according to His own image and likeness. Godly.
Mankind/the first Adam fell. The image of God in man got lost. That's why there is all this predicament on earth (selfishness, greed, lust, wars, sicknesses, death, etc).
We are all born into that mess.
For the fall of man a perfect atoning sacrifice had to be made.... that is what God did in Christ.
With His own once and for all perefect sacrifice, He paid the debt for the fall of man for us, so we can be indwelled by His Spirit again and finally receive the divine life of the ages back, the first Adam let got of in the fall of man. An amazing act of grace and love by our creator.
That is what you see happening in Christ's first disciples. They too healed all and walked in unselfish love.
And yes.... that is still avaible today. The holy blood is in place, the Holy Spirit is here to give us understanding, power and transform us back to origin.
Not to be debated about, but to be embraced and be-come.
So: The Kingdom of God already came. Through Christ, in Spiritform, in those that understand.
Hence the divine healing miracles we experience.
God manifested in Christ to give us back the divine life mankind lost in the fall of Adam.
Christ, the exact image of the invisible God.
The image we were created after in Gen 1.
The image we lost in the fall of man.
The image that can be freely restored by Christ's blood and Holy Spirit working IN us.
What a plan. What a solution. What a love. What a God. Jesus is amazing.
It is the ultimate conclusion of the word and plan of God. God came full circle.
He Himself stooped down from glory to restore us back to original created value: Christlikeness. Walking in divine healing power and unselfish love.
Jesus, born of the Spirit of God, filled with the spirit of God. The "Son" of God, the incarnated word, God in the flesh.
For three years He healed all, raised the dead, casted out demons, controlled nature, spoke pure divine truth.
    He said:
"Follow Me. If you see Me, you see the Father. The Father and I are one. The glory I have IN My Father, I give to you. It pleases the Father to give you His Kingdom/Holy Spirit/divine nature. I will send Holy Spirit, the same as Me, He will be IN you, guide you into truth and give you explosive power. The same miracles i do, you will do too, because you will understand that the Father is IN Me and I am IN you. Freely I give you My Kingdom/Holy Spirit/divine nature, heal the sick, raise the dead, cast out demons, freely I give, freely share" Etc, etc, etc.
I have experienced thousands of beautifull healing miracles through the power of Holy Spirit IN me already. Broken bones, cancers, covid, all kinds of infirmities healed in seconds. Demons manifesting and casted out by a simple "get out, in Jesus name".
Jesus. De name above all names. In Him all power and wisdom is sourced and.... He calls us one with Him. God in man and man in God again. C'mon Jesus!!
So.... again: God stooped down IN Christ to restore us back to Gen 1:27 were He said: "Let us make man according to our image and likeness and let them have authority.....": walk as Christ.
Christ, the exact image of the invisible God. The image we were created after and being restored to by His atoning blood for the fall of man and indwelling Holy Spirit.
You are free to receive this original divine life of the ages by Holy Spirit of Christ/God. Ask Him to guide you into truth. Read the Gospel of John and fall in love with your creator.
You are not made for the fall of man and its effects, but for the image/glory of God and to walk like Christ. Holy Spirit is the guide and transforming power that will get you there. Amazing grace.
A big leap in faith can be made when we start realizing we are already IN Christ, IN the last Adam.
Free from the fall! Loved! Growing into awareness of our new (yet old) godly identity. Changing by Holy Spirit. The most fullfilled life ever.
Paul healed all on Malta. He understood and wrote:
"As in the first Adam ALL died (lost the divine nature), so also ALL were made alive IN Christ to walk in Zoë (= divine life) again".
"IN Christ (the last Adam) we are co-cruisified (dead to the fall and its effects), co-raised (justified/made righteousness, holy, blameless, above reproach), co-seated (one with Him)"
"The fullness of deity dwells in Christ and YOU HAVE BEEN MADE COMPLETE IN HIM, who is the head of every principality and power".
So.... thank you Jesus! Thank you for redeeming me from the fall of man. Thank you for your Holy Spirit that makes this new (yet old) divine life come alive in me. You are amazing!
In the shadow of Peter the sick healed... He understood too and wrote:
"By Gods power (Holy Spirit) and knowing Christ, we have become partakers of the divine nature and have escaped the fall of man".
The divine life of the ages has been returned to us by Jesus once and for all perfect atoning sacrifice for the debt of the fall of man and His indwelling Holy Spirit in us. Jesus/God is amazing!!!
Ask Him to give you revelation and change you to the way it was before the fall of man: Christlikeness.
He will do so. For it is written: "the Spirit brings forth after His own kind".
"I have come to give you Zoë (divine life) in abundance...."

A word of caution. Firstly, it can sometimes be impossible, simply by looking at the copies, to decide whether something was in the original, or was a later addition. An example of this is the famous ‘Father, forgive them ...’ in Luke 23:34 which is in some copies, but not others. Was this in the original, or was it a later addition? Nobody knows for sure.
Secondly, and more importantly, even if you can use multiple copies to reconstruct an ‘original’ text, you still don’t know whether this text accurately represents what was written in the first place; the ‘original’ might itself have been a copy with additions, deletions and changes. To be sure, you’d need to know a lot about how and when the early copies were made - and this knowledge is lost. Please note that I’m not an NT scholar, but I’ve learnt enough about how scholars work to realise that this video over-simplifies some real problems.

The presence of curently known textual issues (even less than 1 %) clearly shows that the bible today is not the original text. It is quite probable that more issues will be found in future. The fact of precise copies does not prove veracity of the copied text. It only means that the text was important for certain people.

Unless you were the person who actually said it you have no degree of certainty you can't trust what people did with that book just be a good person that's all you got to do, it seems like the Bible is a mixed bag it's hard to trust to trust anything people have edited and corrupted, who knows what they decided to hide.

Jesus said: He who is without sin cast the first stone.
Oh wait, did he say that? According to bible scholars, that story from Gospel of John was made up and inserted into later Bibles in the 4th century. Oops 🙊

    • @bcalvert321
      @bcalvert321 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

That is a lie. No Bible scholars say this. The Book of John was written around 80-90 A.D. The Bible we have was put together around 370 A.D. They did not accept anything written in that century.

Okay, that bit about the date of the Dead Sea Scroll's are off.
    Seriously off.
They're 1st century AD texts. Because the Jewish rebellion was in 70AD!
I agree with the general conclusion that the Bible is accurate with the original version...
But some of these historical figures are off.

      @@FRN2013 Oh, I know that!
But my point was that Everything contained in the Dead Sea Scroll's had to have been written down before 70AD or so...
Which would mean that any errors had less than 35yrs to have happened... For the New Testament texts at least.
Because Christ was only Crucified in 33-35AD, and the New Testament had to have been started after that.
In no way Is it possible, that the Dead Sea Scroll's were written down after 70AD.
So I'm at a loss for where they got the date used in the video from.
      Peace! ✌😉✝️

You are worshipping a false idea. Jesus never claimed to be god. You won't find salvation going down this road. Come to the truth: there is only one god, and Jesus was one of his mightiest messengers. He tried tell you all this and you didn't listen.
