Having thousands of variant copies is actually better than having 1 original. If we only had 1, we wouldn't know if it had been corrupted, but by having thousands of copies, we can reconstruct the original with virtually 100% assurance. There's simply no way to alter the original, either by accident or on purpose, with the amount of copies we have. You'd somehow have to corrupt thousands of scribes, over different locations, over hundreds of years.

Thank you for yiur insight! I agree! Even the Early Church apologists and bishops whose written works are still extant to us today would help us reconstruct the Original New Testament. If the New Testament had been under corruption, yes, there would have been a significant number of textual variants that would contradict each other in both message and theology.

How do you know if you're correcting them or correcting them incorrectly?
If the other parts say 8 and the other say 18 then which one is the correct one or are both correct or incorrect?
Christian will always said they are authored by man inspired by holy Ghost believing that same Holy Ghost is perfect in anyway possible. So aren't the manuscript supposed to be perfect?
How it is easier to avoid contradiction when you have 1 original manuscript at the time of Jesus and his disciples compared to hundreds of thousands of manuscripts differentiate each other after many centuries?

The more variants the merrier, so long as they are not contradictory, and support each other. There are many anti Christian cults that use the thousands of N.T. variants and manuscripts as an excuse to claim Bible corruption and question the correctness of the Bible. Unfortunately, Satan first questioned God's word in Genesis 3:1, and has continued to do so today.
Mormons have their Book of Mormon, a fairytale, with no archeological proof, so the only defense of their Bible is to question the Christian Bible, cast doubt on it, since the Book of Mormon is contradictory to the Christian Bible in multiple dozens of verses.
The Jehova Witnesses Bible, "The New World Translation" is also flakey, since the committee that translated it was flakey. Hard to argue with cults, since they will pull out an inferior bible to argue their point. Nice to know that Jesus kept His promise, and preserved His word down through the ages. Christians can be confident they are reading God's true word when they read from the Bible.

@Together we 🏳️‍🌈⃠ when the original was written, of course there was only one, and it was perfect. But if we only had that one today, anyone could simply say, I don't believe that's the original. There would be no way to prove it. We would all be left wondering if it was the original or not. What we have instead is tens of thousands of copies, and by comparing all the manuscripts, we can very confidently reconstruct the original. Imagine ig 1000 people all had the same jigsaw puzzle, but each of them were missing a few pieces. If they all got together and shared their pieces, they could easily complete the puzzle. The Bible is a lot like that. There are very, few places where we are not sure what the original said and nothing in question affects any doctrine.

It tells me that scribes were using different languages 400 years after the last prophet of the OT.
There are possibly a number of reasons for this, none of which suggest a conspiracy you appear to be inferring.
The strong influence of Rome on Israel and a new focus that went BEYOND the occult language of the Jews aiming to reach the Gentiles are two very reasonable guesses why Greek was used.

Yep, there is probably more meaning alteration by the act of translation into other languages, including English which only have one word for love while Greek has 4 with distinctly different meanings. Languages do not have exactly the same concepts and nuances, but the essential truths and values come across as long as we don't get too pedantic analysing every nuance. Also, word meanings change over time and sometimes quite a lot. like the word sensible in English, the root of which is sense as in the 4 senses. Sensible was to do with emotions, an expression of sympathy, it originally had nothing to do with the mind. In term of bible translation, that particular word is irrelevant but it serves to illustrate the point that we need to update translations. We can't just keep using outdated language translations because that leads to errors in understanding.

@@ianofliverpool7701 What's you point? He is agreeing with me that there are manuscript variants, but they don't amount to any major conflict. The underlying & unstated assumption is that biblical scholars must and do study language variants over time to ensure they are indeed understanding the meaning within historical context. Those kinds of basic principle are generally not stated in any field of study, except to 1st year students of the field. Yes, there are differences, we know there are. No they don't amount to any serious conflict. Some deliberate alterations have been found, they are known and recognised for what they are. Eg: We suspect that the closing verses of Matthew are additions. Also the phrase "captives in his train" is misquoted or altered between the OT & NT. We know about that, it doesn't change the central message of salvation in Jesus one little bit.

You have not examined your Bible carefully enough as you would see that there are some key differences in some places that could alter the way you see certain prophecies. By and large, the main translations are good but people ought to make sure they aren’t being deceived by corrupt scholars who decided to go out on their own and write a useless translation with many corrupt verses.
You’d be amazed what one word can do to a prophecy of that word changes.
The Word of God will be in our hearts, indeed God does say that but God says faith comes from hearing and hearing the word of about Christ so what will happen to your heart if you have the wrong words about Christ in it?

Like 1 john 5:7. There are also clear contradictions in the NT on how to obtain salvation. You have Paul saying dont follow the ten commandments ony have faith in crucifixion and resurrection but on the other hand you have jesus saying follow the ten commandments and you will get eternal life. @sponge6171 3 ปีที่แล้ว

@@abdulkadirhassanahmed956 In Matthew 5:17-20, Jesus is not saying that carrying out the law itself determines salvation. He is emphasizing that the law is good, but also saying how the righteousness of the law was being/going to be fulfilled/completed in Him. This rendered certain ceremonial and symbolic laws as an example no longer necessary for the Church, but general moral laws are still important for this new group of diverse people all across the nations who would soon enter the Church. The Pharisees and keepers of the law were, externally and according to their works, the most righteous anyone could get by themselves. They worshipped the law, but did not worship God. Ironic how their worship of the law became pride, the greatest thing which separates man from God, and this led to Jesus's crucifixion. Jesus is saying here that those who want to see the kingdom of heaven must be more righteous than the scribes and Pharisees. No matter how hard they tried through their own works in the law apart from God, they fell short. That's why we require Christ's grace and faith that he fulfilled the law through his righteousness and absolute, sinless perfection.
Ephesians 2:15 is saying a similar thing, abolish in it's original Greek literally meaning "render inoperative." Paul says here that the purpose of the law has been completed, its purposes being to reveal God's character to Israel, distinguish them from all the other nations, show them their sinfulness and how short they fall from God's standard of perfection, provide forgiveness through sacrifice, and other things, these purposes having been witnessed and described throughout Christ's life, death, and resurrection. The verse also details how Israel/the Church consists of both Jew and Gentile, Christ having made a peace between them and a new body being made from their peace and joining together which is the Church.
The "laws" which haven't been rendered obsolete are not just laws. These are good things, important, vital things such as not murdering, giving the the poor and needy, showing love to your neighbor and even your enemy, having patience and being slow to anger, staying humble and not boasting. These are things which only God can convict you of and bring into your heart. It is not works which earn salvation, but salvation which naturally causes one to want to do these works and share the kingdom of heaven and the character of God with others in this way. The only real meaningful decision I can make as a mere mortal man is to trust and believe in Christ and that he will use me for his greater purposes. Father, Son, Holy Spirit, these are all different faces of the one true God in order to help us understand his transcendent, infinite complexity yet immanent, personal relational desire as witnessed amongst these three "faces" of himself. He is so unimaginably big yet so incredibly close to his children. I've felt his warmth and touch.
Also the word "abolish" in Matthew 5:17-20 is different from the "abolish" in Ephesians 2:15, the one Matthew more meaning "destroy" in the original Greek and the one on Ephesians more meaning "render inoperative" as previously said. Jesus didn't destroy the law, but fulfilled it, rendering certain parts no longer necessary as previously stated, but the general important stuff is still there until heaven and earth disappear and sin has no dwelling in the new heaven and new earth.

@raeglizzie9613 Here we go with more fantasies. #1) Even if the oldest manuscript is identical to copies that exist today, that doesn't mean the words are true or that they came from God. #2) the Birmingham manuscript is ONLY ONE SHEET OF TEXT! Stop making it sound like it's the entire Quran. #3) The claim that modern Bibles differ from the ancient manuscripts is deceptive since unlike the Quran which is simply copied because it was written in Arabic and people still speak Arabic, nobody speaks Paleo Hebrew or Koine Greek, so the bible is translated into modern languages. Therefore the real issue is accuracy of translation RATHER THAN IDENTICAL COPYING, and we already have the ancient biblical manuscripts themselves and we simply create facsimiles to preserve them. (So, in reality, we do have copies and they're 100% identical to the original source)
"The Birmingham Quran manuscript is a single sheet of parchment on which two leaves of an early Quranic manuscript or muṣḥaf have been written. In 2015 the manuscript, which is held by the University of Birmingham, was radiocarbon dated to between 568 and 645 CE (in the Islamic calendar, between 56 BH and 25 AH)."
"One of the most respected Old Testament scholars, the late Gleason Archer, examined the two Isaiah scrolls found in Cave 1 and wrote, “Even though the two copies of Isaiah discovered in Qumran Cave 1 near the Dead Sea in 1947 were a thousand years earlier than the oldest dated manuscript previously known (A.D. 980), they proved to be word for word identical with our standard Hebrew Bible in more than 95 percent of the text. The five percent of variation consisted chiefly of obvious slips of the pen and variations in spelling.”
The real test in determining the trustworthiness and accuracy of the Quran in regards to the prophecies allegedly received by Mohammad, lies in examining their original transmission and codification, not the preservation of a final edit.

      5. Anas bin Malik's Account of the Collection of the Qur'an: Hadith 510
The following things are proven from Hadith 510:
There were differing versions of the Qur'an in the early years of Islam.
Uthman ordered the Qur'an compiled into one volume.
Some of the manuscripts were not in Muhammad's original tongue and needed to be translated.
Uthman ordered competing versions to be burned, indicating that there were other versions in existence at the time!
There was only one man who remembered one of the verses of the Qur'an.
      510. Narrated Anas bin Malik: Hudhaifa bin Al-Yaman came to Uthman at the time when the people of Sham and the people of Iraq were waging war to conquer Arminya and Adharbijan. Hudhaifa was afraid of their (the people of Sham and Iraq) differences in the recitation of the Quran. So he said to Uthman, "O chief of the believers! Save this nation before they differ about the Book (Quran) as Jews and the Christians did before." So Uthman sent a message to Hafsa saying, "Send us the manuscripts of the Quran so that we may compile the Quranic materials in perfect copies and return the manuscripts to you." Hafsa sent it to Uthman. Uthman then ordered Zaid bin Thabit, "Abdullah bin Az-Zubair, Said bin Al-As and Abdur Rahman bin Harith bin Hisham to rewrite the manuscripts in perfect copies. Uthman said to the three Quraishi men, "In case you disagree with Zaid bin Thabit on any point in the Quran, then write it in the dialect of Quraish as the Quran was revealed in their tongue." They did so, and when they had written many copies, Uthman returned the original manuscripts to Hafsa. Uthman sent to every Muslim province one copy of what they had copied, and ordered that all the other Quranic materials, whether written in fragmentary manuscripts or whole copies, be burnt. Zaid bin Thabit added, "A verse from Surat Ahzab was missed by me when we copied the Quran and I used to hear Allah's Apostle (SAW) reciting it. So we searched for it and found it with Khuzaima bin Thabit Al-Ansari. (That Verse was): 'Among the Believers are men who have been true in their covenant with Allah.' (33:23) Vol. 6 -Virtues of the Quran - Hadith 510
      6. Contrary to Muslim claims, some verses had not been memorized by everyone: Hadith 511
      511. Narrated Zaid bin Thabit: Abu Bakr sent for me and said "you used to write the Divine Revelations for Allah's Apostle (SAW): So you should search for (the Quran and collect) it." I started searching for the Quran till I found the last two Verses of Surat At-Tauba with Abi Khazaima Al-Ansari and I could not find these Verses with anybody other than him. (They were): 'Verily there has come unto you an Apostle (Muhammad (SAW)) from amongst yourselves. It grieves him that you should receive any injury or difficulty. . . (9:128-129) Vol. 6 -Virtues of the Quran - Hadith 511
      7. There seems to be a conflict in the claims as to when the Qur'an was collected, and there was not a generally accepted version available: Hadith 525 & 526
      525. Narrated Qatada: I asked Anas bin Malik, "Who collected the Quran at the time of the Prophet (SAW)?" He replied, "Four, all of whom were from the Ansar: Ubai bin Kab, Muadh bin Jabal, Zaid bin Thabit and Abu Zaid." Vol. 6 -Virtues of the Quran - Hadith 525
      526. Narrated Anas (bin Malik): When the prophet (SAW) died, none had collected the Quran but four persons: Abu Ad-Darda, Muadh bin Jabal, Zaid bin Thabit and Abu Zaid. We were the inheritors (of Abu Zaid) as he had no offspring. Vol. 6 -Virtues of the Quran - Hadith 526
      8. Zaid bin Thabit's Third Account of the Collection of the Qur'an: Hadith 301
The following things are proven from Hadith 301:
Caliph Uthman ordered the Qur'an compiled into one volume.
The Qur'an was not collected during Muhammad's lifetime.
Zaid had to be persuaded to do that which the Prophet had not doen.
There was only one man who remembered some of the verses of the Qur'an.
      301. Narrated Zaid bin Thabit: Abu Bakr sent for me owing to the large number of casualties in the battle of Al-Yamama, while Umar was sitting with him. Abu Bakr said (to me), "Umar has come to me and said, 'A great number of Qaris of the Holy Quran were killed on the day of the battle of Al-Yamama, and I am afraid that the casualties among the Qaris of the Quran may increase on the battle-fields whereby a large part of the Quran may be lost. Therefore I consider it advisable that you (Abu Bakr) should have the Quran collected.' I said, 'How dare I do something which Allah's Apostle (SAW) did not do?' Umar said, 'By Allah, it is something beneficial.' Umar kept on pressing me for that till Allah opened my chest for that for which He had opened the chest of Umar and I had in that matter, the same opinion as Umar had." Abu Bakr then said to me (Zaid), "You are a wise young man and we do not have any suspicion about you, and you used to write the Divine Inspiration for Allah's Apostle (SAW). So you should search for (the fragmentary script of) the Quran and collect it (in one Book)." Zaid further said: By Allah, if Abu Bakr had ordered me to shift a mountain among the mountains from one place to another it would not have been heavier for me than this ordering me to collect the Quran. Then I said (to Umar and Abu Bakr), "How can you do something which Allah's Apostle (SAW) did not do?" Abu Bakr said, "By Allah, it is something beneficial." Zaid added: So he (Abu Bakr) kept on pressing me for that until Allah opened my chest for that for which He had opened the chests of Abu Bakr and Umar, and I had in that matter, the same opinion as theirs. So I started compiling the Quran by collecting it from the leafless stalk of the date-palm tree and from the pieces of leather and hides and from the stones, and from the chests of men (who had memorized the Quran). I found the last Verses of Surat-at-Tauba: 'Verily there has come unto you an Apostle (Muhammad (SAW)) from amongst yourselves.' (9:128-129), from Khuzaima or Abi Khuzaima and I added to it the rest of the Sura. The manuscript of the Quran remained with Abu Bakr till Allah took him unto Him. Then it remained with Umar till Allah took him unto Him, and then with Hafsa bint Umar. Vol. 9 - Judgements - Hadith 301

Even Strong's Bible Concordance and Young's Bible Concordance confirms that Baal means Lord
Lord is also connected to the Roman gods Lars/Larth, Loride and Lordo plus other gods are called Lord and British Politicians are called British Lords
Plus the Creator's true name was removed from the scriptures including the Messiah's true name and it is against the scriptures to subtract and add to the scriptures this also means that we cannot change the names but man changed the Messiah's name to Jesus which comes from the root of Yeshu and Yeshu means to boot out and Obliterate the Messiah's name and Memory

I keep thinking about this whole, do he have the “original “ objection and iv basically come to see it that even if we ACTUALLY had the originals IN HAND, there would still be no way of knowing it for sure, even with carbon dating and textual criticism, this kind of investigative analysis only get us within “the year of” and thus leaves still a lot of room to posit some other original out there to be found.....
Witch leads me to my second thought, .... the only logically sound way of positing the “where are the originals” is if you yourself have positive evidence, that there ARE originals in the first place....
Why wouldn’t we ( in the modern era) only proceed forward with the OLDEST manuscript we have “AS THE ORIGINALS”.....🤷🏻‍♂️
Even if these scripts “talked” about events that happened before the scripts themselves were written...
We still can’t then assume that there are “earlier “ or originals to be found, because at some point you have to consider that the scripts are talking about events that happens in history’s...... it’s just like you going to the store last week for groceries happened in times past, therefore AN EVENT ..... at a point as you “go back “ these stories come “off the paper” and are in the mouths of people, just like 9/11 was in the mouths of people because it was an event that happened in history, so we talked about with each other after it happened and this is how the story was transmitted, and even today with TV and being able to watch the whole thing happening in real time, yet, people still have different accounts of the events that took place on 9/11....
In one thousand years from know, who’s “take” on the the things and events that transpired on 9/11 , do you think the people of that time will conclude on....? Mine or yours ?
And yet, like with Jesus, they all agree on ONE THING...... those towers.....were destroyed.
I.e ... Jesus died and he rose again.

Finally, a smart man. When people translate something they do it in a way where they can understand it the best. Each manuscripts may have different ways of spelling or added a small amount of detail of understanding for the reader. But they all point to ONE message which is Christ Jesus is Lord 🙌🏾. The message of The Gospel is literally the point of the Gospel. All the manuscripts teach the same teachings of Christ and his purpose on earth.
If one manuscript said Jesus was just a man there would be a problem. If another said he wasn’t messiah nor did he preform signs there will also be a problem. Yes, which is exactly why they didn't canonize the Gospel of Thomas, which can be interpreted as such.
You're putting the cart before the horse: the Canonical Gospels were selected from existing manuscripts because they agreed with a canonical Orthodox view when Orthodoxy happened which caused enforcing that canon by heavy persecution, the Gospels didn't cause the canonization so you can say "oh look how perfect they align"(PS: which they still don't really, Mark has a differing Christology than Matthew and Luke and was a source of adoptionist heresies). 'On Heresy' by Irenaeus is very clear on that.

You acknowledge an estimated 1% of errors are beyond different spellings? If you are content with any imperfection from a book that is supposed to be from The Perfect One (God The Creator and Beautiful Sustainer) then have it. Within the Bible there are gross and glaring imperfections that prove the Bible in it current corrupted form is no longer the word of God. God does not contradict or tell untruths. The Bible is the word of unknown anonymous men with their own agendas and opinions and imperfections. For this reason never is it said in the Bible I am God and I revealed this book - the Bible. Most Christians are only Christians because they were born that way and they don’t want to change their religion even though they know the Bible is seriously flawed. Read the the numerical contradictions in the Old Testament or the contradictory genealogies of Jesus ( peace be upon him) in Matthew and Luke. The Quran is truly from God and does not have these problems. Ask God for guidance, Read, Think and reflect if you are sincere in worshiping in truth. God bless.

Jesus is God ✝️: Answering Muslims ❤️
According to the Qur’an only Allah can forgive sins, but in (Luke 5:20) Jesus forgives sins.

The Qur’an says only Allah is the ‘first and the last’ Jesus says that he is the first and the last in (Revelation 1:17-18).

The Quran says only Allah will Judge mankind and allow people into Heaven, Jesus says that he will Judge the World and allow people into Heaven and Send people to Hell. (Matthew 25:31-46)

The Quran says only Allah can raise the dead and only Allah will raise the Dead on Judgment day. Jesus raises Lazarus from the Dead (John 11:38-44) and Jesus says he will Raise himself up from the Dead on the Third Day in (John 2:19-21) and Jesus said that he will Raise the Dead on Judgement day (John 6:39)

There are so many other examples, that show that Jesus is God. When someone can do only what God can do. We can assume that this person is more than just a man/teacher. But God in the flesh. God bless.

Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. (Jesus Christ, Son of God) (Mark 13:31)
The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. (Psalms 12:6-7)
Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar. (Proverbs 30:5-6)

"Nor take life -- which Allah has made sacred -- except for just cause. And if anyone is slain wrongfully, we have given his heir authority (to demand retaliation or to forgive): but let him not exceed bounds in the matter of taking life, for he is helped (by the Law)." [Quran 17:33
"I heard the Messenger of Allah [SAW] say: 'It is not permissible to shed the blood of a Muslim except in three cases: A man who commits adultery after having married; or one who kills another person, who is to be killed; or who reverts to Kufr after having accepted Islam, who is to be killed.'" The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: 'Whoever changes his religion, kill him.'" Sunan an nassai’i 4059
"That the Prophet [SAW] sent him to Yemen, then he sent Mu'adh bin Jabal after that. When he arrived he said: 'O people, I am the envoy of the Messenger of Allah [SAW] to you.' Abu Musa gave him a cushion to sit down, then a man was brought who had been a Jew, then he became a Muslim, then he reverted to Kufr. Mu'adh said: 'I will not sit down until he is killed; this is the decree of Allah and His Messenger,' (saying it) three times. When he was killed, he sat down." Sunan an-Nasa'i 4066
Why in Islam is it okay to kill non Muslims? I’m sure Muslims will just claim this verse is false or it translate different in Arabic. I got this from a Muslim website, if it was false then why would they have it and if it translate different in Arabic why would they use these words to translate it to English?

    • @fiddah

We can’t kill any random non Muslim.
Only a just Muslim ruler in a country ruled according to the Islamic law is allowed to kill a person who was Muslim but left Islam, but that is the last step to be done only after certain steps are taken and after certain conditions such as after explaining to the person that what he did is wrong and explaining about Islam to him and giving him certain time to think and asking him to repent and asking him if he has any doubts and replying to his questions, if he continues to reject Islam then this punishment is to be applied. If the person repents then he is not to be killed.
Many people with evil intentions might accept Islam and then leave Islam and certain ignorant people may be affected by it.
If a person was Muslim before it means they know THE TRUTH.
A person who knows THE TRUTH must not reject it.
It is a reminder to the person that not only will they receive the punishment in the life of the hereafter but also in the life of the world if they abandon THE TRUE Path.
This will act as deterrent for that individual.
Do you know there are plenty of non Muslims living in KSA and UAE?
Ever spoke to them about their experiences?
      Do not lie about Islam.
We are supposed to invite people to Islam with gentleness.

According to Quran Jesus Issa received a revelation a book to preach monotheism but after 3 decades it shifted to trinity by greek Christians who were affected by idol worships & the doctrine was established thats what history tells us
The original message was lost it is not what you have now
It has been altered through different methods ex translations fabrication which has been proven by Christian scholars
We as muslims believe the bible still has some truth we verified it by matching it with the only unchanged & preserved book that has also been passed generations upon generations orally memorized
So we have 2 routes for preservation oral & text which match as a matter of fact UK Brigham has the oldest copy of Quran which dates back to the prophets peace be upon him
We simply want the truth we muslims are commanded to think & ponder for ex. In science quran is accurate with what scientists consider as facts from medical cosmological architecture geographical but unfortunately the same cannot be said about the bible
One example quran mentions that sun is shine of light while moon is a reflection of that light to know the days of the year & month yunus verse 5
Bible Matthew 24:29 moon doesn't shall not give light meaning doesn't reflect
Isaiah 13:10 -Isaiah 30:26 moon reflects
You can check it your self
I hope that answers your question

I’m no bible expert. However, your sarcasm aside, no, Jesus preached God’s words. And these four authors which includes Jesus’s disciples wrote those gospels after Jesus’s death & resurrection. There’s no necessity to put down another person’s beliefs or religion. And if a religion is taught to do so, or if people put other religions down by trying convince people that their religion is superior, I see no point of having those “beliefs”.
To summarize all Jesus the son of God sent to Earth by heavenly father taught love and forgiveness. If that’s hard to digest just practice love, and forgiveness and put all the rules and laws aside.

What a truly bizarre argument. Essentially, this creator is claiming that, because no one has original manuscripts, and every copy disagrees and contradicts every other copy, this means we know what the originals said and meant. Welcome to Bizarro World.
Rational adults would say that if we have original manuscripts, and these without doubt, then and only then do we know what the originals said. In the case of the new testament, the first complete copy comes from the 4th century CE. So, in 200+ years, no one has any idea what was changed, added, or omitted. And since the entire new testament was written between 20 (Paul's legitimate letters) to nearly 100 years after the events described, we also have no idea how much those descriptions were altered, added, to, removed from, or simply made up in the oral tradition. Not a word of the new testament is, or claims to be, eyewitness testimony; it is all, at best, third or fourth or later retelling. Not exactly convincing evidence for any purpose to begin with.
I know exactly, precisely what the text of Mein Kampf said - I have a first edition of the book in my hand. The best that biblical believers has is a hundreds of years old, admittedly inaccurate and altered, written record of decades old claims. This is a pathetic and bizarre thing to base one's entire life on.

These 47 translators feared God, and they trusted God instead of themselves.
They prayed a ton and did not rush with their work thus the process took many years.
Each of the translators checked and double checked and even triple checked each other's work.
The evil known as the Jesuits even tried to sabotage the process in 1605 by sending guy fawkes to blow up parliament in order stop the translation. Of course God's word prevailed.

You know, a few things that always baffles me is... After thousands of years, Christianity is still here. So many non believers say that Christianity is “built on the sand”. Mhhh, then how is it still the most prominent religion after 2000 years? Pretty strong sand if you ask me. Another thing is why did it even become so big? If a religion exploded into something as huge as it is today, there’s probably a reason why. A few people believed in Jesus, and there were a lot of non believers. And then everyone believed in it out of nowhere. Why? Why did Saul of Taurus who killed Christians became Paul, one of the greatest apostles proclaiming that Jesus in the son of God? Maybe because it actually happened. There’s a whole other thing with the embarrassment of the Bible. Everything written was embarrassing to whom wrote it. They all said they were dull and didn’t understand Jesus’ teachings, that the disbelieved Him, that women found the tomb (who would not be considered reliable sources) why would they say they found the tomb empty? It all makes them look weak and stupid. Listen if you’re trying to kickstart a religion, you aren’t going to put that you denied the main person of your religion in there. It’s all too humbling. Even if we don’t have the original manuscripts. Even if the copies are off. The conclusion is the same in all the copies. If I say “break a leg” and “good luck”. Guess what. You know what they both mean. The actual wordage might be off, but the message is the exact same. The stories maybe have a ton of little contractions and mistakes. But it doesn’t change the story. It’s just dumb to deny it. Even Islam recognizes Jesus for what He did. They just said he wasn’t the son of God. But they still said He performed miracles and did all the miraculous things that it said He did in the Bible. Why? Because it’s true. It just is. All these religions are centered around Jesus Christ. It’s a fact.

St. Paul even says in two of his letters “I have no command from the Lord, but this is my opinion” & “I am writing to you with a human argument, not as the Lord speaks”*

False comparison, you're first using children, these were not children, secondly you're applying the same level of severity between both subjects with a broad stroke when that's just obviously wrong to assume, and thirdly, you have multiple attestations of gospel early on, the 12 disciples and other followers, that have their own recorded observations of the events when they occurred. It's not one to one to one, it's more like 12 sources then out to 200 sources, and so forth, and all of them can and will connect back to one another through rigorous scrutiny. The comparison of a telephone game to the gospels is just an elementary counterargument to make, and easily disproven.

God bless.

We trust the Bible because it is backed up by over 1.6 million early manuscripts which make up a combined 25.000 ancient complete copies plus thousands of writings about them from the early church fathers nothing to do with blind trust.

@@ianofliverpool7701 I trust people wrote things and other people copied those things and other people copied those copies, etc., etc., and translated those copies of copies and along the way things changed. Have you ever read poetry that was originally not in English but has been translated? Sometimes the translated poetry still rhymes. Just imagine how much the translator changed those poems to make the English translation still rhyme. The man said, the differences are small that they don’t affect doctrine. So Jesus is still God.

God bless.
