Thank for showing us Leicester we lived in Earl Shilton and I worked in Leicester it was great to see all the city , especially because we now live in New Zealand thank again
I watched the whole production. Fantastic.no words worthy. You are back cruising and mixing with home life and off boat ventures. This is TV quality ! Love from Texas, I wish Stoke-on-Trent would understand, just took at Leicester !
How idyllic these scenes are! From the “eyes in the sky” absolutely gorgeous! Gotta love drones!! New to your channel. I’m from Texas. Mother was from Hertfordshire, village of Stanstead Abbotts. Lovely seeing more of England. Been 17 years since I last visited.
Hi Fran Rich,so nice to see you both, wear was it with all them carnival boats it look so good ,great drone shots Rich ,the breakfast looks nice not sure about the colour but the finished product looks delicious and was it ?,Leicester is a beautiful city lots of history, lot of vegetation in the canal, lots of beautiful scenery on the way beautiful canal all round, thanks for the ride it really felt like I was with you ,can but wish ,till next time take care keep safe,John 👏👏🇬🇧👀🌹🌹🥂🥂👨🍳💕💕
I watched one of your videos and was so impressed I went to your home page and started at episode 1. So nice of you to number your videos. TH-cam does not make it easy to follow, the episode number generally does not show up in the title as they are too long. But you can mouse over to read the full title but you still have to find the next episode. Easy enough from your home page. Love your new boat. The story was a great pleasure to follow. Just a note to say I followed & liked each video as I went along (helps to remember which videos you already watched). So your still getting some credit for your older videos. Through your videos I have found that TH-cam requires all narrow boaters to stream. I did watch a few of the others (& a few from France), yours are the best. You are very good at making videos. Thanks for the videos, took quite a while to watch them all & they were great.
Thank you so much Frank. To make it easier we do have a playlist of videos in date order on our home page. You have done so well too watch all of them especially the early ones which we know were not very good quality x
Very late comment here: passed through Leicester last week from (September 2022) the Soar to the Grand Union Leicester Line as part of a two week cruise of the Leicester ring with friends in their boat. Thanks to your recommendation we found Tamatanga and hugely enjoyed our meal there. Very much to be recommended! Oh, and the Soar, going up river from Trent Lock, was stunningly beautiful.
Oh, now you have made my mouth water. So glad you enjoyed Tamatanga. We do have curry tonight, but it won't be as good as that. Hope you had a wonderful cruise.
Thank you so much for taking me on another one of your beautiful and peaceful journeys. I have lived in Canada now for many years and love it but your videos keep me connected to my roots and "home". I look foreword to each and every one. You are genuinely such pleasant and kind souls. I have learned so much from you so please stay with us....you are greatly appreciated. Love and best wishes from across the pond.
I have been following you guys almost from the beginning. Now you are so professional. I am currently living in the Philippines but always get homesick watching. A few years back I hired a narrow boat for a week, and had a great time. Keep up the good work.
Hi only just started too watch your videos they are amazing. Anyway I have subscribed and need to watch so many others to catch up 🙂 Just wanted to say you are a lovely couple and watching you cruise around is so chilling that I seem to get nothing done other than pour a glass of wine and enjoy your company. Well done the video's are great you both are great and thank you for sharing your amazing life. Cheers 🍷xx
Good morning, not sure how I'm stumbled across your video but I am sure happy I did. I am a new subscriber. This was amazing and so beautiful. I have passed through Leister on the tube a few times yet had no idea how beautiful it was. I miss this beautiful green county. I know without a doubt the next time I visit, I will make a bigger point on spending more time in the countryside rather than spending so much time in London. I love London but it's crazy busy and I long for the pretty, quiet, lively green parts of this magical place. Enjoy your journey and I look forward to watching many more of your travels across Europe. Be well new friends, from across the big drink in Utah, USA. Cheers
We are in the Copper Valley in Alaska and have the exact opposite weather! We have had three rounds of snow that looks like it’s here to stay and temps as low as 12F! Probably a month early for us. No fun digging potatoes in the snow. I enjoy your vlog as a change of perspective!
Great bfast idea.... the blackberry season down our way was very low this year however rosehips are on mass!! Trying out a rosehip jam recipe next week!!! Xx
Hi both, Another great vlog and this one's about my 'home' city - I'm actually on the South side not a million miles from Kilby Bridge. Finally got to hire a narrowboat (on there at the moment) and on our first full day, we had a serendipitous sighting your old home "constanza', moored on a tight corner on the Ashby but we managed to navigate by without hitting it! Whilst not a common name, I spoke to the guy in the well deck as we went by and he confirmed this was THE Constanza, still looking in good shape - thought you might like to know. Anyway, looks heavy rain and wind for us today but, unfortunately, we have to move :-( Looking forward to the next vlog. Cheers, Martin
Hi Martin. Thank you so much for your message. Lovely to hear Constanze is out cruising. The Ashby is where we had our maiden voyage so she should feel at home. The poor new owner must be sick of hearing about us! Hope you have a wonderful cruise. The rain has stopped here and the skies are blue so hopefully they are heading your way. xx
Great choice of music, Rich. I discover lots of great music through your videos. Loved all the shots of running water, cold beer and yummy breakfast. This was a feast for the senses, TY!
I emigrated to Australia in my 20's but whenever i have visited in the summer as in July Aug it has always rained but last time I came it was September and the weather was glorious. That even extended to Ireland where in a week we only had one day of rain. So in my book September is a great month for weather!
I just read about the Cheese onion naps at the pub in Leicester. That brought back my memory of a fabulous breakfasty bap I ate for lunch in Grassmere in October 2014 while on my lovely tour of England and Scotland with a sweetheart friend. Now back to your welcoming and beautiful vlog. , Before I go, seeing that Indian food made me remember where the great gusto of the fabulous Indian food we ate out in Sheffield UK with our friends who live there as we were there on vacation in October, 2017. Oh, my! To be able to come back and visit friends would be like eating another great Indian meal and/or breakfasty bap! Satisfying!
Another great vlog. Yes, the pandemic is and was horrible, but we would never have met and enjoyed you two and other NBs. If it wasn't for health, we would love to meet you in a pub for dinner, not Indian, lol.
A delightful presentation of Leicester and the river Soar. Fran inspires new breakfast options and looks gorgeous in a sundress in September. Rich never ceases to amaze with how he films the canal and selects music. You are soulful folks. Thank-you for a reminder of what is real and true about life.
Thank you so much Kelli. Sundress all packed away now and back into a jumper by the fire. Hot oats instead of cold for breakfast. How things change in just a week
Sod the lettuce leaves, just eat curry! Leicester is my home city live just down the river, never tried that curry house, will have to give it a try, nice vlog.
What a brilliant couple you guys are, your love for each other and the beautiful world around you jumps out from the screen. Thank you for the journey.

What a nice happy show. Rich, did you change your color settings in post? The color looks crisper and brighter than I remember, but then I"m on a different computer. Well, there you go. Is it really possible to have "too many" blackberries? How about blackberry pancakes? Now there's an idea. Can't wait for your next adventure. Cheers.
Hi Fran & Rich. Lovely to meet you tonight in the Wharf Inn. (Not saying which one of course!) Hope all is well with the new boat. Thanks for your vlogs. Fran, we are looking to make rosehip syrup soon, but apparently need to wait til after the first frost ? All the best Steve and Barbs

Yet again, another lovely vlog.
That breakfast delight looked scrumptious, as did that moorish-looking curry platter. Take care, the both of you.

I think your computer may be the answer as we haven't changed anything. Blackberry pancakes sound lovely. Added to the list of things to try
Love the colour so natural and looks fresh beautiful wild berries! yum BTW did you get a doggie bag for the leftovers of curry and narn??? 😋
I don't think we left any it was too delicious

This was so enjoyable. Thank you. Beautiful scenery. You have such happy dogs. The water at the start of your vlog looked a bit scary. Fab cruise.
