It has been almost 30 days since my status changed to "Received Documents Awaiting Verification". But still my University claims they have not received any such request from WES. Hey Congrats on your successful application !! You are not a supporter of consultants and lawyers but have you considered the opportunity cost of completing the application yourself ? Time is money my friend and trying to figure out the whole immigration process and all the small little details is not to be taken lightly for the average joe. With that being said I think using a consultant or lawyer can benefit most people in achieving their immigration goal with less headaches and more peace of mind. While it may cost a few dollars in the end wouldn’t you want to assure yourself that your time is not being wasted and you can begin your life sooner rather than later with potential delays with mistakes and inefficiencies in your application ?

I guess your thoughts against consultants and lawyers may stem from dealing with ghost consultants giving you bad advice. I am also not a fan of these ghost consultants who practise and give bad advice without being regulated by ICCRC. After studying all the different streams of immigration and the many legislations that can be involved in the processes, it can be quite a tedious and tricky process for the average joe. There are fine details involved in the immigration process which if they are overlooked can lead to a negative decision, delays or even misrepresentation which could lead to a 5 year ban to reapplying just for an honest mistake in paperwork. Now I’m not saying a person should not apply without a consultant or a lawyer, they surely can. My point is finding a good honest consultant or lawyer could really help many many people who are not as smart and patient as you might be mr Satanshu. Finally, while an every day joe could build a house after watching a TH-cam video or reading a book or two, my point is would it be better to hire an expert due to the opportunity cost involved not to mention taking advantage of the time and experience a consultant may have that could actually benefit your case in many different ways?

You can go back to travel to India but you should be living in canada to sponsor, that’s one eligibility requirement.
