  • How The Japanese Grow Billions Of Shiitake Mushrooms In The Forest - Shiitake Mushroom Harvesting
If growing mushrooms indoors, the logs are stacked on racks to avoid contact with the ground and ensure hygiene. The process of growing mushrooms can take from a few months to a year or more depending on the type of mushroom you want to grow.
During the mushroom growing process, it is necessary to regularly check and protect the logs against diseases or pests. When the mushrooms grow large enough, they will begin to grow caps and are ready to be harvested.
Thus, the process of growing mushrooms by drilling small holes into the wood to implant mushroom embryos is a process that requires attention and high technique. However, if done properly and with the right conditions for fungal growth, this process can be successful and effective.

I liked this video and love mushrooms which can be expensive here in the UK. My mother was German and took me on mushroom hunting trips ... I also lived in France where they ate a wide variety of forest mushrooms. Nothing like the taste of fresh mushrooms !

Modern agriculture has also led to the development of new crops that are more resistant to disease and pests, allowing farmers to grow crops in regions that were previously unsuitable for agriculture.
