There's a guy on eBay selling a 1-oz proof gold eagle which is actually a copy and the bid is up to 1875, I told him the coin is a copy and he advertises it as a replica and he shows the picture of the back of the coin that says copy on it, yet people still bid up to 1900 with four days to go, you can look at it right now. I told the guy to take it down, he can get in very big trouble for doing that, even though he advertised the coin as a replica
A digital caliper is another inexpensive tool to measure the exact mm dimensions of the coin. Fakes can be wider or thicker than real coins. Good stuff!
Why do fakes tend to have prooflike finishes? It is actually harder to make BU coins or are they trying to pass them off as proofs for extra collector value?
Instantly was able to tell the fake and real Krugerrand. Real gold Krugerrands have a slight pink tint to them because of the amount of copper in the coin.
YES!!!! I ordered a 2015 1-troy-oz. China Gold Panda from eBay way back in November 2015 (this would be China's final year of that troy weight unit!): 1. NO magnet stick. ✅ 2. Weighs in at 31.13 grams, THIS IS GOOD. ✅ BONUS: it measures 32-33mm across... ✅! :)
You may have known that coin was fake but sometimes you have to move it around a bit on the sigma...depending on airtight and relief Good video, it's important to raise awareness 💚
Thank you for your video! I have two RMC 1 Troy OZ fine gold bars, but now I can see 4 or 5 small dark spots on their surfaces. Some posts said it's normal but they are 9999. I suspect that's lie since my 18k gold ring never had such spots. Can you give me some insights? Thanks again.
For weight in Grams, if i have multiple various yrs or the Australian Kangaroo 1oz coins is it common or possible that they vary in weight by .01 and .02 from one another and still be legit. Thanks for your content, it has been very informative and entertaining.....been following for yrs
Way back in the 18th hundreds some counterfeiters issued a gold plated platinum British Gold Sovereign - it it highly collectible today and costs a fortune 🙂

I have a question if gold is non-magnetic then how does a metal detector pick it up

should be able to get the volume and in combination with the weight test would have to be one of the better fakes.
Good first defence here
@@SilverDragons47 oh yes- true!! 🐲🧠

magnet test dosent mean much just that its alloyed/plated onto a material such as iron which is magnetic
Can the Sigma Metanalytics verify silver too?

Thank you. Great video! Beautiful coins 🪙 Thank you for sharing this with us.
Hay Mr Dragon. Does the silver kookaburra make a strange noise or a different ring that silver eagles
A ping test is also good and cheap.

My gold bar barely sticks to the strongest magnet i ever bought but with regular magnets they don't stick
Does this work on silver too?

Yeah I noticed that in different years of Britannias
Hey, what's the likelihood of s d bullion passing a fake
I was nervous buying from nationwide coin. I brought the AGE to local coin who performed the sigma test and said it’s legit?
If you are not confident in your own skills or the skills of your local coin store buy from APMEX they are the best most trusted seller online.
@Silver Dragon scammer
But tungsten is magnetic
Wow nice ❤❤❤
Great info
Thanks, this was reassuring
If every person in China just bought 1oz of silver a year they would consume the entire annual global supply...?
so far there has been 464M ounces mined this year 🔥🐉
@@SilverDragons47 that sounds like a lot
@@StrongFreeLovin Yeah, and there is 6.4 Billion ounces in the above ground inventories 🙂
