U.N. rebukes only Israel for violating women’s rights

- Indonesia, Libya, Nigeria, Russia, and Zimbabwe were among members of the UN’s 54-nation Economic and Social Council, a principal organ of the world body, who voted on July 22, 2022, to single out Israel as the only country in the world to be rebuked by the council this year for allegedly violating women’s rights.

In the past, it was obvious that many countries would support resolutions like this due to choosing to be on the side of the Arabs and OPEC nations instead of small Israel. But after the progress on peace in the last few years, especially the Abraham Accords and normalization with many Arab states, one can only understand that the continued one-sided anti-Israel resolutions while ignoring countries which literally violate women's human rights and suppress women in general, is clearly anti-semitic.

All this despite the Israeli delegate detailing the women’s rights issues which occur within Palestinian society (and many Muslim countries) which are the root causes of discrimination against women. And of course they ignored Afghanistan, where female citizens cannot even attend schooling after 12 years of age! I am sure Muslim countries wield significant influence and power in such Israel- bashing activities. It deflects from their own major social ills, in which women’s rights are defective in the majority of Muslim countries. All the best to the Iranian people who have actually stood up en masse to their corrupt and women biased government.

The United States should end military aid to Israel...
1. Israel can pay for its own military. Israel has a strong economy, an excellent international credit rating, and runs frequent budget surplus. Israel ran an annual surplus of more than a billion dollars six out of the last ten years.
2. Military aid to Israel is a security risk. Israel is a major supplier of military technology to China. These sales have been instrumental in the modernization of the Chinese military. Israel developed the Lavi fighter from American technology with 1.5 billion in American subsidies. Israel sold the Lavi fighter to China. It is now called the J-10 and is the mainstay of the Chinese Air Force. Israel has also sold China missile guidance systems,, advanced radar systems and targeting systems.
3. Israel is a diplomatic liability.
4. Military aid to Israel is illegal under the Leahy Law because of Israel's human rights violations. Any aid to Israel is illegal under the Symington amendment which prohibits aid to nations with nuclear weapons that have not signed the nuclear non-proliferation treaty and do not permit inspections of their nuclear sites,,,
Usa should stop funding biological weapons labs in ukraine and china. And when talking about selling weaponry to foreign countries i really don't think the usa should be throwing stones when living in a glass house...
