Honestly, I always sensed that he was a bit envious of her success during 2003/2004, during this era! You can tell by some of the subtle facial expressions he made during their shows. They were a breathtakingly physically beautiful couple, but boy did Nick's ego couldn't get over the fact that she was bigger than him during that time!

I read the article nick did shortly after the divorce & it makes me choke back tears. Its crazy how emotionally involved you can get just by watching the show. I truly believe nick loved jessica with his whole life. I also think jessica knew that and still does. I think Jessica now realizes what she really had in nick.
I thought they were cute, but I recently went back and watched Newlyweds. I was originally 17 when it aired and now I’m 35. Watching it now was totally different than it was watching it when I was younger. I see Nick appeared to be very annoyed with her at times. I can't get over the episode of music video shooting on Newlyweds. Jess kept whinging throughout of it. Nick was there and assisted her as much as he could. I'm always amazed by his work ethics. He works really hard when he is given opportunities. People say Nick was jealous but look how much he helped Jess to be successful. Jess got to spend over 170k for this video and she still managed to behave ungrateful. She wouldn't have been where she is today without Nick.
