I'm sorry for your loss, I almost lost my sister last year, she had cancer but she recovered. I understand your pain and I am praying for you and your family😘💗💙🤍🤍🤍🤍
I first heard this song when I was 16 and in a psychiatric hospital for anorexia. It was autumn when I was finally released from the hospital and this song reminds me of falling leaves and Halloween and finally being on the road to recovery.

This song is like a time machine for those bittersweet teenage years. We tragically lost Steve on 110804. My heart has never been the same without him.

I was there as a senior in high school. This was one of those songs you weren't allowed to like if you were emo/scene. This was lame, but you secretly liked it. So one time at a drunk party someone had this cd and we all screamed this song in a circle. And I remember thinking... okay so these hardcore emo's with their chopped haircuts, sewn in jeans, they secretly like this song too? In 2005, I was a 1980s emo, the Smiths, the cure, and Bjork obsessed. But now this Ashlee Simpson song is one of my most precious favorites and I play it on the guitar for friends now.
this song is 15 years old... WHAT THE ACTUAL???? it was a super guilty pleasure when it came out back then, lol, i said I hated it but I secretly loved this song hahaha
Now 16 years. Yeah, times flies. This video brings me back to my early 20s when this was the style of dress (Well, for men how her band is dressed). I miss the more casual look.
@@ravemichaelleviste9396 yes, lip sync on Saturday night live. It was very controversial at the time. Even though she did it because she had lost her voice.
When I was at Euclid Central Middle School, early mornings we would have study hall and they would play this song before the teen newsweek news would play... They tore down my old middle school but this makes the memories fresh and its been almost 20 years! R.I.P Judon! R.I.P EUCLID CENTRAL MIDDLE SCHOOL! #PiecesOfMe

This song will always be a bop. She killed this hook. Brings me back for real. This song and LaLa were my faves by her

On a Monday, I am waiting
Tuesday, I am fading
And by Wednesday, I can't sleep
Then the phone rings, I hear you
And the darkness is a clear view
'Cause you've come to rescue me
Fall, with you I fall so fast
I can hardly catch my breath
I hope it lasts
Oh, it seems like I can finally
Rest my head on something real
I like the way that feels
Oh, it's as if you know me better
Than I ever knew myself
I love how you can tell
All the pieces, pieces, pieces of me
All the pieces, pieces, pieces of me
I am moody and messy
I get restless and it's senseless
How you never seem to care
When I'm angry, you listen
Make me happy, it's your mission
And you won't stop 'til I'm there
Fall, sometimes I fall so fast
When I hit that bottom crash
You're all I have
Oh, it seems like I can finally
Rest my head on something real
I like the way that feels
Oh, it's as if you know me better
Than I ever knew myself
I love how you can tell
All the pieces, pieces, pieces of me
How do you know?
Everything I'm about to say
Am I that obvious?
And if it's written on my face
I hope it never goes away
Yeah
On a Monday, I am waiting
And by Tuesday, I am fading
Into your arms
So I can breathe
Oh, it seems like I can finally
Rest my head on something real
I like the way that feels
Oh, it's as if you know me better
Than I ever knew myself
I love how you can tell
Oh, I love how you can tell
Oh, I love how you can tell
All the pieces, pieces, pieces of me
All the pieces, pieces, pieces of me
these lyrics are actually so pretty 💜🥲
every teenager's anthem in 2000s
Dec 25, 2020
Merry Christmas!
I’m a big proponent of vocal performance. I love how she puts her whole self into that “ohh”.
I remember being like 10 or 11 watching her reality TV show lol. I used to really like Ashlee tbh.
same here haha
lol I was thinking the same thing I remember the reality show on and the episode they made this video on

You cannot replace a song like this
look up 'Pieces of Me' Go-Go Cover by Rare Essence way
better
Thats what im screaming
Metaphysical Mike Or Tangled Up in Me; I'm the girl who's kicking the coke machine...."
Thats why she played it twice on SNL
Sure you can. I do it every time it comes on and I hear that annoying voice. If you dont have arms or legs it would be tough to replace though.
Wow, it kind of makes me sad listening to all these early 2000s pop songs. Time flies and things change, takes me back with gems like this. 👌🏻
Enjoy every moment u get not promised
WHERE ARE ALL THE DUDES AT WHO SECRETLY LIKE THIS SONG BUT WON'T TELL ANYONE?
Here is one more 😁👍...
Absoulutly great Pop Song 😊

Quit repeating the same shit over and over again.
PIECES OF ME WAS EVERYTHING
Can’t believe this song is turning 20 years old this year. A year from now, the song is old enough to legally vote. Crazy!😮
This song is 20 years old. I love it.
this song is 15 years old...
I miss the more casual look.
same here hahaha
Me gusta leer los comentarios y ver que hay gente que siente lo mismo que yo al escuchar estos temas y recordar buenas epocas
2000's come back to me when this song comes up
This song stays in my brain, rent free... Such a timeless song! 😊
2004 was a good year for music.
Regina George it really was
The best actually!
Regina George 。
Regina George seriously. 2004 was amazing for music.
in the zone born baby
I loved her style her and raspy voice. I hate how harsh they were with her. She has talent.
lip sync dilemma i think
@@ravemichaelleviste9396 yes, lip sync on Saturday night live. It was very controversial at the time. Even though she did it because she had lost her voice.
She is extremely underrated!!!
#PiecesOfMe
This album was amazing. I kinda miss her.
yeah same
me too
Paúl Rivas González o
Lip singer
Probably played this song a thousand times on my ipod since 2009. It's the kind of song you'll never get tired of listening
My mom used to play this song every day when driving me to preschool, I’m now 23 and spent almost a year trying to figure out what song it was I heard. I finally found it.
I saw on Tiktok a video talking about this song that had a problem on SNL. I hope Ashley can be seen by media and society with her beautiful songs.
I was in the sixth grade when this song came out. This is bringing back some seriously weird memories...
same here
+Addy C: I was very little. like 8 or 9.
How long ago? Like how many years?
