I try for my husband. I clean, make his lunch, stay home and care for our 11 month old...He works, makes dinner, gets our daughter ready for bed...etc.
Niki Gounaris please learn to cook for him and the kids!!! He won't always be able to do it and he is the sole bread winner! You are home all day...so unfair to the man
Flore Edith I know how to cook. We take our own roles. I'm chasing around an 11 month old all day. Don't act like you know everything. She s still on formula and baby food. Also, my husband is not God's gift to earth. He can cook dinner. It won't kill him. I could be the bread winner, but being home with my child is more important.
"Nick wanted me to become more of a woman before he proposed to me..." No, he wanted you to become more like his mother cause he's an immature, bratty, mama's boy.
When you have a woman that's doesn't have much experience in regards to household stuff like cooking ect. you have to be patient with her and still remind her that she's your #1 babes even when the food tastes crappy.I went through it and now my wife is a BOSS in the kitchen and still super fine after 17yrs.
I think you're right. A lot of what your saying makes sense. Its very good to be patient, understanding, and encouraging when someone is still trying to learn how to do different things. It helps make things go along more smoothly.
What your saying makes sense too. But a little encouragement along the way doesnt hurt. If you make someone feel like they can do something then sometimes their abilities in it can get better and they begin to feel more confident in themself. Patience is also important and understanding.
Dominique Mcclaney Yeah it really does depend on the effort the person puts into learning certain things. You can't change a person who doesn't wanna change so yeah lol.
+sweetiepie9411 That is true too. But once the person wants to change and wants to learn then what I said and what the other guy says can come into play. If the person doesnt want to change or learn then nothing can be done.
Kailee Garcia I get what you’re saying, but at the same time he was annoyed that she doesn’t have her shit together. He’s a lot more responsible, self-sufficient, & levelheaded than her, & it’s really aggravating being with such a ditz who isn’t capable of doing basic things like grocery shopping & laundry
he wasnt kind to her, or senstive. he was highly immature for a married man. very arrogant the way he walked around the house, he mocked her alot. put her down. you could tell she was kind of intimadated of him. always a beer in his hand. full of himself.
Jessica was the one bringing home the bacon. Nick should have been the home maker based off his own stupid standards. Jessica Simpson is now a billionaire.
Before I got married, my husband and I had a conversation about marriage. I told him I’m scared to be a wife because I don’t know much. I remember him being a sweetheart and telling that it’s okay and that he will help me and teach me. And guess what? He would cook with me and do things with me. I can now pretty much do anything as a wife. I’m happy that my husband was so loving and understanding towards me. So as I watch this show, it’s really disappointing to see that he’s not much of a help. Marriage is about being a team and making compromises for each other!
You sound very brain washed? When you marry someone you should marry them for who they are and not for the things you can do for them. Being a wife is not a job
He's totally helping! He took care of basically everything else in the house! She was the one that wanted to cook alone for him. In every other episode he's maintaining the property, planning trips, keeping her organized. Her parents spoiled her (by her own admission) which is why she doesn't know how to do anything so I can't really blame her either.
THAT IS AMAZING! :) I really wish that they would have done that with the show. That is truly what a romantic dinner is...not the man yelling at his wife and not giving her a chance! Absolutely agree with you Kristina!
Okay, so let me get this straight... She brings home the money - he controls the finances She's the reason they have this show... She's expected to be the bread winner + a 50's housewife? What exactly is your role, Nick?
None of your business. It's called a show, most of the stuff is set up. She chose to marry him because she loved him obviously. He doesn't have to be the bread winner. Showbiz is not easy and it's a gamble. His voice was better than hers anyway but she had more fame. Just the way it is.
RhodieM623 your point? He was the bread winner. When they got married she and her father vetoed the pre-nup. In the end she acquired more so she had to pay him. Y’all are stupid as fuck.
Spice99857 You're right. I think I was just frustrated with the innate amount of feminist nonsense in these comments. I should correct it to, "These commenters are cunts."
That "Nick wanted me to be more of a woman" comment drives me up a wall. Like she's any less of a woman if she doesn't cook and clean. He seems like such a misogynist looking back.
I'm listening to her book (2021) and it's sad how, behind the scenes, there was so much toxicity. I canNOT stand her father...severely narcissistic/selfish. I'm glad she's in a good place - happily sober with a beautiful family and lots of LOVE!
Watching these it just doesn't make sense why nick even married her. He wanted a housewife, a wife that was domesticated and would do everything for him. He knew she was younger, spoiled, and knew essentially nothing about doing things herself. He expected her to change that first year of marriage and never gave her time to grow.
Yea I agree, after watching this now how he's pathetic. But she is now worth 150 million and he's only worth 20 million. So she didn't need that dude for shit!!
That's what you got from this vid?! HE literally does everything. She doesn't, she said so herself on an interview. Her parents should have at least taught her the basics so she can survive on her own. Knowing how to cook doesn't make you a housewife. Learning life skills is a GOOD thing! lol...
He wasn't a grown man he was a punk kid who expected her to submit and cater to him... he didn't reciprocate with love or support her emotionally. Good riddance.
He probably still is utterly immature. Thats part of his education from his parents as a child. Imagine thinking like he thinks your whole life. Old dogs cant learn new tricks or at least how to be with a woman.
I never got that impression. He was always praising her and spoiling her with amazing surprises. Look how patient he was with her with the dinner. He never said she had to do it -- she put that pressure on herself.
"Nick wanted me to become more of a women before we got married.... i took on cooking to become more of a women" wow so many things wrong with those two sentences.
Jessica is really immature and pretty incompetent but she tried really hard to please Nick and he constantly made fun of her and dismissed her feelings. Now that I'm older I completely understand why they didn't work.
The show should of been Britney and Nick, she had more skills, tough as a brick wall and all she wanted from a guy was a fairy tale love, thhats it and if he still had a problem with that she didn't mind grabbing a damn umbrella.
Jessica stood up and he treats her the way she treated herself. She did what he wanted all the time without having his own opinion and he got bored. It is evident because this couple did not work from the beginning, failure was seen I agree with the first comment because I see the same
I hate people making rude comments about her. She was just young and didn't know any better about marriage. She did just about what everyone does in the early years but hers is shown on t.v....
This is a great example of marrying someone for their looks, and realizing that they are not compatible. Just because someone looks good it doesn't mean that they are good for you. 🧡
I can't believe I never noticed this when I was young I must have been about 17 but he was a complete asshole to her. He was nasty and I never noticed that I just thought he was annoyed because she was dumb but in reality he treated her like crap.
Aw She tried!! When this show came out, I was Super young. Watching it back now, I don't understand why they even got married? Doesn't't seem like a match at all.
I was thinking the same thing. Everyone used to say she was so stupid but now looking back she wasnt stupid she was just a 20 something woman adjusting to married life
+Jay Hardy Brown she thought Buffalo wings came from Buffalo among other things she has said, she is a little dumb but I wouldn't say completely stupid
Annie&jedda OMG😶 that's why I don't wanna get married😬 I wanna do what the hell I wanna do on my own timing when it comes to marriage. Like.....fuck cooking dinner you cook it or go buy yourself something 😕 and clean up after yourself remember your own shit🙃
Yeah it's different when you're actually in a happy and healthy relationship... you don't feel obligated and do things for them reluctantly.. but still marriage isn't for everyone
Annie Harrison its not even that if u love each other u do it out of love and on both sides , not cause ahh u have to and as well as don't treat the other like a dog , talk together and grow in sympathy and love, means b considerate
Being a wife isn't being a slave for your husband... being a wife is being a team together. If my husband doesn't like o cook, he knows for sure he is gong to do the laundry.
DelynnLove my husband does so many things in our home regardless if I cooked. I'm sorry you have to live like that, like tit-for-tat. Men should just do things without looking if i cooked or not hahaha
Of course, though both Nick and Jessica admitted he was the one to do most of the chores and she slacked. Just because she wanted to cook a romantic dinner doesn't mean she served the purpose of being his slave. If anything it was the other way around with how spoiled she was.
i agree Jessica is and always be A SPOILED BRAT! ITS YOUR FUCKING COMMITMENT TO COOK AND DO STUFF AT HOME IF U CHOSEN TO MARRY ! THOSE COMMENTS COME FROM KIDS 12 OLD - WHO NEVER BEEN MARRIED ! IF THEY KEEP THIS ATTITUDE WILL BE DIVORCED AFTER 1 MONTH OF MARRIGE TOO. IF U HAD ANY EZXPIERNCE U WOULD knOW EVERY MAN EXPECT WIFE TO DO FEMALE STUFF , thats what for he gets marriage otherwise he can have just lovers not wife, husband do different stuff his work . he got different job and different role from woman
she never did a good wife and never will do, its easy to see now to whole world to see! good wife take care of home , even if u are rich and can have maids and servants u should at least KNOW how to do it all. She would never do a good mom if she cant cook,. kids would starve
One has to remember,Nick is 7 years older than Jess. He was 29, she was 22. She was also a star by 14 who was spoiled. How could he expect her to transition so quickly into a wife/homemaker. Nick knew what he had when he married Jess. I think he went for looks, no shot a Jess. It's clear she's wasn't mature enough to be married at the time. Best Wishes to them both now.
Age isn't always a factor, much of it is how someone is brought up, the way people around them lived, learning what they can learn and then knowing what they want. Britney and Jessica were both very innocent in personality, Brit could be very much like a child most of the time and she became the most famous woman in the world at 16 years old. Thing is she knew how to live in a house, clean it, cook, etcs in fact she said as far as cleaning she was OCD about it and only had a maid one day a week due to the house size. And then she had two kids practically back to back while the paparazzi were all over her and given as much money as she had she could of paid someone to do everything, Britney stated in an interview she wouldn't buy a thousand dollar sweater even though that is nothing to her, means she looks at the prices and if they are insane for regular people she wouldn't buy it. I think the only time she would spend big on clothes is if they were for special events. She wannted a loving marriage and kids and pretty much had that when she was not much older than Jessica. Her only issue was pretty much things outside of the home, trusting the wrong people, etc because when she wasn't taking carre of things she was just a very fun person, she knew how to run a house but she was easily pressured and taken advantage of when it came to the business which I think Nick would have been happy to play protective hero in that department, I would have liked for them to have gotten together instead. To me Justin is more like Jessica, like a spoiled teenage boy, out of control, getting revenge on people, his MV when Britney and him split, though when they were together he wasn't like that so I am sure Jessica's loyalty would have been better suited for him. Point is, each girl should of gotten the other guy.
Funniest part of this is seeing 20-somethings check the newspaper for movie times and cookbooks for recipes. Now everyone’s just stuck in their phones 😂
Prolly the first time she was living away from home and has to cook for herself...she's like 19? 20? That's kinda old to not know how to cook but she's trying he's a grown man and she's still a child... :/ At least she's doing it
@@lupeavila4595 here you are wishing you were her lol... sorry Lupe, you can clean a million toilets but you'll only make enough for a night out at Burger King.
I think it's a mistake to marry someone who is not willing to be a wife. IMO, a wife is the nurturer of a family. Her role is to have kids, raise them, cook, clean and be a (GASP) good mother. She keeps the balance within. The husband keeps the balance without. He provides and protects his loved ones. Many have forgotten this balance. Women have forgotten their valuable society roles and are instead insisting on taking masculine roles. Just like a key fits a lock, a woman should stay in her lane and do what she does best. And here is the thing... there is NO SHAME in that. It is an honorable, and respected role. It is so VITAL.... but most of you have forgotten that. Father Time will show you individually that what I'm sayin is true... When your ovaries dry up and you miss your window, you'll be alone and completely unfulfilled. And here's a bit more honesty for you - - if you're husband is doing that for you, he's failing his role as a man. You will eventually lose all respect for him... Sex will drop... and you'll look for a more alpha male to put you in your place. Turn back before it's too late LOL... or not. It's your life.
PureWoody her new relationship is great she seems to be a good mom and I don’t think she’s as stupid as they made her look in the tv show or she wouldn’t be a billionaire if you watched the show nick was so rude and from what I have heard his 2nd marriage isn’t going that well he has a problem drinking sounds like he was a dick

I remember watching this at 19 years old in 2003 and saying to myself I guess this is how a relationship needs to be, 18 years later now I'm 37 no wife and no kids
Marriage don't mean shit even with kids. Cuz there's no guarantees in life. Not even death. You know life is short. We can be here today. Gone tomorrow. lol
Typical relationship/marriage where the woman is always doing things to please the guy she is with meanwhile the guy treats her like shit and doesn't appreciate a god damn thing she does!!!
Andrew Guidice To be honest, there's nothing wrong with him being old fashioned and she already knew that about him before she married and still decided to marry him. I don't think he treated her like shit this whole video especially since he surprised her with something romantic. He just made jokes like any other husband/boyfriend would.
Nick didn't appreciate her. You can tell everything she did she did to please his ungrateful ass. And NOT once did he offer to help her make dinner. :(
He was talking to his brother Drew on the phone, which is why Jessica follows with the comment of "Leah had dinner on the table and I have it in grocery sacks"
PureWoody PureWoody PureWoody uh..thanks for the compliment (?) Hmm.. agree with most of it but the "the can be much dumber or much smarter." can be applied to anyone ..no matter the sex. Tbh I hate the virus that is the human race (misanthropist here), doesn't matter what the gender. So I guess It doesn't matter if it's a man or a woman, we're all nothing and are gonna end up dead someday.
It doesn't apply to anyone. I"m stating evidence found through years of study. Men are of superior intelligence but can also be a lot dumber than women ON AVERAGE. Women generally cluster around the mean. But overall, you're right. None of this matters. I just stumbled across this video and noticed the insane amount of feminist bullshit in the comments. I thought it would be interesting to challenge some of it, and not ONE single bitch could argue anything logically. Not one. smh. Also, my husband is not God's gift to earth. He can cook dinner. It won't kill him. I could be the bread winner, but being home with my child is more important.
Jessica is so cute without makeup.
And she’s on a tv show without it. You RARELY see these things from people now!
true that

But why nick always wearing his hat? I don't know you can wear a hat in the house.. 😅

"I didn't plan good" broke my damn heart cause I know that feeling all too well
When you have a woman that's doesn't have much experience in regards to household stuff like cooking ect. you have to be patient with her and still remind her that she's your #1 babes even when the food tastes crappy.I went through it and now my wife is a BOSS in the kitchen and still super fine after 17yrs.
LOL, I think it depends because your wife was actually putting in the effort to be a better cook.
She was really trying her best to do something nice for him as to impress him and he was ALWAYS so condescending to her
You're a fat ugly feminist. No question about it.
He took her out on a hot air balloon
They just weren't each others types
that was her best she was annoying ... he wasnt that bad compared to her.
The ability to cook doesn't make you a woman. There is more to it than that.
Yeah, she should have focused on belching less to start off with. Should watch the camping episode---very unladylike.
What's ironic is that you're calling me stupid, yet you can't spell "petals".
lol! :D
LOL, yea it's the first step. IF your bitch ass doesn't cook, you're kicked to the curb.
but not much more.

@I8thumper another dumb bitch
Vona Rose No he didn’t. He was in a failed boy band. She was a huge pop star.
Justin Hopkins wrong. She became more successful throughout the course of this show, but st the start he was more famous and the breadwinner.
Not when this was on he had more money than her.
Marriage is about being a team and making compromises for each other!
kristina1922 that’s beautiful and that’s what I strive to see in my future husband.
Congrats on your divorce
He seems to just strut around the house waiting for her to please him.

Dude was mean to her but took her on romantic dinners to make up for it, haha smh. Who wants that?
Especially when the air balloon ride wasn’t even his idea it was what the show producers wanted him to do.
They have zero chemistry at all. I feel really sad for her. He makes her feel so insignificant and not good enough without even hardly trying.
Any toxic guy ever
Okay, so let me get this straight...
She brings home the money - he controls the finances
She's the reason they have this show...

Learning life skills is a GOOD thing! lol...
"Watching these it just doesn't make sense why nick even married her." He was thinking with his dick, sweetie.
He probably thought he could "mold" her. Pfft
She said she was a virgin until her wedding night. They probably got married so they could finally have sex, lol!
this is so sad to watch
Wow I remember this use to come on when I was little now I’m an adult 28 yrs old and nick was a full blown narcissist 😩
He wasn't a grown man he was a punk kid who expected her to submit and cater to him... he didn't reciprocate with love or support her emotionally. Good riddance.
True !
He probably still is utterly immature. Thats part of his education from his parents as a child. Imagine thinking like he thinks your whole life. Old dogs cant learn new tricks or at least how to be with a woman.
Agreed.
I know a couple just like them. He's so insecure and 1950's and they'll never make it.
I never got that impression. He was always praising her and spoiling her with amazing surprises. Look how patient he was with her with the dinner. He never said she had to do it -- she put that pressure on herself.
"Nick wanted me to become more of a women before we got married.... i took on cooking to become more of a women" wow so many things wrong with those two sentences.
you're a fucking SIMP
Jessica is really immature and pretty incompetent but she tried really hard to please Nick and he constantly made fun of her and dismissed her feelings. Now that I'm older I completely understand why they didn't work.
she barely tried. She was a useless spoiled bitch.
The show should of been Britney and Nick, she had more skills, tough as a brick wall and all she wanted from a guy was a fairy tale love, thhats it and if he still had a problem with that she didn't mind grabbing a damn umbrella.
SAME
Jessica stood up and he treats her the way she treated herself. She did what he wanted all the time without having his own opinion and he got bored. It is evident because this couple did not work from the beginning, failure was seen
I agree with the first comment because I see the same
Even though this is over and a million years old, I still LOVE LOVE LOVE this. She set so many trends, some I still do to this day.
It’s like 20 years old. If it were a million years old, there wouldn’t be cars and newspapers and stuff.
I hate people making rude comments about her. She was just young and didn't know any better about marriage. She did just about what everyone does in the early years but hers is shown on t.v....
If she was too young then why in the world did she get married? She made a costly mistake.
This is a great example of marrying someone for their looks, and realizing that they are not compatible. Just because someone looks good it doesn't mean that they are good for you. 🧡
And their money
I sincerely believe he married her cuz she would only have sex after the wedding 😢

I judged Jessica for leaving Nick, but now, i can see clearly why she fell out of love. I think they were both very inexperienced, but he was mean
Very mean
He was a complete douche

M Lane Girl..count it as a lesson learned. More and better fish in th e sea. Best Wishes!
Point is, each girl should of gotten the other guy.
.

PureWoody that bitch now owns a billion dollar company you must work at Walmart
PureWoody I work on the pipeline making $45 a hr but she is married and has 2 kids the things women can do when we have a good husband to back us up 😂
I think it's a mistake to marry someone who is not willing to be a wife.

Andrew Guidice To be honest, there's nothing wrong with him being old fashioned and she already knew that about him before she married and still decided to marry him. I don't think he treated her like shit this whole video especially since he surprised her with something romantic. He just made jokes like any other husband/boyfriend would.

Not one. smh. Feel free to peruse this comment section and see just how stupid folks can be.
I know right ..All that fool did was walk around the house barking at folks..and never wore any real clothes...LOL!
The editing and montages of this show are unmatched. Classic humor!
You know....yes, Jessica was a bit of an airhead when she was younger, but you could tell she actually did “try”. Bless her heart. But now, they...she’s a billionaire and he? Well....I think he’s happy? Lol.
Money isn’t the best measure of success...she has also suffered from alcoholism.
They both are successful. Nick produces shows and films. Jessica has her clothing line.
They were too young for marriage
They married too young
annajeehee Agreed!
Men seldom grow up
Exactly! They both learned from it though, least it was a growing life experience.
Yes for sure! For some people it works, I believe he’s a bit older but honestly he seems like an ass.
annajeehee I think he married her for the wrong reasons smh and she was so naive and didn’t know no better .. she was a virgin church girl living w mom and dad that did everything for her . He married her so they could have sex my opinion Frm watching how he treats her
I used to watch this Nick,& Jessica reality show 😍it was my favorite show at all the time ✌🙋💙 loved it!!
This was my absolute favorite show growing up!! Love me some Jessica ❤️❤️❤️
jessica looks so unhappy in that relationship and it shows by her facial expressions
I like her without makeup more
the8419 One of those rare beauties that doesn't need an ounce of it!
+racing extinction they're just complimenting her.
6:53 jessica getting scorched in grease while nick stocks up the fridge w/ beers 😭😭😭😂😂😂😂
Nick acted like a douchebag- never warming to Jessica when she needed him. I feel for her because I am her in trying to adult! Learning to do laundry and cooking at 21 while alone in a university.
