I know I'm commenting a lot, but I just wanted you to know that this video was really good for my mental health. I've been having a tough week and today is the first time I had the spoons to pick up my knitting again. Just wanted to let you know this video is one of the reasons why ☺️
That is a gorgeous dye and stunning spin! Hooray for ‘Flagpole Friends’ turning me on to cool flooftubers! Also pink is original and essential to the rainbow. People who don’t want to see it are antithetical to the spirit of Pride.
Happy pride! Thank you for the pride rant/monolog in the middle of the video. It was funny and uplifting. "Let people live" what a great idea ❤️ I'm trying to stay positive too, I find it harder every year, but I do my best!
I celebrated pride with my non binary kid this year, we went to the pride parade. It was only the second year a parade was organized in my city so still very new. But we had a great time!
Reading instructions and measuring is for the weak! And will never come back to bite me xD hahaha i should check what the measurement is supposed to be xD
@@etienne6916 - In a lot of Asian families, when it comes to cooking you’ll hear: “as much as your ancestors tell you to” or “let your ancestors speak”. I might not be Asian but I think that applies to the dosage of a lot of things, and not just for food. Perhaps for the dyeing of fibre it’ll be “your soul will tell you how much”.
I really enjoyed watching the video in the background. How the heck does making yarn work! Crazy. And I so agree with your opinion towards the Pride rant. I’m hetero, but I did attend the pride parade in Cologne, Germany once some years ago and I had so much fun! I also am shocked that people are annoyed of pride, thinking that pride people want to force on everyone their „ideology“. Such a nonsense. I wish people would stop distracting from real problems like climate change, wars or closer to home topics, such as pensions, demographic change etc. I feel like the world will face more and more severe problems, therefore people feel like it is easier to just criticize other people that appear to be different, as it is easier than facing the real problems.
The original pride flag did have pink in it! It got taken out (along with turquoise) bc those colours were too costly to dye. So I'm happy to see at least the pink return (◕ᴗ◕✿)
This is so awesome. Thank you for taking us on the journey with you. Your so talented. I love spinning and you inspire me to be more creative with it. Thank you so so much for making these vids. :D
Please use a respirator when handling dye powder, it's not good to breathe that in! The colors turned out great (I think it was a good call to add a bit of red to the orange) and your yarn turned out beautifully!! I hope we get to see the socks in a future video
I was this many years old when I read my wheel manual and found out the tension system can switch to the other side for plying. I’ve had the wheel six years 😂😂😂 Also, I love your sock gradient, it’s fantastic.
I would have had to weight it beforehand hahaha but total i have 185g of spun yarn and they were about the same size for each colors so around 30g of each colors give or take haha
Canada like. D o u b l e t h e p r i d e. Anyway this yarn looks amazing. Honestly if you have this much you could probably make a pride scarf... Although maybe not if your pride events are in August XD (Also yes people are very mad about ~the gays~ teaching their kids about things like... Consent... It might give them ideas, you know)

Those socks are going to be absolutely beautiful! And thank you for not only mentioning Jente from Mijn Wolden, but also pronouncing her bale right!

"a fun project for funsies, we need chaos in our life" - I endorse this message :D
(ps. Pineapple shorts are the embodiment of chaos, love to see it)
Those are the best projects! :D

Thanks! And yes of course the pride sock video will happen :D
@@etienne6916 Better late than never - I'm glad to hear you'll be using one going forward! I'm for sure looking forward to the pride sock video :)
My primary wheels only have a spring on one side too - maybe this is why plying has been uncomfortable? Mind… blown? I need to test this immediately!
It was a life changing tweak to my wheel tbh :)

please tell how much each fiber weighs for each color or length, thank you
