Weird combo would be you and me collabing. I'm down if you are
hi frost hows the bunny doin. also i’d love you and baalor coop ❤
Make it happen!?
Hope it happens, would love to see both your mannerisms clash
Happy monke noises
Despite both of you playing StS I never considered you both in the same place since your vibe is so different.
it's amazing how tense I feel 25 minutes into this, even though I can see the whole video lasts 2 hours
I remember that in one vod he actualy put a failed run in the first part followed by another one, so I was definitly afraid something like that would happen ^^'
Timestamps for when Baalor picks up the cards and relic in the thumbnail (Caltrops, Malaise x2, and Torii):
Malaise #1: (53:15) (Floor 24 Combat)
Torii: (1:07:05) (Floor 31 Elite)
Malaise #2: (1:12:10) (Act 2 Boss)
Caltrops: (1:27:45) (Floor 44 Elite)
Making multi-hitters feels the pain, a classic Silent staple!
The weirdest combo is actually found at the combination taco bell KFC where you can get a cheesy gordito crunch and mashed potatoes.
Truly we live in the end times
That is weird.
What is a "gordito"? Hahahah
This was the most amazingly spine-chilling Act One I have ever witnessed. Absolute cinema!!
Must be pretty tough carrying those steel balls through Act 1.
😅
Dude that first slime fight was so interesting to see. Looking at draw and deciding you wanna go for the big slime. Thats some insane game knowledge!!
"We take the risk early, so we don't have any risk late." - Me trying to justify taking 4 elites including a burning one with no rest sites. (I'm actually just greedy for relics)
so me
Berry much bunny behavior
I stopped playing for a few months after not being able to get an A20 win with the Silent (ther than the first time, for the achievement).
In these few months I just watched Baalor runs of the Silent, then came back to playing a few days ago and won 2 runs out of 6 played!!! Thanks ❤
The act 1 pathing definately felt wrong but you played insanely well. It felt like there was massive amount of luck involved there. The upgrade pot being a decent to strong combat pot. The bag of prep pick up. The glass knife. I feel if any of those things didnt happen the streak would have died.
Even with all that though you made it through because of skill becuase that stituation was like a spire challenge puzzle. I don't believe that any players but the most elite players could have survived that pathing with those same choices.
Absolutely insane accomplishment winning that act 1 after all that.
you know, everytime someone asks him if he's involved in spire 2 he always says something like""no, but if i was, I would be under a non-disclosure agreement so i would have to say this" which is kind of like a less obvious way of saying "I'm not allowed to say".
I am 100% subscribed to the theory that Baalor is a playtester for STS2. His answers to some questions have been a bit off. For example, he stated that even AFTER STS2 releases, he may do rotating streaks across both games. That seemed really odd to me, why wouldn’t you just fully transition to the new content? What this tells me is that either STS2 is quite different from STS1 and playing both games will help bridge the gap a bit for his viewers, or STS2 isn’t as good as he hoped (probably the first option though)
@@Cany0udancethat's conspiratorial, he explained why before. Without knowing what it's like there is always a real chance that the first game is more enjoyable. And regardless as a content creator he would likely benefit from playing the newer one more even if it is less enjoyable. No insider knowledge is needed to know both games is likely the correct answer at least early on.
The 8:00 AM uploads give me life
It's 9:30 pm where I'm at😂
12:00 for me, perfect to watch while eating lunch!
25:00 Impressive immortality starts here
Fourth boat relic: Steam Engine, Boss relic that gives 6 block per turn
Poor orichalcum (and that watcher plated armor relic)! You left them out of a job!
Card ideas:
Full Disclosure - Rare.
Look at the top 5 cards of drawpile, organize in any order and draw 1. Upgraded to look at 6, draw 2.
NDA: Look at 5 cards, discard 4, draw 1 next turn.
Upgraded to: Look at 6, draw 2 next turn.
Why am I so scared for StS2? Why do I feel like it'll be too different?
Silksong released side by side with StS2? Why do I have so many questions?
That Hexaghost draw order was actually the nuts
This episode is sponsored by " Tiny Chest come back™ "
that left side act 1 path was insane
Weird combo = taking Quick Slash
The heart killed itself 🤣
I did it! I spotted a mistake 50:00.
So he is human after all!
What was the mistake? Also why does he skip tiny chest?
Cos of cursed key
@broor cursed key
What’s the mistake? Missed one damage on Gremlin Leader?
What a nail-biting start.. not very risk-averse imho haha
10:30 i really wish someone would tell this to Northernlion lol
Silent is so much fun. Last run I had Nightmare, Fumes, Adrenaline, and two Bullet Times. 4 zero cost Fumes melts EVERYTHING
Barricade is my favorite power but I wouldn't call it satisfying to play, simply because it so rarely has a big payoff the turn you play it. The satisfaction comes when you finally build up a ridiculous amount of block - your Impervious, your big Entrench, recently I've really liked Fiend Fire + FNP.
Crazy that you survived past 23:00.
Awakened one? More like aWEAKened one!
That act 1 was insane!
What an insane act one
I think one of my problems in Slay the Spire is that emotionally, I feel like any time I take damage I've messed up, even though some damage is unavoidable and even potentially strategic. I know HP is a resource, but like any resource in a video game, I want to hoard all of it to take into the final boss and never spend it in case I need it later.
I understand how you feel, slay the spire is definitely the game that broke me out of my "save it for an occassion" mindset, I couldn't tell you how many potions I've had to skip because I save them to my own detriment, I had to play for a week with the determination to never a skip a potion and it really helped me improve
Can someone explain the Tiny Chest skip? Isn't it a net positive even though it's slow?
32:08 Yoshikage Kira
What a spooky run
I love to take an Act 1 burning elite. Do I always fully consider whether my deck is ready before committing to it? Let's not split hairs.
How often does he win his runs? I’m curious how often the best players win? I win some a20 runs but I also die at the end of act 3 mostly
Baalors overall winrate on A20 heart runs in 2024 was 60%. Ironclad: 67% - Silent: 56% - Defect: 50% - Watcher: 87%
@ holy shit that’s insane. I die on the act 3 bosses so much…I wish I had a coach or smth to figure out what I’m missing to make more optimal choices
crazy act 1 path
I don't know how rng works with boss swap. Given the boss reward at the end of act 1, would Baalorlord have ended up with black star if he had picked boss swap from the whale at the beginning there?
Silent my beloved. I hope she is better in STS2
Why skip tiny chest at 50:30
Cursed key. So it would just add curses
@notkaty are events better than nothing in general?
@@broorThere are a lot of events with potential upside and very few with forced downside, or few enough that are so bad it would be worth avoiding most of the time. At least once you're good enough at the game that you're excited to see the coliseum event.
Evenom where art thou? Seriously though that act one path felt like insanity. Still, doesn't matter if you win by an inch or a quarter mile I guess.
Sick act1. Very entertaining
I don't know why but when I started playing this game the Silent was my favorite class. Now it's the only class I don't like at all and never use. Silent reminds me of rogue from Hearthstone. Maybe that's what it is, I'm just bored of that type of class after spending a few thousand hours on Hearthstone.
hind sight membership card probably would of killed you
Unfortunately I’ll have to report this video for toxicity ;) GG, tho
I get sad when some1 skips Pandora's box
It's so funny the amount of shit talk quick slash receives, but he plays it Everytime he draws it. It's not a bad card and should be considered above average
It's so bad. It's better than strike, you take it when you need damage and don't have better options, but it's bad.
It’s a bad card because Dagger Throw exists. The number of times the discard off Dagger Throw is more harmful than it is helpful is minuscule, and Quick Slash is one of the few cards directly comparable to another class’s card(Pommel Strike), which is undeniably stronger. It’s still damage, and there are circumstances where I would pick it over anything else, but they’re few and far between.
It’s a bit like Iron Wave on Ironclad. Functionally good, but doesn’t exactly fit with any of Ironclad’s overarching strategies(full block wants Body Slam, strength gain wants Twin Strike, it doesn’t Exhaust, and it doesn’t do any self damage).
I think it's considered bad not because it's worse to have than the starting deck, but because what it does is done better by a variety of other cards that you would prefer in literally every situation. Damage is good and card draw is good. Silent has much better options for that even in the common pool.
It's definitely not a good card. It's a meat and potatoes type card that you pick to help your act 1. It's like a C grade card early but later it's a lot worse than something similar like flying knee.
You take it early act 1 because you need damage to fight elites because silent struggles at damage in the first five floors and into elite fights unless you take every early damage card. And the card is usually a skip in late act 1 unless you need damage for hexaghost or slime boss.
It's never good enough where you'd be like I want multiples of this card. It's a much worse pommel strike on a character that literally has no issue with finding good draw cards in their pool.
Most similar damage cards I would rather pick over this card.
I hate pandoras skips, especially with full starter deck (+ End of Act 2). I had to abandone a lot of Your videos cause...
He was on a large streak and he picked what he thought was the most consistent choice.
