This is my adaptation of the Sad Story of Henry BCC made back in 1953 using up to date info and to the best of my ability.
This is part 1 of PROJECT 53 where I plan to adapt the other stores for television too. Next episode that will be made is “Edward and Gordon”.

That was brilliant! Think you've recreated the episode from the information and the reviews very well. What's funny is I actually felt annoyed when the trains didn't run properly even though it was done deliberately, everyone at home most likely felt the same when they watched the 1953 viewing. Thought the narrator's performance was really spot-on for that decade too! Well done everyone, absolutely loved it!

Thank you! Henry actually didn’t work so he had to be pulled by fishing line but the effects covered it up hopefully.

the wonky editing kinda works in it's favour for that fact, because it was all live & thus little to no time to react in the soundbooth

Good work. I can see the models jiggling is based on the fact they actually did during the recording. And I didn't recall points on a dead end, derailing Henry. Impressive recreating that moment, though. And I'm amazed to see a model of James used to push Henry out. Oh, yeah, nice having a lady narrate, as that was the original plan. 👍

Just a guess but they likely taped over it since it was a live broadcast and BBC often did that to other shows so it might be lost to time. But we all hope it get revealed
