After trading in my 8pro and with a $30 discount I will be able to get a brand new 12 for $560 👍 So many people get so hung up on the camera systems. I'm sure most would be happy with this setup. It basically comes down to Apples and oranges or Samsung's or Pixels and in my opinion I do not think there's a major difference. If you want to take professional style photos.... buy a professional camera. Otherwise in my opinion I think this gets the job done.

Is there any area where the Samsung S23+/U beats this?
I'm a Samsung girl all the way already ordered paid 650. and am happy to do it! But I love your videos!
Definitely going for S24 Ultra
Does the back glass feel like the Moto Edge+ 2023?! That's the best feeling glass to me❤
Just pre-ordered mine with the $50 off drop voucher. Hoping to make this my longest kept phone ever.
Kicking myself for missing out on $9.90 offer to get $50 discount. Ordered too but wasted all day dealing with customer service. What case is best? Ordered the official case.
@@latinreuben I personally really like their sandstone bumpers. They made it like $5 cheaper this year too so that's good. I ordered a few random ones from Amazon. Not too many well known brands making cases for the 12, at least not yet. Spigen is the only one I saw.
@@nightshadesalad I didn't see SPigen for Oneplus 12R on Amazon…I think I only saw Tudia brand,
@@latinreuben I don't think they're making a case for the 12R. I had a tudia for my 10T, but it doesn't hold its shape very well. If you don't plan on swapping cases very often, it should be okay, but otherwise avoid.
@@nightshadesaladthanks for info. Planned to use official case until Spigen arrives on Amazon down the line.
Says better than S24 ultra proceeds to start listing off all the things it doesn't have that the samsung does.
Chinese-made phones are unreliable and likely to break down soon, but the best phones are definitely the Galaxy and iPhone.
My OnePlus 8 is still going 4 years later.
Hi Adam can you confirm a factory screen protector is on this device. Pre-ordered today.
According with OnePlus site is preinstaled
I think they are moving to month security patches. Atleast on the Open, I've received an update each month. Currently sitting on the January patch
But most people had OnePlus from T-Mobile. A lot of people don't know about OnePlus still now. No advertising and now you have to buy it straight thought best buy. I think Carrier customers have the most flagships than non carrier customers because of the amount of straight out purchase. But my 7 pro is still in great shape even though it's just a stored device now for me.
Advertising costs money, not advertising is one of the reasons they can make this phone so cheap
All embargos lifted now?
Never was an embargo on oneplus
@@Christopherj-cq2ey i meant the review embargo on posting videos
If it didn’t have curves it would be perfect. Curved screens are for the trash.
Is this compatible with Google apps, etc.?
Yes. Have used Google as the main platform on all my OP phones. Works excellent.
So I know my OnePlus 6t wouldn't work on Verizon. You had to have Verizon enable stuff on their end, it would turn into a mess. Does anyone know if this one will work without "extra steps" to make it work? Always been a pixel and OnePlus fan. Pixel 8 or OnePlus 12??
My 10 pro works, only thing that doesn't work is wifi calling. I just swapped out the sim.
Just sold my OP 11 with 512GB. Definitely gonna get this before i consider getting the S24 Ultra. Almost a year and the 23 U still going strong. Im gettin this tho. ❤
How do u sell cell?
@@latinreuben friends, family, online
Take OP12 over a Pixel 8 Pro anyday. Free storage upgrade, Instant Rebate, 0-100% in under 30mins, Great Build, Extremely Bright Display, and Snapdragon 8Gen3. OP12 is a true value for money Flagship.
no sd card support?
You going to do a Pixel 8 Pro vs OnePlus12?
Easy OnePlus 12 because the TSMC made Snapdragon 8 gen 3 is better than the Samsung made Tensor 3
I ordered one today. Not really a Samsung guy until the fold is improved. For that price and trade in if my 11 400.
Nice. That’s a good deal.
In samsungs defense they are offering like $900 for their old phones so they are pretty up there with the price too, in that sense
Lies and nonsense. My brother had an S23U and wanted to get an S24U. They gave him $660 for his old phone and he had to pay an additional $780 on top of his phone. Do you understand what you are saying?
@@mohxzh4741the carrier deal were great, AT&T gave me 800 dollars for my 21 ultra towards the S24 ultra switching to them.
@@mohxzh4741 you okay buddy? Yeah I do. My friend just traded in his old note and they gave him $900 for it so $500 for the phone ish.
I just got a OP12 so im not on anyone's side I'm just stating facts. OP offered less for phones than samsung did
Dude.. I like you.. You don't talk about all kind of unrelated crap AND you explain it with everyday words and not like your audience are professionals 😭 100% can recommend your videos.
Does it has ip68 or is just ip67?
It's Ip65. In reality it's probably IP68 but OnePlus saves money by not paying for ratings
Is the back glass or plastic?
Glass
There aren't any phones touching the Ultra, at least here in the West. The Ultra can do everything that other phones can do and more. The better comparison would be with the S24+.
From what ive gathered, Samsung pros *Ai (free til 2025), s pen, 7 years updates. One+ Fast charging wired and wireless, ir blaster, can use screen when wet, big battery, 4 year update, comes with charger, greater value than most
This phone destroys the S24+. That's why everyone is comparing it to the Ultra
@AdamSmith-gs2dv no quality of life features, barely any exclusive features, misleading amount of nit brightness, non existent ecosystem, less customization, inconsistent updates, etc. One plus is not what you guys make it out to be.
Please do OP12r breakdown... Btw, u cannot apply student discount on pre-order & OP12r only has 3yr OS / 4 yr security upgrade (OP12 has 4yr OS / 5yr security upgrade).
The best feature of my s23 ultra is the system equalizer. It makes my iems sound way better. It has 9 bands (63, 125, 250, 500, 1k, 2k, 4k, 8k, and 16k).
Does the Oneplus12 have this feature? Can you please check?
Every flagship killer to say it correctly
One thing to point out which swayed my choice was the AI gimmick of Galaxy. i dont know if it was worth spending all the extra money on, we will see
AI gimmick is only free for 2 years on all S24

Looks like a good phone, especially the two day battery life. Still don't think the camera looks that good compared with the Pixel or iPhone. Lack of A.I is also a bummer but if you don't care about that stuff it's worth it at $799.
No S pen, I actually use mine daily
I like OnePlus but ive never not had problems with them via Verizon. Constant bluetooth problems, service issues, always a hassle
IDK about Bluetooth issues but the service issues are because Verizon sucks. They try as hard as possible to make using anything other than their branded devices as hard as possible
Let's be real do you really need a phone to get that bright
This looks like a fantastic phone! Super fast, great battery, blazing fast charging with a brick and cord included, great photos, and I'll be buying it for $599.99 with my trade-in! I love my OnePlus 11 but this one should be even better. Thank you for a great review. 😊
We will see about crashing apps and the phone restarting randomly
I have one plus open but thinking about getting this aswell as it would be nice to get a fairly decently priced slab phone to change to every so often 😄👍
I just preordered from Oneplus, traded my Oneplus 9, and with the great trade in I paid 499.00. They threw in a wireless charger. And to think I almost ordered the S24 Plus, which would have been 899.00 with trade in. Sorry Sammy.
Im in the same boat, you got this deal from oneplus?
@@speedshifter101 Yes!
My s24+ was 899 without trade-in and I got a free upgrade to 512GB of storage along with getting free credit for pre-ordering.
I miss the $100 off but I put my order in and I'm totally stoked with a trade-in for my three generation old phone to a new one can't wait to get it one plus for the win
Big OnePlus fan... Currently typing this on my OnePlus 8 pro and still going 💪. Had a 3T and sexy red 6 as well (please bring that color back 👍👍) Will be pre-ordering the 12 probably tonight or tomorrow. For the price and the upgraded storage you can't go wrong.
Damn, guess I'm getting the phone that got "killed" I'm weeping so hard. Gonna absolutely be sooo miserable with the 24 ultra 😂
I think the 7 years support is more useful for if you're getting the phone 2 or 3 years later after a price drop
For the first time in 16 years I'm thinking about switching from Samsaung to OPPO. What will perform like with a Samsung watch?
If I wasn't so deep in the Samsung ecosystem (Book3pro360, galaxy tab) I would definitely get it
Nope, Oneplus is not Samsung, Google or Apple, they can make a great device but as much as I live the specs of their devices including their foldable device, the service and customer support is still a major in here in the States so no thanks, I got the S24 Ultra for the same prices as this Oneplus device after few promotions.
It's better
