    This is really great info, but I found myself being angry that Jan seemed to be cut out of the conversation. All the questions seemed to be addressed to David and when Jan tried to comment she seemed cut off and not listened to.

    Amen to the paper-cut analogy! We often really don't consider how badly we hurt our spouses and they often don't consider how badly they hurt us. Paper cuts really sting....especially if they happen daily or hourly, etc.

    It might be worth mentioning that if you’re afraid that your spouse is having an affair, it might be worth having a look at yourself are you meeting your spouses needs ? , are you being someone who your spouse wants to be around ?. So many affairs happen from unmet needs

      Are you implying that unmet needs are a valid reason for an affair? Or needs, unmet or otherwise, are the responsibility of the spouse?

      Unmet needs? Maybe a counseling session to communicate would be more appropriate than having an affair huh? Sounds a little like narcissistic talk to me.
